When we engage in political discussions, I tend not to say much considering the fact that most of us are just talking from what we think and not what's happening( which half of the time we no nothing about). Example is the Portharcout refinery, The RICE pyramid by Buhari, Nigerian airways Some of us said they were all "Fugazi" but some people argue to high heavens that it's a lie. If I say what I know , it won't make any difference to you because it just what I will say.

Apologies if it seems like I am asking you to do a research yourself.

We are not talking about the Port Harcourt refinery or rice pyramid or Nigerian airways. We are also not arguing. You made very bold claims that student loans were being embezzled and that subsidy was still being paid. I only questioned you to back up what you claimed.

There is no need for gaslighting or switching to ad hominem. You could just say you were speculating and that would be fine as it would demonstrate integrity. I think you itted this when you said as follows:

I tend not to say much considering the fact that most of us are just talking from what we think and not what's happening( which half of the time we no nothing about)

It is fine that you itted that you didn't know what you were saying but was talking from what you were thinking.

In future, refrain from making bold claims you can't back up. See Natasha. She could not back anything she said and turned into a village gossip. Do not be like Natasha.

The loans are being disbursed, how many students have gotten it?

It has been debated severally that the government still pays a partial subsidy.

Terrorists have always been sent to afterlife daily before BAT . It's being years now and one will think we would have found a lasting solution to this issue.

You said the student loan was being embezzled. I asked you by whom. You also said subsidy payment is right before our eyes. I asked you to show me because I can't see it. Let me ask the questions again:
Who is embezzling the student loan?

Can you explain who is collecting subsidy, and how it is paid? I really want to know.

As for insecurity, also balance your views about terrorists sent to the afterlife daily.

You can say you don't know and you just said it because it is a popular view. That would be integrity.

Subsidy isn't gone brother. It's there right before our eyes.

Insecurity is being tackled? I doubt that , it is same Benue heardmen's killings we have been hearing since. Same Jos and Plateau killings .
Some police extra judiciary killings and mal treatments.

Who is embezzling the student loan?

While some people's legacy is a brewery and how he used to buy fuel in government vehicles by himself and how he had one shoe and one wristwatch for seventeen years, Tinubu shows workings:

1. The coastal highway is active. 30 km is done.

2. Tinubu started the student loans to reduce the burden on indigent parents.

3. The fraudulent oil subsidy was canceled. This allowed increased allocations to states. States are now solvent.

4. Tinubu accomplished local government autonomy.

5. We have not heard much complaints from ASUU. Judicial workers are also happy. Well, they were on strike earlier this week, which was called off immediately.

6. The salaries of judges were increased.

7. There are now development commissions for the geopolitical zones.

8. Southern Kaduna has felt federal interventions in of a hospital and tertiary institutions.

9. Insecurity is being tackled.

10. Nigeria is united.

11. Peter Obi, lost the elections.

Thanks to Tinubu, Nigeria now has, for the first time in history, an association of bitter senior political refugees desperately searching for relevance and power.

Let us those who fought against the coastal road project:

https://nairaland.macsoftware.info/8077917/peter-obi-vehemently-condemns-lagos-calabar

Below is reproduced those who condemned the project:

emkz:
Brilliant.

The young mathematician made some fundamental assumptions. That the 15km/year would persist over the next 50 years, and that road construction would not be activated simultaneously over 48 areas which can reduce the construction to one year. The question would be if the company has the capacity.

The assumption is also that geological conditions would be the same over other areas apart from Lagos. I am only pointing out the flaws in the premises of the calculation.

I like Tinubu for one thing. He is ruthlessly ambitious. When FG was pumping funds in reclaiming coastal lands in Victoria Island that erosion swept away, Tinubu embarked on a project to prevent coastal flooding. Tinubu also started Eko Atlantic City where the US plans to build a structure for their embassy. Lekki Free Trade Zone was Tinubu's idea. That is where Dangote built his refinery. When Tinubu started LAMATA in 2002, it took another 7 years for the results to be seen and more than 20 years for Lagos to have a light rail. If the road construction would take 50 years, imagine the impact of 50% completion in 25 years. If Obasanjo had started it in 1999, more than 50% would have been completed by now using the mathematician's stabdard.

We thank those who criticize constructively to put government on her toes but it is not possible to finish a project of this magnitude at a rate of 6 months. There'd be more challenges because people will complain about ancestral lands and environmental impact assessment by Arise News.

