I'm tired of all these religious sermons every Sundays and Fridays. Infact we have enough churches and mosques all over the place that will last us a lifetime.what I need to see in Christians,Muslims and religious goers is love and humanity. Enough of the sermons.we don hear,e don taya us sef.let us see Jesus in your actions not just what you say.talk is cheap, anybody can deliver a beautiful sermon. All it takes is to work on your dicton, read, speak eloquently, buy a neat 3 piece suit, microphone, and have a good hair cut alongside with nice shoes and give them the wow factor, lobatan.go to work places or homes you will see people putting church/mosque stickers in front of their door houses, cars offices etc yet na them go dey beat their wife, do 2 some for hotel, come dey carry bible disturb our peace. Who you dey deceive

The only time I will take religious people (Christians,Muslims and traditionalists ) seriously is when they stop all this eye service, double standards, coded runs, stealing by manipulation etc.the pulpit all over religious centres has been basterdized by liars and hypocrites.preaching 1 thing on Sunday amd doing another thing Monday to Saturday. If you are not even careful sef some pastors or alfas will send you to hell faster than devil at least thank God they've stopped the nonsense of God said I should tell you she is your wife or he is you husband.if you want to know how filthy these preachers ate just listen to aunty adunni or olowo eko,you will seek God yourself

My brother, let me tell you something straight - about moving to Lagos to make it, because I've been exactly where you are right now, full of that same fire and belief that Lagos equals success, but let me give you the raw truth from my own 5-year war with that city. I landed in Ojodu Berger in 2015 with big dreams but left in 2020 with nothing but regret after employers frustrated me with unpaid salaries, transport broke me with endless traffic and high costs, and even family disappointed me when that uncle who promised help charged me 80k for a closet under his staircase. The day I ran away to Delta State was when my life finally changed - my Igbo friend he’s name is mark moved to Asaba's Ogbogonogo Market to learn how to sell foodstuffs and as we speak has 3 boys he brought from the village to teach them the trade like he learnt it with a second shop while I found peace, cheaper living, and real opportunities that eventually brought me to America today. So before you go, ask yourself hard questions: do you have a solid plan beyond just "hustling", a real place to stay knowing landlords demand 2 years rent upfront, let me don’t scare you, your uncle might show you shege( I might be wrong but plan for the eventuality, cause anything can happen), can you handle extreme mental, financial and spiritual pressure? If not, explore options in the East first - learn a trade in Aba's markets like my friend mark did( that is if you have someone there to accommodate till you finish learning the trade, pick up skills in Onitsha/Asaba, or network in Port Harcourt's oil sector because Lagos is a brutal gamble where only 1 in 10 make it without turning to yahoo, thuggery or becoming some big man's errand boy. Think well my brother, Lagos doesn't give second chances and I'm telling you this not to scare you but because I don't want you learning the hard way like I did - the city works for some but consumes most, so be wise and know that sometimes success is closer to home than you think.

Note: This isn’t to hate on Lagos o! The city works for some people… but not for most. Be wise!
Hope he listens. Make e learn barbing and fashion design before if e must leave

Good morning people. I noticed that majority of s on this site live in Lagos.

Most of my childhood friends have traveled to Lagos.

That aside, I want to relocate to Lagos. I have an uncle that used to stay in orile (2018).

I can camp in his house for the main time.

If I come to Lagos, can I get a job that can pay me like 100k and above every month. I have my waec and neco. I just turned 25.

I feel if I change environment, things will begin to go well for me.. and I heard there are lots of jobs in Lagos.

Here in the east, no work or company. Only Keke bus business that's thriving

Please can I make it in Lagos? I need suggestions. This is a life changing decision please
Learn barbing and fashion design before u go. And be careful of Anambra people. Dem go lead u astray

They have the opportunity to make money when they open their legs if you were the one wouldn't you take the opportunity, same reason i applaud ladies like Sophia (sex for Lambo) and Saidaboj. but we men always try to shame and deceive them into following our wrong narrative. The environmental men enjoy in society has never been the same thing accorded to women. Society favors men to succeed from babies but has never favored women right from time. women in Africa were raised to always depend on men, but I am glad things are changing in recent times and I am happy you said they should make their own money, which means you want the narrative to change too. but know this when a woman makes money she no longer needs a man, it is only a man who tries to impress a woman when he has money. You keep the woman busy cooking and raising the kids alone, if you can do what a woman is doing, in this case, you will never have the time to make the money you are bragging about. For your information, I am married and I stopped my wife from accepting an Airhostess job in one of these big international airlines sometime ago because I work offshore, so if I am not around and my wife is not around who will look after the kids, now do you think I have right to tell that woman to go make her own money or what she brings to the table. men of this generation do not think and you all are destroying the society our forefathers built with their wisdom.
Plenty words. Zero Sense. Dem force u to have kids? No be una 2 get the pikin? Mumu. No give birth. Live by example. Don't have anything with men. Depend on ur fellow woman and see how ur life go spoil cus 95% of u all are bunch of liability. If they check now u be Yoruba woman. Average of u don't have any sense

