chidiokay: You clearly don't know the Constitution. Even if the presidential candidate has no opponent, he has a certain percentage of vote he must get before pronouncing him the winner. Winning isn't about who has more votes or who won more states, it's about who won according to the Constitution How can one govern and leave in a place less than 25% voted for you? That is calamity. It shows you're not welcomed even before taking responsibility. This is why it's called an Area Council |

PROPHETmichael: Oga, Nigeria is made up of 36 States simple! The FCT was defined as the second component of the Constitution. It also went on to discuss the formulation. It was clear on it definition of Abuja as an Area Council which is headed by the president 3 Likes |

Throwback: Abuja in the Constitution isn't a state. FCT was defined in the Constitution. Please, get your facts right. Nigeria comprises of two components in the Constitution; 1. The states 2. The FCT. One must get 2/3 of the two components The Constitution defines the meaning of the states which are 36 while it went forward to define what FCT means. FCT is regarded as an Area Council headed by the President as the governor. So, if you must be the president of the council, 2/3 is the requirement So, the Constitution isn't wrong to always note state and FCT. They're different entities So, get 2/3 in 24 states and 2/3 of the Area Council which is FCT Or do you win a state as a governor without winning 25% of the state, if we so consider FCT as a compulsory state? This is the council that houses all the Federal bodies From the beginning in Section 2 (2) the Constitution distinguishes the states and FCT providing that “Nigeria shall be a Federation consisting of States and a Federal Capital Territory” Then, section 134, (b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. FCT is a special place. It has the unique look of Nigeria and was developed solely with tax payers funds. Which state is like Abuja? Which state is the President the governor? If not Abuja. This is defined word for word in the Constitution 5 Likes 1 Share |

opera1: The president by default is the governor of Abuja so to speak. You can't be the head of a place if 25% of the people there didn't vote for you. It's like staying in a home you're not wanted. In the Nigerian Constitution, Abuja is unified state and the Federal Character is employed in most appointments and things done there. It's a state that binds all Nigerians together, hence the 25%. Note that the Constitution didn't state, anyone with the highest vote or 50%, it also stated 25% which is reasonable. I really don't envy the judges in the tribunal God bless NIGERIA 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Paragon311: While we blame the judiciary, let the Lawmakers and the Constitution take the bigger blame The judges can or will only bend the rules, assuming they were bribed to the loopholes in the Constitution. The Lawmakers are smart, they'll purposely create a loophole in the Constitution, these loopholes becomes their escape route and the judges will settle for the loopholes and capitalize on it to give their judgements |

This is pure nonsense... I PO and his quest for a new Nigeria. With almost sincerity, fraud is a hugh crime and should be dealth with regardless of tribe, regions and political affiliation. Crime and fraud is what brought us here. Some of our leaders can't even defend their certificates If you do the crime, do the time! |

9jatriot: JAMB fuckup big time in this case... Where's the investigation results or paper? Was the ministry of education carried along? Where's the DSS report or is it only JAMB that should be part of the investigation? External bodies should be made to investigate this case. JAMB can't investigate a case they have interest This case is under intense investigation and before you knew it, JAMB have slammed the girl ban. I still don't get it. The girl in question have refused to accept she dotted the result. That is her stand... When investigation is over, you address this case systematically and not media and public shaming cos she's a child who has lot to offer. Her image whether you like it or not is already affected If JAMB did her duty well, this shouldn't even make headline in the first instance. If she's guilty beyond reasonable doubt, the necessary line of action should be carried out and the ministry of education should supervise it and not JAMB. JAMB is to make her recommendation to the ministry of education. Why the haste? |

