Ofunaofu: Don't mind that guy. A comedian won the presidential election in Ukraine contesting against seasoned politicians and that was his first ever shot at politics. A young man barely in his mid thirties contested and won the presidential election in , a great country in the the west. I have come to realize that these paid urchins are as wicked as their master, if not even worse. They aren't exactly brainless as we think. How can someone say that election is won based on popularity not competency and fairness. Even though he might be right, then thier wicked leaders made it so by weaponising poverty against the masses so that when election time comes, these "popular" candidates entice the already improvished masses with crumbs. We all know that the "most popular" candidate in APC primaries bought the delegates. He also bought the inec chairman. Very wicked people. 1 Like |

Creamcrest: Going by your logic boss, It would be foolish for anyone including you to vote Tinubu in 2027. Agreed obaseki didn't do anything in eight years but life was still better for Edo people. But from the look of things, it seems things are just getting worse under Tinubu presidency. So how on earth will anyone vote for Tinubu again in 2027. Except if you are a paid APC agent or not a smart person, you would agree with me 2 Likes |

Almunjid: Trash! APC's victory in Edo state is a victory for Tinubu in Edo state in 2027. Through rigging, all know that BAT use governors ( structures) to win elections. Ganduje, elrufai, wike, shettima. Bello etc No matter how bad obaseki was, atleast we know that his policies never caused the inflation, hike in fuel price and the naira/dollar crash. These are more severe pains that Edo people have to through for one year which is more than counterbalance whatever underperformance by obaseki in eight years. This is the bigger picture you fail to see. Unless ofcourse you are one of the apc paid agent, then I wouldn't blame you,,,,! 1 Like |

senatordave1: If Kwankwaso would just swallow his pride and team up with Obi in 2027, then it's over for the Tinubu. |

senatordave1: To Kwankwaso I'm a kwankwsisyya member and a childhood friend of our father just won the chairmanship ticket under NNPP for the LGA elections in Kano coming up later in October. Through him, I've seen pictures and videos of secret meetings that Kwankwaso held with major politicians in katsina and kaduna and I can tell you for free that have already penetrated 50 percent of states in the northwest and he's still moving fast. Don't forget that elrufai and the present governor of kaduna state Sani have already fallen out with each other and there's a huge chance of Sani aligning with Kwankwaso in 2027. Mind you, during the July 1st protest, katsina state own loud wella. Bro, Tinubu will lose North West come 2027! The only region that might be guaranteed to him is Northeast since that's where his vice come from and also since since shettima might be eyeing the presidency seat for himself, hie would all what it could to secure their votes. But yet, the 3ks ( Kaduna, Kano and katsina) have the highest voter strength in the north and they would more than counterbalance tinubu's vote in the Northeast. We also have the north central whose votes would definitely be split on all sides of the divide. Once again I repeat, Tinubu have lost Northwest come 2027! |

Zackattack: But you forgot that the Ibos voted for OBJ, Yar'adua and even massively for Atiku on 2019. And when their own son came out to contest for the first time and they him, you accuse them of tribalism? Seriously ask your self bro, are you being fair at all? How would you feel if the other ethnic groups in the country treat you and your people as if you were second class citizens. What's worse is that before the election, the Yorubas and the Hausas know deep in thier hearts that Peter Obi has more intergrity in his little finger than tinubu, atiku and buhari have in their entire bodies. And yet they still voted for the greater evils because they felt it would be an insult for an Ibo man to rule over them even though he's a good man. Just like how they treated Jonathan. ( I don't mean Obi and GEJ are saints. You are I are not saints either) Now ask your self again, are the Ibos really the tribalistic group here? PS: I'm NOT an IBO MAN. Just like late Gen. Murtala Muhammad, I'm an Edo Muslim who was born and raised in Kano state. I understand their culture and speak their language so well that my Hausa girlfriend was shocked the day I revealed to her that I'm not a northern. I schooled at Bayero University Kano and I presently live in Kano. Even though I have enjoyed alot of favours and benefits here in the North by claiming to be Hausa. But their bias and prejudices against other ethnic groups especially when it comes to politics and governance is something I'll never be confortable with. I'm someone who frowns at injustice and oppression even though it will favor me and my family. 1 Like |

