Sorry about the delay. In your next interview, try to be upfront about the reason for the denial. Be sincere, acknowledge it, including giving a compelling reason why it happened. Just my thought

Not for incoming international students. The guideline was upturned for students already in the U.S

What I read was that there is no directive yet from ICE regarding spring semester. So incoming international students should work with the guideline for fall 2020 which states that 100% of courses can not be online. That is, take at least one in-person/hybrid class - 3 credit hours of in-person class should be okay according to the guideline

Have you been able to use this to book appointment? I ask because you will need the reference number. You can to your internet banking to generate a receipt. Internet banking not the gtbank app

Over 3000 schools in U.S bro. I'm of the opinion that we should be thinking about Visa already while we are applying to schools. ission is relatively easy to get, you will always find a school, especially if scholarship isn't a factor. The problem is the Visa. You should have done more to convince them, including providing a proof that you were taught in English. Also, people used duolingo test which was taken online from the comfort of their homes. Many options, including applying to schools that waive English for Nigerians. Anyway, since you already have the ission and plan to apply for Visa with it, prepare well. I pray you find favour

A Nigerian that wants to do a whole one-year English pathway program doesn't really sound well. Better to find a school that doesn't come with such condition or write TOEFL.

1. I have made several attempts to correct you calmly but you decided not to take corrections 2. The whole Visa process has a set of rules. Don't encourage people to make decisions based on assumptions that negate the rules. 3. Try to calm down and get a deep understanding yourself. I encourage you to read the rules, or you can read other people's anecdotes that are confirmed and doesn't seem like lies or flukes. It is even unwise to make life decisions based on flukes. Someone might even claim they slipped at the embassy after rejection and because of that they were approved. 5. Nobody is really anybody's mate. Not in the real world and specifically not on a faceless forum. For example, you might tell me you have travelled to five countries and I can say I have eight wives. It is a matter of perspectives. Everything ridiculous seems to have happened around you before. The other day you said someone was refused Visa, got into a fight with a security official and was then given the Visa. You said this because another troll made a ridiculous claim. Why don't you just calm down and focus on getting undergraduate scholarships.

I'm simply telling you to be mindful of the advice you give here. If it isn't fact like "how much reciprocity fee is", then be cautious. The alternative is not to answer at all.

@Chonco, you know you don't exactly have to answer all questions. You can just ignore if you are not sure. How much is reciprocity fee? Easy and objective Some other questions are not that straightforward and one needs to be tact about it. This your advice is not it, don't be the cause of someone's misfortune Chonco: 2 Likes |

Since it is like a Plan B, you can try University of Alabama. Earlier this year, one of their Professors tweeted about looking for grad students

You are a smart guy so please be smart with this issue. A lot of schools offer Chemical Engineering, check like 20 of them particularly the prerequisites. If you don't meet up with the prerequisites, it should tell you that you might not qualify in most schools. If you end up applying, you might be denied or asked to take those prerequisites at your own expense. Fabuloski: 1 Like |

That is strange that you did not find that step. It is a step everyone finds, even first time applicants

IMO the DS-160 confirmation seem to be the only coloured you need. The official that does the 1st screening asks for a printed port photo when she feels that the picture on the DS-160 is not clear enough

The way I see it, your US SOA must have come from savings from your funding. Your funding is meant to you and you alone ideally. Using that SOA has an undertone that both of you want to be living on stipends from your funding. It is just the way I see it. My suggestion: 1. I think you mentioned that the deficit is 5k. Is your wife employed? Why not build her own . So when asked, she can say she has saving of $**** and then her mother-in-law is also going to her. 2. If you can renew your Visa this year in maybe Mexico, do it. 3. Let her work on the reply to the first question. "I want to my husband" seem ambiguous. It might mean "I want to be working to him". Why not "I am going to bla bla bla to be with my husband " However, these things are subjective sometimes; V.O dependent, so we can never know I'm sure others might have their comments Abone2: 3 Likes |

I think you should share her transcript so people can comment on what might have gone wrong. Also, I don't think you should use your US .

I don't know if you are joking but even the Secretary of States does not have the rights to reverse a Visa officer's decision. If you really believe that then the jokes is on you

Sorry about the delay. If your mind is willing, I think you should still shoot for spring if possible. The whole thing can be subjective really. There's a particular V.O that seemed to be harsh. His station is at the middle. It was my turn and I was praying that I will not have to go to him. The other V.O at the extreme end by the left looked friendly. I haven't seen him interview anyone but I saw the way he was relating with a Nigerian staff. When he beckoned to me to come, deep inside me, I knew I have gotten it.

Sorry about your denial I think you should try to work on why the school and why the course Also, if you really applied to Pennsylvania and U of F, you should probably be silent about it. Pennsylvania is a top school. Did you really apply? Did you get in? Because it raises the question of why you the chooses UNCG UNCG: 2 Likes |

Visa Approved V.O: Why did you choose the school Me: The school has ongoing research that aligns with mine and with four different Professor with similar interest, all with very active labs, all collaborating constantly in research including clinical trials V.O: how will you pay for the degree Me: I have a graduate research assistantship that covers my full tuition and pays monthly stipends Then he started picking the pink slip and white paper and saying the golden words at the same time. The V.O that interviewed me seems to be the most friendly and people seemed to spend less time with him Nevertheless, each person's case is unique and the whole process is somewhat subjective too. Complicated sponsorship seem to be a huge factor that might lead to a lot of questions and denial from what I noticed Thank you NL 16 Likes 2 Shares |

The date actually showed as a result of someone that cancelled their appointment. More appointments between November and early January will still be cancelled, limited ofcourse, so it just depends on who gets lucky

I guess they are not consistent with addressing the issue. Also, some people already have a later appointment on the appointment booking platform which makes it difficult to follow the rule stated in the email
