More suppliers will never come until the full deregulation of the Sector which the removal of subsidy aims at taking care of.So NLC should embrace the removal ASAP

It appears the only solution to this issue of fuel subsidy removal is increase in wages.

But when wages are increased, prices of commodities will respond in the usual language which in effect dampens the increase in wages.

NLC will then start negotiating for another salary increase and if govt obliged again, the cycle is repeated.

We expect govt officials to be resourceful rather than simply following popular demands for wage increase as that will in effect portray them as just empty opportunists struggling to just control the resources.

Get experts in relevant fields to address this issue, I don't subscribe to increase in wages.

Nice angle to look at it from but in a case where the inflation is already high in a way that the wages aren't enough to meet up, then political economic sense has to come into play.. Even then, outside the situation we are in now, inflation naturally occurs when people have more money than the available goods & services, but even with the proposed increment for civil servants, will the monies in the hand of people be excessive?

Okay, for example I reside in Ota Ogun state,a age to Idiroko a border town with Benin Republic,I know of quite a number of filling stations where they sell PMS in to 25 Liters Gallons,many of them to Nigerians who take them to the neighbouring Countries to sell..recall subsidized fuel is supposed to be for Nigerians? These people smuggle them out through the Borders & of course Nigerians in Customs Service(Like most Nigerians) are corrupt to let it for a cut infact some of them are into the business directly. Since corruption is in the DNA of most Nigerians,the only other way to fight it is to block the platforms for corruption & this is what the removal of subsidy is expected to do from that issue.

Leadership sometimes is not all about provision Bread & Tea... Sometimes you must have the courage to sometimes serve something bitter but yet benefitial.