In closing, let us remind ourselves of those who opposed the coastal road:

1. Atiku Abubakar
2. Comrade Peter Obi
3. Arise News
4. Rufai Oseni
5. Obidient Group
6. One dude who owned Landmark and allocated public land to himself and lied to have lost hundreds of millions of dollars investment due to the swimming pool demolished. He had claimed within a 250 m from the coast which belonged to the public held by the government.

While others have kept quiet seeing the folly in their opposition, Rufai Oseni is still spreading hatred against the road.

Whoever doesn't like the road can do well not to use it.

Nigeria is rising.

Have faith and ignore the prophets of anarchy.

Let us also give honourable mention to one dude who sewed several twitter threads to condemn the project.

emkz:

If anyone from the Niger-Delta comes across the thread, please that some of you voted for Peter Obi. Peter Obi has demonstrated he is against the progress of the Niger Delta communities. The bulk of the funds for running our economy comes from the Niger Delta. But he says a big project to criss-cross the Niger Delta is a misplaced priority.

Note that the US spent their way out of recession through the New Deal which focused on massive infrastructural development across board, including roads. There is no nation interested in progress that is currently not engaged in one form of infrastructural development or the other. But the one which is 60 years old overdue in Nigeria, Peter Obi is fighting it, simply because he lost election.

If he didn't build anything meaningful in Anambra, I think it is disingenuous to fight against something being built through the Niger Delta. Thanks to Tinubu's ingenuity, Lagos is undergoing massive infrastructural development and embarking on an audacious railway project which the likes of Rufai Oseni would condemn.

Peter Obi doesn't want the progress for the Niger Delta. He just wants to get the votes and use anti-developmental and archaic ideas to ruin this country completely.

Only vote for those who want progress to be in your land. With this tweet, Peter Obi has shown he is not interested in that.

As for the Landmark CEO who has been all over the place making noise, can he show us documents where the shorelines and beaches in his location were ceded to him? If he violated the right of way, it is evil for him to complain. The best thing to do was to meet and find ways to relocate his business or shift to an area where the coastal highway won't . When I travelled through Accra-Cape Coast highway, part of which was adjacent to the ocean, it was a beautiful sight with the blue waters! Guess what? Beaches still functioned!!

Just to add, a road network is also a delight for businesses. Food can easily be transported from rural areas to urban centers and those in rural communities would make good money.

But Peter Obi does not want this.

The greatest threat to Peter Obi are his Obident followers.

They threatened judges, insulted Fela, insulted Seun Kuti, threatened Reno Omokri's daughter, insulted Wole Soyinka, and insulted everyone who dared held opposing views.

They have run out of those to insult and are now insulting themselves, leading to some of them pulling out of the Obident movement.

Obident has dented Obi's image. He cannot even set them straight because he is at their mercy.

The Obidents uplifted Obi's ambition and helped him fizzle it out like gas because of their intolerance and political indiscipline.

It is only in Nigeria people file a petition based on emotions. You'd see an unserious politician argue that he won.

Someone had claimed to have won and would prove it. The judges questioned him if he required them to shop for evidence for their case or if they expected social media threats to influence their ruling. They were asked by what margins did they win. They could not even do a simple Microsoft Excel compilation to demonstrate the states where they won. Everything was based on emotional voodoo. anchored on MMM and CEBEX scheme.

Petitioners, why can't you ask for ballots and carry out forensics and recount? Ballot papers are serialized and forms EC8A carry information on ballot papers used. If ballot papers have the same fingerprint, any court would invalidate them. If more ballot papers are used than is in the or was given, the results would be invalidated. Your party agents ought to have copies of results from all polling units which must match what INEC declares. Failure to do your homework should not be blamed on INEC.

Election fraud can easily be proved, but those filing petitions refuse to do the work and want to win through the backdoor.

One thing is clear.

Natasha is a talkative.

Natasha also lacks self control and emotional regulation expected of an adult.

What does the Bible say about those who talk too much?

Natasha has talked so much that her ears have turned to her enemy. She was talking about making a story out of "Akpabio blackmailing Tinubu over Natasha". This is a pointer to more sinister issues with Natasha.

