For those with reissued AD should go with their previous cancelled AD, if possible the cancellation email that asked you to refrain from re-applying, because the current reissued AD has no reference number , no port number and no category on it.

The person conducting the interview is not the one that reissued the dates and you need to explain to them about your new date. because currently they only attend to those on scholarships and reunion, according to what the VO told my sister yesterday. So she had to explain with the previous cancelled AD.

On the form on the Embassy's website, will the reference number for the earlier booking suffices for the visa application number as requested on the form ?

I appealed my VISA which was rejected saying I didn't have ission. That I only had ission for language. I have applied and gotten ission in another school.

I wrote the consulate telling them that I am withdrawing my appeal because of an issue in the family and I have ission with a confirmation of necessity to be present in for the purpose of studies. That I need a new date for interview.

The Visa Section replied and told me to send a signed letter of withdrawal not later than 10th September 2020.

I think they gave me deadline because I told them that I have new ission

This shows they are obviously working. Making selective replies to mails and requests while deliberately ignoring student visa issues.

Don't mislead people. I have deferred ission twice for someone and the school is even ready to defer it for the third time if there's no interview date.

Always say what you know and don't generalise with your experience.

It depends... There's unlimited (for as long as you're a student), 4, 3, 2 and even yearly one.

A friend has the yearly one since last year August. Almost 1m has gone down the drain due to this Corona. He was supposed to go for his interview by the end of March. The SL is expiring by the end of this month. And the writer is requesting for another 1m to issue another.

It's a bad time to use SL for the German waka.

My own take is that if u guys like o, relax... just know that its becoming a hopeless situation, the thing here is we are never together, Indians came out and cried out their country opened their airspace today but if it's Nigeria, people will come and be writing long epistles, and saying rubbish, If we are to call the federal government on Twitter now, people will still condemn it, Nigerian students went on twitter to call out the government on school reopening, guess what, our government has began to act, we are too scared to make d changes we seek, up on till now we have zero knowledge of when international flights will resume, since march 21 oo, oya na make we all dey here suffer am.

My take on this after listening to a programme on Channels TV yesterday evening. I can confirm to you all that the main reason for the closure of the airspace is because most of the Nigerian "doctors" are planning to leave the country. what happened recently when some doctors were trying to leave for the UK at the slightest chance they had. No country can afford to have shortage of medical personnel and yet we treat ours like trash. Unfortunately, as students, we are caught in their web. Most of our politicians have dual citizenship and access to private jet, leaving country if need be is not totally a problem for them as they really don't need a visa.

I think it's time we start calling the Minister out. Stating how much we've invested in this struggle and seeing our colleagues from other countries having a itch-free process while ours is conditioned on the reopening of the international airspace which they are politicizing. Like someone suggested, I think we really need to storm the minister's and his ministry's pages. This time around, we don't need no "doubting Thomases" to hold us back abeg.

Regarding availability of flight, obviously is taking in student, and some other European student as well. So I don't think getting some airlines to open in Nigeria is going to be a problem, afterall some are flying from Cotonou in the past few weeks.

Monday has ed, still nothing. The future with AD looks blurry now. A friend called the embassy this morning and was told, I quote " They said they are not opened for student visa application for now". She went further to tell the person she spoke with that she has funded her since her interview was to be be conducted just 2 days before the lockdown. The reply she got was demoralising. She was told that was her decision.

I know some would argue that visa is a privilege and not a right... But making provisions and good responses to enquires like this is very important. Imagine if the applicant funded through a loan and the interest is accumulating or an SL which is nearing expiration already.

One peculiar thing I forgot to share in my experience last time was the very fact that

ONLY LIKE 8-10 people came for interview on my own day!

Do you know how many applications they receive daily and are processing only 10?

Be aware too that the 10 is a mixture of students, reunion, tourist and work visa people oo. Implyin that we may be only 5 students.
