Scanned my car today again, my long term fuel trim is -1.594%. I don't think this is the problem, as it is still within recommended limits. My short term fuel trim ranges from 1.something to 5.something, which is also still normal. Checking fuel pressure at the rail is my next step. 1 Like |

bacco2000: If you're in Ibadan and not too far from Orita axis, I can scan for you and check the live data, yours might have more info as to what might be the problem. |

temizeee: oh, thank you. I will check the fuel trims, must have skipped my mind to check them. The high fuel pressure, do you have any idea of how to check that? As for a leaking fuel injector, the pulse width of my injectors at idle is usually 2.4,2.5, which is within spec. Can an injector still be leaking with such a good pulse width? |

Hello house. My 2003 Matrix has P0450 and P0451 codes. I scanned after I noticed that my fuel consumption is 12-13 MPG, when it should be around 21-22MGP. I've checked live data for my car, oxygen sensors are fine, ignition timing is within spec, MAF is fine, basically all the sensors surrounding fuel consumption are fine. My fans are factory setting and my thermostat is present. I don't know what else to check, as I'm not sure these two codes can be responsible for such a difference in MPG. Please any help will be appreciated. |

Gabrokpara001: Nope. But just go online and search it. It's on the left hand side of the engine, with a two pin connector. |

Gabrokpara001: Nah, sold the car. But the fix is the intake camshaft solenoid. To test if you got a working one, DO NOT TEST on the ground. Don't let anyone connect it to battery and then tell you it's working. Instead, take your car there and remove the electrical socket on the one in your car and connect it to the replacement part. Have someone start the car and raise the rpm STEADILY to 2,500 rpms and 3,000 rpms. If the cylinder in it moves and stops with the throttle raising, you're good. If not, et another part and repeat the test. |

Lol. It's not your inefficient and wasteful government keeping Nigeria backwards. It's not your "big-men" with zero days of honest work keeping Nigeria backwards. It's religion. Default setting for people who refuse to think for themselves. whytediamond: |

Goodvibes007: Wow. I know Nigerians are largely a set of callous people, but this is low, even for Nigerians. Nigerian police do not use cannon or rubber bullets? You're proud of your own country's police force killing your own country men? How does that solve the country's problem? And the people who liked and shared this wickedness, all of you will get your own fair share. None will escape it. Arrant nonsense. 7 Likes |