Her gullible Nairaland disciples have gone mute probably because they were not rewarded over their work or because they have seen that their for her did not sway public opinions. I blocked 5 of them because their submissions were similar, long-winded and unintelligent as though they had been given a common script to regurgitate to the public, or it was one person with multiple names.

Natasha is a political infant. She ruined her political career before it took proper root.

1. Be careful what you say even in "private" conversations. However, I do not think Natasha should be charged for the statement she made about organ harvesting and accusing Akpabio of murder. I am not aware that gossip is a criminal offence. Plus, she did not say that in public. Let her vehemently deny it and say she was not aware. Her lawyers must do everything to suppress that evidence from being itted or argue that she said it in private and Sandra Duru released it out of malice. For an adult, Natasha was not so wise in trusting a person she had never met. She probably saw a "friend", while the "friend" saw a business opportunity.

2. When you make accusations, do not start media trial. The same media where the circus began was used against the acc.

3. Trust and use appropriate channels to air grievances.

4. Master the art of self-control and do not react impulsively. Natasha's behaviour that led to all these was her impulsivity. Once she saw that she had no case, she resorted to an emotional roller-coaster. Unfortunately, she is now to supply evidence for everything she said in public. That is what we expect.

5. Nairaland praise-singers are limited in shaping public opinion, especially court cases. Natasha has made claims. Through the courts, facts would be established.

6. We hope a speedy trial and resolution of this matter.

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, suspended Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, will appear in Court tomorrow, Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025.

Her appearance was confirmed by her lead counsel, West Idahosa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.

Idahosa, however, expressed uncertainty about whether the Federal Government planned to arraign her on Tuesday or not, stressing that whatever the plans of the Federal Government, Akpoti-Uduaghan remains a law-abiding citizen.

He said she would comply with the Court's directives.

The Federal Government through the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mohammed Abubakar, filed criminal charges against her on the allegation that she made defamatory statements during a live television broadcast against the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

According to the charge filed on May 16, 2025, at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, and marked CR/297/25, Akpoti-Uduaghan is accused of making a statement during an appearance on Politics Today on Channels TV on April 3, 2025, where she alleged that Akpabio and Bello discussed plans to assassinate her.

"It was part of the meeting, the discussions that Akpabio had with Yahaya Bello that night— to eliminate me… he then emphasised that I should be killed in Kogi," the charge quotes her as saying.

The FG also accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of making defamatory remarks in a telephone conversation on March 27, 2025.

In the conversation with a woman named Dr Sandra Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly claimed that Akpabio was linked to organ harvesting involving the late Inibong Umoren, purportedly for the benefit of his ailing wife.

Akpabio, Bello, and four others have been listed as key witnesses in the trial.

Her Counsel, Idahosa, however, reiterated the readiness of the legal team to defend Akpoti-Uduaghan in Court.

"If the case is called tomorrow, we will respond accordingly with our client.

"The issue of protest is irrelevant to us — we are lawyers, and our focus is on defending charges we believe can be contested. Protests are the domain of civil societies and others in that terrain," Idahosa said.

He further stated, "Our client is a law-abiding citizen. Why wouldn’t she be there? It's a summons we have undertaken. Only disrespectful institutions that disregard court orders would fail to appear, and she is not in that category."

When asked about the possibility of arraignment, Idahosa noted, "We don’t know. We saw a notice of amended charges. We don't know what they are trying to do. They’ve amended the charges once and could do so again—it's their decision."

Natasha did a poor job in denying everything Professor Mgbeke accused her of. She even claimed to have met the president in the past, a claim she said made Akpabio envious.

If she was not troublesome, she could have informed the president earlier or the first lady of her issues and things could have been de-escalated. But she chose to undermine the president by bying protocol and going to the IPU-UN to peddle her claims.

What has come out of her outing?

She also undermined the entire country by saying women were repressed in politics. She further went to BBC, Sky News and DW to even claim the Nigerian Senate is like a cult.

She made statements that her assassination was planned. It is only fair that she backs up her claims instead of spewing. She had said she had informed some editors that her assassination was planned and they requested written proof before running her claim. Even Rufai Oseni did not openly talk about it. Any sensible journalist who ran that story would be liable to defamation claims. But why didn't Natasha issue a statement, signed by herself, claiming assassination and sent to editors? She unwittingly said it in a public gathering which is equally bad.