Gerrard59: Thank you very much for the first advice! It really shed more light. I'm just gonna focus on my education and side hustle untill level four before considering relationship. Just like you said, I would meet better women there, wether Muslims or christains. I believe the salary structure in the north is not much different from that in the south even for multinational companies or banks talkmore of the civil service where we have high rate of ghostworkers and corruption. And since the cost of living is relatively lower in the north while salary remain thesame, Muslim men can still afford to get married again, and build or rent another house for the new wife No the concept of virginity does not apply in large number to the northern Christian ladies. They're as liberal as the ladies down south ( We have the good, the bad and the ugly ![]() Right now, I can say that Kano and jigawa state which is next door are about the most secured states in the north. I don't think I have heard any case of kidnapping or banditry here since it started in buhari's regime wether in the cities and or villages. The last time a bomb blast occured was during GEJ regime. And it was just once or twice. Southerners live and go about thier businesses peacefully in sabon gari. All the banks here have 80 percent of thier staff as southerners. More southerners are still trooping to Kano everyday and areas like Nomansland and Jabba are rapidly being developed to accomodate them. These areas are even more beautiful and cleaner than sabongari which is already overpopulated. While a one bedroom apartment in sabon gari might cost between 300k to 450k depending on if it's a new or old house and facilitities present. All houses in Jabba are relatively new and way more expensive( not more than ten years as the whole place was literally a bush during the first tenure of GEJ. Land at Jabba that time were dirty cheap and alot of Ibo men saw the prospects of the place and they have more than triple thier wealth today). You'll even see one room self-contained been given out at 350k. Jabba also enjoy stable electricity and good roads than sabongari. Sabon gari and Jabba are not far from each other at all. The moment you leave sabongari, you will enter Jabba. |

Gerrard59: Not generally, the northern Muslim women that had a University education would definitely be looking forward to get an employment after graduation. But such type of ladies that completed tertiary education are not very common in my area unless I meet them on social media And you know the employment situation in the country is very terrible. Hence you would find most of them getting married and settling down as housewives despite their qualifications since they now have a partner financially stable enough to carter for their needs. Infact a northern Muslim who ed through university and can communicate properly in English some times gets an advantage of attracting a better suitor than the lady who is not educated. Except if the one who didn't go to school is more beautiful. A typical northern man who marries an educated young lady as his first or second or third wife, would be proud to show her off to his family and even mention her level of education to his friends outside. If the man is well connected or rich enough, he could use his influence to secure a job for her in a federal or state agency within the state. Almost all my former female course mates during my first degree are now married to financially stable men and they are all first wives. Some are working while others are housewives on the instructions of thier husband who provides everything for them. They all got married within a year or two after graduation Na we men no just get the opportunity, in addition to the fact that we don't come from previlege homes. Boss, here in the north ( Kano) it's quite hard to find a northern Muslim woman who's almost thirty and not yet married, except she's been married before but now a divorcee. Some divorcees gets married again while others... Generally, northern/Islamic marriages are very simple. Even in this economy, you can still prepare your wedding with a sum of 200k to 500k including bride price. The ladies just want to get married and thier parents can't wait to give them out to you so long they see you as a responsible person. Infact in many cases, the bride's parents would even sponsor the wedding altogether. And accommodation in the inner cities is very cheap, if you are unable to build your own house, you could get a house of three rooms, kitchen and bathroom and a shop for around 100k to 150k, good and neat houses just for you and your wife and the children you will born. Even if they put them up for sale, it wouldn't cost more than 2m to 3m. They'll never rent or sell such houses to a single guy because they don't trust him not to secretly bring women into the house for fornication. Some will even think you will spoil the small girls in the neighborhood. Needless to say, northern Muslim women marry with thier virginity still intact, except for the divorcees. Even though you offer to pay them 10m, they will never rent or sell the house to you. Unless you would sign an agreement that you wouldn't be staying there until you finally get married. And that's why I'm still living in my parents house at almost thirty years. You would hardly see even a single room for rent here. Unless I want to go get accommodation in the GRA or more liberal areas ( the places where southerners live in Kano). Houses there are as expensive as the type down south and the cost of food and goods are as expensive. And I can't afford that kind of life for now. And yes, northern men still dey build houses and marry multiple wives in this economy. |

