Quit with the dumbfuckery already! 🙄🙄🙄
Naming ceremonies are practiced in Nigeria across many ethnic groups. Has been the case for at least the last 60 years of the country's existence. 😞
Stop spewing out rubbish. Igbos and those from the south-south don't do any naming ceremony.
I'm sure the northerners too don't do it.
That's purely a yoruba culture, and not Nigeria's, you misguided non-male, non-female aka non-binary creature.

There is no importance attached to it except the delusions born of tradition or religion. In Western nations, most kids are officially named as they are born in the hospital and once the name is entered into the Birth at that point, that is it.
Are the destinies of your Nigerian children better than the destinies of Western children who were never named during your naming ceremonies?
At your age and as someone who grew up in Nigeria, irrespective of wherever you are now, you should be able to differentiate a Nigerian thing from a Yoruba/tribal thing.

Your Governors are collecting security votes but what are they using for?, to carry foreign hOes?, or lavish recklessly?. You keep pampering Ipob terrorists but you keep running to SW for safe abode. Is it until SW enact a law to build a wall around their borders before you take security seriously in your region. We are watching.
Ediot, ipob is just a secessionist group fighting against the injustice your useless, biased, bigoted and tribalistic fathers created, and every reasonable Igbo is ing them. Which one is ''you keep pampering...."
Such a group can't just be branded a terrorist group just because the same biased fathers of yours said so out of their useless sentiments

This guy is supposed to be my closest friend. But the way he gives so much attention to the any girl he is dating is really sad. All the girls I have known him with are girls that leech on him and in the end, dump him in the most despicable manner. He's an adult and I can't control what he does with himself, but as a friend, I am really concerned and worried.
We are neighbors. When he's hungry, he comes to eat in my place. But as soon as he has money, he calls his girl to come over and stay with him for weeks and sometimes, month.
I was deeply hurt today when I entered his place and told him that I was hungry and had nothing on me to sustain myself. I got the shock of my life when he said, "I cook one small rice o.. but comfort(his girlfriend) dey come". In my mind I said, really? Hmmm. It's well. This is the second time he's doing this, the first was about food though.
Honestly I'm not entitled to anything cos I don't own his properties. He can decide to give to whom he wants. This is someone I share things with. He has never asked for anything from me and I deny giving him if I have. I even call him to come eat without him asking.
I want to ask the guys, would u do such to your closest friend? A friend that u both drink garri together when times are tough. It's sad. I am an introvert and I hardly share my pains with even the closest friend, but the day I say I'm lacking this and needs your Help, it means it's very serious.
Don't give yourself unnecessary headache, abeg

And who is paying someone 16k in today Nigeria? Some people are wicked oo
Go and learn how to paint house, from there you start staying in front of the shop of people selling paint, you will meet client that need painters, you will also meet your fellow painters that will attached you to some work, I did that when was in Onitsha that year, I always stand at ozomagala street ochanja round about, where dey sell paint and everyday I always see work.
It is just for start, and it is easy to learn, lastly you will make more than that 16k a month, and most importantly it will help you build a network and connect you with great people that may a destiny helper to you.
I knew there would be careless people like you who wouldn't read the post well before rushing to comment.

At age 40,80% of men should have been with less pressure economically.
Which when translated to what i just said here earlier, starting early is very much important such that 30 or 20 million saved over time would have help reduced or alleviate all the economic pressures
confronting almost every households today.
U might say it is very difficult to achieve this, then the question is,how much does one need to retire if that amount is too much for a 40 year old fellow.
Yes,I know everyone can't be lucky but many guys engage in frivolities when they are much more younger, hence the crisis confronting them at this present age and time in thier marriages
You initially said in their 20s, now you're changing it to 40.

It was worse in 2015/6 when Buhari came to power. Nigerians were moving to Benin Republic to hustle as the country's economy worsened. That period marked the first social media japa frenzy. People left Nigeria to work elsewhere because Buhari rubbished the economy. They were alive then, so no excuses.
Stop saying rubbish you're not sure of, please!
Do you live in Nigeria??
Were you there during that period, and experienced life there?
Nigerians were relatively comfortable till 2019/end of Buhari's 1st erm.
When i left Nigeria in late 2019, the exchange rate was 360, and no one was dying or screaming of hunger.
My salary of 500k then could feed a family of 10 comfortably, unlike now when it can't feed 2 people.
If you're not sure of something, just keep quiet and stop ing a useless Tinubu's government indirectly.

Na men dey like to suffer.
When u are in your 20's start early and awake ur investment mindset.
If u can do this early enough,at your 40's ur ive income should be enough to take care of your family expenses while u continue to grind with life.
I learnt this technique at an early age...not from my father but from someone whom I lived with years back.
Example is. If u have 30million,invest it for one year, use the proceed to settle all family expenses for one year, after that u can rest and be happy. Not all the time, waiting for salaries that isn't enough.
May his soul rest in peace and may this serve as a lesson for all our able young men especially our teenagers.
For those who may not find this feasible, this theory is working for me and u can always adjust it to suit ur figures especially if u think the figure is too high. na advice ooooooh.
Where does an average Nigerian see 30million??
Did you have 30m in your 20s?

This estimate is no longer applicable as price of materials have gone up.
Really? Between 27th December 2014 and now? There shouldn't be a reason for that as the exchange rate(which the sellers usually use as an excuse) has remained the same so far since December.
Maybe, it depends on the state

It sounds like you've had a fascinating encounter with someone who was trying to be friendly, but only because of your apparent success and possessions. The fact that she was awkward and struggling to find things to say, while also iring your 4Runner, suggests that she was more interested in your status than in genuinely getting to know you.
Your observation that people often treat you differently when they perceive you as successful is quite astute. It's unfortunate that some individuals will only show interest in you because of what they can gain from you, rather than valuing you as a person.
Your decision to be cautious and use people to your advantage is understandable, given your experiences. However, it's also important to that not everyone will treat you this way. There are still genuine people out there who will appreciate you for who you are, regardless of your possessions or status.
It's interesting that you mention learning to snub people and use them to your advantage. While this may be a necessary survival strategy in some cases, it's also important to maintain your integrity and treat others with respect, even if they don't always deserve it.
This ChatGPT. You guys should stop this over reliance on AI, even in little issues.