On Thursday 5th of June would be three months since she was suspended. Has she learnt her lessons? I doubt it.

As for her 5 Nairaland disciples who attacked me for calling her to supply evidence, how market? She is still on suspension. Your media whitewashing backfired. She is now forced to defend herself and sadly, she cannot determine the arena for redress. Certainly not the media as the sympathy she enjoyed initially evaporated due to her recalcitrant and petulant conduct.

Finally, if she knows she has no proof, she can apologize and move on. The circus is over. The derriere of the fowl has been exposed.

Some have berated Reno for lying.

During Natasha's interview where she appeared subsided, she said she never accused Reno of sexual harassment. She never said what she accused him of. She also said she never paid and her husband never paid Reno hush money.

She also said she never spoke to Sandra Duru but spoke to Professor Mbeke as she presented herself. This contrast with the earliest position she held that she did not know Sandra Duru and/or Professor Mgbeke and never spoke with her. She also said she'd release evidence at the appropriate time.

When is that?

Watching the interview with Adeola, I saw elements of confusion, gaslighting and forced humility. I felt for her. My sincere advice to her is to accept that her project failed. June 5 would make it three full months of her suspension. Her disciples on Nairaland who write long meaningless posts to defend her, how market?

They better start returning back home to live a life of

Unemployment
Insecurity

Sub standard health care/facilities
Endemic corruption.
The list is endless, living in Nigeria is akin to hellfire

Economic problems exist everywhere. There are more homeless people in the advanced countries than in Nigeria. You said insecurity. Try and read news from other countries. You'd be shocked at gun killings, stabbings and people using their cars to deliberately hit others.

Drug problems? Do you want us to talk about how it has ravaged many abroad?

I don't agree that the educational system is dilapidated. Were you not present when UK came to poach Nigerian doctors? Nigerian engineers are working and earning well in IOCs. It is people who are not ready to learn who complain of Dilapidated educational system.

And for your earnings, you must pay income tax. You must declare the taxes. If you have hospital issue, you might wait for months to get an appointment.

Please what do we expect Amaechi to say?

With Tinubu teaming up with Wike, Amaechi's staunch enemy, Amaechi became disgruntled. Tinubu studied those with political relevance and realized Wike had consistently delivered for PDP since 2007. Many may not know that Wike fought for Amaechi to get the seat in 2007 while Amaechi was in Ghana.

It is understandable that Wike has overshadowed Amaechi in this dispensation.

With Tinubu winning in 2023, the Abuja boys were changed. Those who lost out are gathering to complain. They cannot effectively plot for 2027. That is why you hear strange phrases like "urban bandits", "APC is darkness", "weaponization of poverty", "we don't care about you". Amaechi even confessed he'd carry out some of President Tinubu's reforms. That is how confused he is.

The lion of Ubima has been reduced to the squealing squirrel of the coalition coven of 2023 displaced political refugees.

The coalition may look towards 2031 and build it around a robust plan for national development. It also needs to be built around a crop of new faces.

El Rufai had his chance in 2007, but Obasanjo preferred Yar'adua. Atiku had his chances in 2003 and 2023, but he mismanaged both by himself. Babachir Lawal had his chance to build his reputation when he became Buhari's SGF, but he had other plans.

Look at the guys in APC. Tinubu understands how to step away from the scene and allow new faces turn up. Like Fashola. Now there is Gbajabiamila, Muri Okunola, and a few others. He even pushed Osinbajo.

Atiku and co, for the coalition to work, drop your ambitions. Find a strong, sellable candidate and back him. He may not win, but you'd have made a strong statement towards 2031 and compete then.

As for 2027, you are unserious in fighting for victory.

In 2014, the newly formed APC ed the person with the strongest clout to unseat the PDP. Let the coalition ask themselves which of them can defeat APC and where does national sentiment bend?

Atiku, some education might help here.

The media misreported the news. A correction was issued.

A medium term expenditure plan (MTEP) is a timetable/framework/guideline of governments' expenditure intentions. It IS not a borrowing plan. It is like balancing budget realities with projected income from various sources over some time.

It is simply a tool for expenditure planning.

I think it would be proper for Atiku to ask to see the letter sent by the president to the senate, and ask for clarifications instead of rushing to the press to exhibit his misunderstanding.

Question for Atiku: which banks do Tinubu seek to obtain the imaginary loans from?