Unlike you, I'm not from a lineage of riffraffs and lowlives that see N1 million as an incredulously huge amount of money. I repeat, if my sons wants to invest in themselves and their wives, God forbid it's going to be with N1 million.
And I repeat that Ur son can sell you to skull miners to impress his girlfriend. Not like you're useful for anything. At least I fit afford 1m for myself. No be like

She's right, the money is enough to start a business without renting a shop. I don't know about other states but in Lagos, neighbourhood shops now go between 8-10k per month. Shops in busy areas, bus-stops and market places go for much higher and most landlords ask for 2 years rent upfront. The spending won't be on rent alone, she'll need to furnish the shop with chair, table, counters, shelves etc and make it look attractive to customers. She's only telling you the reality of things but you're here poverty shaming her. You strike me as the toxic abusive husband who will treat your wife like you're doing her a favour by marrying her. How I wish she can open her eyes and see how better she'll be far away from you.
Make your brother marry am 🤣🤣😂😂😂

I've not been lucky in relationships. Now I'm trying to get married and it seems all the ladies I meet have a red flag.

I created a thread on my last relationship
https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/8324668/wedding-plans-suspended-advice

My uncle referred one to me and she's subtly billing already. Saying her phone hangs and she doesn't take calls only Whatsapp. I'll call and she won't pick up and she'll say hello on Whatsapp.

I have prayed and fasted.

I just need a 25-28 yo igbo lady preferably imo state that's very reasonable

Am I the problem or is it a general thing for Nigerian women?
Take it from a man in his 40s. If u never ready to adopt total stranger wey go make Ur life miserable and become entitled to your properties and cut Ur life short. No marry at all. Stop looking for problems for Ur life

I signed up for this site because of this question.
I am as short asf. I have been dating severally different nice ladies, and since I have money they all get into it.. After a month or so they bring up the fact on my shortness.
Do you know what I normally do? I normally show them the door without a second though, give transport and tell them it was nice being with them. Happened severally(not less than 7 times), I am a happy man since I accepted that. And every time after leaving one I ends up with someone better... It is a repeated chain and am just happy. I don't care where my life is heading though smiley
I would say that money is everything. If you are short and no money, you are fuc*ked up. Currently am asking when the current will part way since I spotted some other.
In a nutshell, show her the nearest door out of the house, you will send the cloths as parcel, don't be lied that she loves you.
The girl no like the guy. But she wants his money. No too spend on them. Just have them and leave them. Never fall in love. Coming from real OG

😳😳😳😳😳😳. There have been whispers about your lack of comprehension for some time, but I paid them no heed. Are you truly this way, how old are you by the way? You act and speak like a child, you know.

If Nigeria were overrun by invaders, its land seized by terrorists, and later the country celebrated retaking the territory initially seized, wouldn’t that be worthy of celebration?

The man you so casually label a “comedian” has accomplished more than you have or will ever achieve. It might behoove you to learn when to remain silent.

Direct your energies toward Africa’s affairs and amuse yourself there. This discourse is reserved for individuals who can think for themselves! 🤷🏼

Was that his first, second or third wife? He probably all along was told to checkmate the excesses of his wife and he did not care. The result showed up with the greed and wickedness of the woman and the children. Again, such heartlessness from the children requires a simple paternity check.

By the way, who knows if he ever was ing his children financially. We only saw the wickedness of the children. We did not hear their side of the story.

Whatever the story was, having given the greedy woman two shops and 3m, they planned to make the man suffer by taking away all he had. The video is of the sitting room, showed that the man is by no means a poor man.

Anyway, that’s a case of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and kidnapping. The four children, along with their mother and the evil abokis, have many years to serve in jail. When the sons are out of jail, what they have done to their father must happen to them.
Reasoning with Ur anus. Mumu

Hello nairalanders, pls I need matured mind on this.
I created this to post this.

My marriage has been stressful and draining.
I have really suffered if not for the help of my elderest brother, we would have died by now.
My husband has been in addiction since we got married 5yrs ago. that has never allowed him to take care of us. In 5yr we married, he has changed More than 5 jobs all wasted effort. We have two twine children. A boy and a girl. 4urs.
His addiction has been the reason I never want to have another child ever since then.

Right now my husband's uncle, a father figured to him has invited him to come home to the village, so they can advise him and my elderest brother has asked me to pack my things and the children, as soon as my husband left for the village, he will relocate us and my husband will not have access to us again.
And he said, if I declined, he will take his hand off my matter. He has been the one taking care of our rent, school fees and upkeep as my husband's money goes to addiction.

My fear now is, my children are so used to their father and I'm afraid if they can cop without their father. Especially my son.
Secondly, I'm so scared that I don't know how I'm going to handle more brokness in my life
My life is so scattered right now.
And lastly, I don't want my brother to take off his hands off me. He's the only person helping me out with my mistake.
Run away and free the man. E deserve peace