BreconHills: In 2017, I own a tutorial center, were you aware some students results were being changed then? It's was a show of madness then. Did JAMB addressed the issue and what happened? If this was a serious country, heads will roll then. This can be a 2-way thing, JAMB can even be guilty here as much as Mmesoma. So, the best JAMB would've done is to investigate this, and if the girl denies, charge the matter to court for prosecution and not public shaming her. I can bet you, if JAMB is guilty, with this kind of tension and hype going on now, JAMB will do everything within her power to save face leaving the little girls image to be tarnished forever. It's a matter of if she's guilty, face the law. But now, she has been facing social bullying and trauma. In one platform, we were debating about politics on Sunday, the other team were already using her as example of how dubious a particular presidential candidate is. Can you imagine! Everyone deserves fair hearing... This is enshrined in our constitution. Before now, she has been taken to DSS and we didn't hear any story again. The matter should be charged to court. But before they even conclude investigation, JAMB has slammed her with punishment and ban. A case still under investigation... I'm not ing the girl, I'm only ing due process and Justice. A threat to justice somewhere is a threat to justice everywhere |

JAMB handled the situation poorly. You spoke about some persons coming to conclusion hastily, so, why are people saying she changed the result? Is that not a hasty conclusion too? Has any forensic or due scrutiny of what happened be done before coming out to say she dotted her result? In 2017, I had two different students whose JAMB scores were changed at different time. Each time they check their results from the portal, the score has changed too. Who changed the result, who is to be blamed? It's a pity we don't hold institutions able in this nation 1 Like 1 Share |

Those that have carried weapons to terrorise the govt in the past are now in govt or close to the govt or working for the govt. For those who can speak up did in the past and they looked like fools and even mocked by same people they spoke for... The level of economic ignorance or illiteracy in this country is alarming. The lack of education in Nigeria and majorly in the north is a major draw back. This is a calculated game by the elite to put us to check We'll keep pushing, talking and writing just as you've done. Channel your protest to writing. Go to your SM space, provoke the thought of an average Nigerian who can read or reason with your writings. If you're a singer, provoke the thoughts of Nigerians via singing and rhymes and if you're a poet like Uncle Dike, write poems, voice them for Nigerians and the world in general to hear. For the now, I'll advice we shun the street... The leaders will have now have no sympathy for souls anymore, so, wasting a life is like nothing to them. They almost denied the ENDSARS shooting. This is just of recent and a testament that Nigerians aren't cowardice, but there's need to sit down, challenge our protest channels and come out with a 21st well thought out plans moving forward 1 Like |

OJEEMAH: If that same player that scored 30 goals in 7 games happens to be the highest goal scorer in that league that season,, won't he be given the golden boot? What's exactly your point? It takes an extraordinary player to score 30 goals in 7 games. Use your head! |

OJEEMAH: And the top clubs you mentioned, CR7 has played in seizable numbers, broked and also set records there! Just deal with the facts he's good... He scored 14 goals in 19 games in the Saudi League. This feat isn't a surprise, he has done it severally even with Real Madrid. He was just in Utd of recent and was the Utd top scorer. Maybe you should also check the club he scored those goals against So, whether he scored the 14 goals in one match or several matches, those goals were scored within 19 matches. This is the short story of the legend in Saudi. Period! Celebrate a hard-working person anywhere you find one, it takes nothing! 1 Like |

OJEEMAH: You have a problem, certainly not with my post. Point out where I stated he scored the 14 goals in every match? There's no small club in any top-flight as a club. How's Southampton or Bournemouth a small club? What were the parameters to rate a big and small club in the EPL or any other place in the world? The Saudi club played in the semi-final of the World Club cup... Do you know what that means? Man City wasn't even part of the top-flight club some years ago and today, you include their names. Leicester took the world by surprise by winning the league coming from Relegation... So, what's your definition of 'big team' again when it comes to top-flight football of a Nation? CR7 simply took his chances as they come... Please, come to me with logic and facts not with speculations and ignorance |

OJEEMAH: I talk logically... So, you mean there's small club in the Saudi League playing in the top division? Please, what's your definition of small club? The stats are there in all leagues CR7 played... He had most in the competitive EPL and Laliga |

OJEEMAH: You're actually blinded by hatred... I said he scored 14 goals out of 19 matches in the Saudi League... What's now the analysis for? Or did he not score those goals? Can you pin point where I said he scored in all the matches he played? 1 Like |