Gerrard59: They do but the area where I live, you could hardly find younger women like that. Most of them are just waiting for marriage. Although, they make very submissive housewives. But na the financial angle I dey consider since I'm expected to be the one providing for the home and also sponsoring my education. Northern Christian ladies could be found engaged in any kind of jobs that their counterparts in the south do, wether skilled, semi skilled or unskilled. All I want is a industrious and loyal lady. Some one who is understanding and could this dream. Afterall, one the major reason why I'm going back to school to study MBBS is to secure a brighter future for my family that would come from me. |

Jman06: I know, bro. And that's what why I'm considering having a kid while in school before getting married. Note, I'm more fascinated in having a child than getting married now A son or a daughter would really serve a big motivation to strive harder to achieve my goals. I find the idea of waiting after seven years to have a kid quite uncomfortable So long as the mother of the child have something's doing, no matter how little. I'll be able to contributed my own quota no doubt. After graduation, we could get married. Afterall, one of the reasons why I'm going back to study medicine is to create a brighter future for the family that would come from me. The dilemma is that I don't even have a girlfriend whom I should have developed a meaningful relationship with. I don't even have any female friends because I'm deeply introverted. |

Gerrard59: I reflected on all what you said yesterday, sir. And honestly the picture has become clearer for me. From all what you said, I would make sure I pair up with a lady who has something doing, even though she's a secondary school teacher or a petty trader. Or a lady who have completed or about to complete are tertiary education. I would also consider the other option as per looking out for a northern non Muslim. Atleast thier parents allow them to work as they search for a partner. Thanks alot for this advise, Boss. |

jeff1993: Bro, how do I go about this? I'll be 30 next year and I just got ission to study medicine and surgery in a Fed. University after completing my studies some five years ago. That means I'll be a doctor in the next seven years, all things been equal, (in the absence of strikes and all). I'll be around 37 years at the time. Since the course is very demanding and don't require distractions and also couple with the fact that I'm not that financially bouyant. Also considering the kind of young ladies we have today, it's difficult to find a lady whose understanding and ive. And I need all the focus and attention I could get while pursuing my dream. Initially I've been thinking of getting married in my level two or three, but I'm now begining to have serious second thoughts and postpone marriage till I finish my program. Buuuutttt! I really love children! And I think seven years is too long a wait to have my own. Even though na just one pikin i get for now from now till when i graduate, I swear e go sweet me die! Infact my child will give me more motivation to continue to push harder no matter the obstacles towards the realisation of my dreams, since I'm doing the family I'll raise in the future. But the problem is I don't even have a girlfriend. Infact, I'm still a virgin. I live in a very conservative society ( core north). You can't just be moving around or dating a girl or sleeping with her. You must marry her first. As the matter be like this, I no get money for marriage talk more of getting stuck with a lady whose not working or running a business, a lady who will sit at home waiting for the man to fulfil all her financial needs, even though na Maggi she wan buy. ( Most northern women are like this) But I can definitely take care of one or two kids while I continue schooling. I have a side hustle ( freelance writing). It is from this hustle that I've been saving for my studies and I believe from it I can still provide for my kid from now till the next seven years. Abeg Boss, you know where I fit find such ladies or how I can be connected to such ladies that her and her parents can agree to such an arrangement even though she lives in another state in the south? I"m a man that keeps to my word and I'll definitely not abandon my responsibilities to her. Infact, if i get a really good lady that really did a good job in raising my kid , I wouldn't hesitate to marry her after graduation from med. school PS. I'm not an Hausa man, I'm an Edo Muslim who's very liberal. 5 Likes |
