It will surely affect, but to me it's a right time for farmers to make some cool cash because most are not ready to visit market,if you can do some home delivery. Ugu , pepper and so many other veggies and fruits will be in high demand. Corona virus is real so protect yourself and family. God will protect us all.
. A big Amen to your prayers.
That's a great idea but I also hope people will order for those food products cos they need to trust the source.

abbeyforex: POULTRY SUCCESS TIPS
There are some things you should know before starting a poultry
A---BUSINESS PLAN
A business plan is a written description of your business's future. In its simplest form, a business plan is a guide—a roap for your business that outlines goals and details how you plan to achieve those goals.
Your business plan should cover both the expected and the unexpected. The type of birds you intend rearing and where to get them , their feeds, purpose of farming, marketing and the likes should be included here as well.
Note: You should map out every strategic move that concerns the business from start to finish in the business plan
You should bear in mind that it is not possible for you to be in all area of poultry farming even if you think you can. What is expected of you as a starter is to choose an area of interest and channel your energy towards the success of the chosen area. However, it is not as if it is impossible to do two at a particular time, but as a starter, it is advisable to focus on one.
Start from the basic. Here are some area you can focus on
BROILERS :- These are raised purposely for meat, they grow rapidly and it takes about 8 weeks and above to sell them
COCKERELS:- These are also raised for meat production but takes more weeks to reach maturity unlike broilers. Cockerels reach market size between 9 - 10 months when properly fed
LAYERS:- meant for egg production i.e. commercial layers
BREEDERS:- This deals with breeding chicken for the purpose of hatching new chicks
FEED PRODUCTION:- which is producing feeds for other poultry farmers
B---LOCATION
Unlike most businesses where the location of business plays a very vital role with regards to easy accessibility, it is not the case with poultry business. You can have your poultry located in a rural environment if you want, or a location far away from town as it will cost you less.
NOTE :-Do not forget that the location you decide to work with should be in a secure environment to avoid theft and unwanted encroachment. Conducive for birds and a fenced compound with a gate is usually preferable (against animal and human attack).
After securing the location, your poultry pen structure should come next. It is okay to consider a low cost poultry house since it’s a small scale poultry business.
As a starter, it is important to note that poultry housing is classified according to the scale and the management system.
C---FEEDING
When it comes to poultry business, feeding of the birds is as important as the most important thing in any business.
Always ensure your birds are well fed, because their growth, productivity (egg production), as well as their health greatly depends on how well you feed them.
Your customer will tell if they are well nurtured or not. We all know how our buyer tends to lift birds, weigh and do different stuffs to know if they are well fed or not.
We will be back to feeding during the course of the training.
D---EQUIPMENT
I'm sure we are quite familiar with some poultry equipment and appliances if not all. These are, but not limited to:
Feeder
Wheelbarrow
Thermometer
Drinker
Farm coat
Farm boot
Brooding lamp
Shovel
Washing hand basin e.t.c.
Please continue
