I was in grade 10.
Love800:
So you weren't doing maths again as a subject. So, what class were you, when you dropped maths?

Am so surprised, because we can't try such here. We must take maths in till you finish your secondary school!
Samantha125(f): 8:17pm On Apr 28
So I nearly got it right because I just assumed it meant "what's wrong?".
Mariangeles:

From that song, right? πŸ˜€
It means what did I do?

Like 🎢 What did I do, my darling? 🎢
Samantha125(f): 7:54pm On Apr 28
It's a weekly routine... grin grin grin... They're still working on it to make it last longer.

What does "emere mu gini" mean?
Mariangeles:

Ugh!πŸ™„
What is the point then? πŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

For some s, it's worth the trouble sha.
Samantha125(f): 7:36pm On Apr 28
Yep.
Love800:
Your comment is confusing. Are you saying that students are allowed to drop maths subject in secondary schools?
Samantha125(f): 7:35pm On Apr 28
The blocking method will only last for a week... That means you'll have to repeat the same thing every week.
Mariangeles:

I didn't even know, until I read about it on this thread.

At least, you can make do with this one, since deactivation is not possible.
Samantha125(f): 7:32pm On Apr 28
Yes, I did mathematical literacy...πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘... With that one, you can easily pull a F method and you're done.
ghettochild:

Lol did you switch to mathematics literacy.??
Samantha125(f): 6:06pm On Apr 28
Yep, I saw the thread about it on front page.
Mariangeles:

Wow!
How did you find out? 😳

Samantha125, have you heard?
You can now block s on nairaland. πŸ˜€

Let me go compile a list. πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Honestly! That one will be first on my list.
Samantha125(f): 10:01pm On Apr 26
In some instances, of course you have to make some sacrifices and align yourself with certain individuals in order to make it.

Let's take our girl Tyla for example... I might not be a fan of her music because I consider her amapiano as a "private school" type of amapiano... I'm not hating, but for me amapiano is not amapiano without SA vernaculars, immediately you start singing in English, you'd confuse me... But since she's a Coloured girl, her situation is understandable... She's a wonderful artist, makes great music even though it's not my kinda music.

She might've managed to make a breakthrough into the American music industry, but I personally never liked the idea of her going there to market her music and get exposed to the toxic American music industry... She's now being pressured to identify as black and she's constantly made to show appreciation to the American culture by dressing a certain type of way in honour of certain American celebrities... And she's always receiving backlash for it.

I see her in the next 20 years or so dropping a memoir of the things she went through in that toxic industry... She's too innocent and some people might want to take advantage of her.

RenaissanceGuy:
Stop this emotional blackmail, because I have a clear memory that many Nigerian Nairalanders vibe very well with you here, without anyone bullying you.

I'm not yet a mom, but as someone who had lots of toys as a child and still have some of teddy bears even today, I believe in children having toys... They help distract them from being up to no good.

If you don't get them toys, they'll look for something to play with around the house, something that might be harmful.

Maybe if you didn't disrespect the local nationals at the slightest opportunity, you wouldn't be reminded of your status. They're hundreds of foreigners from different countries here.

Okay Sir.

[/b]

Aren't you a nairalander...?

No one has restricted you from ing to decide except yourself.

You always insinuate you are been persecuted, picked on and under appreciated here. When in fact you are a genius in gaslighting. It's actually comments like this you make that make people turn against you here. (Most people here do not really care about your nationality and as someone has pointed they are other nationals here)

And then you turn around to complain. It's just a simple question.

If you keep an open mind you will see most of these things are really in your head.

Most times people project on others what they really are inside them.

Samantha pls don't be here against your free will!

Maybe I might switch to Quora when I leave nairaland... At least I won't be reminded every minute of how I'm a foreign national and not welcomed there.
GistMedia0:

Nairaland is a popular Nigerian forum for local discussions on politics, entertainment, and news, with a simple design and no upvote system. It focuses on -generated content from Nigerians. Quora, a global platform, allows s to ask questions and share knowledge, featuring voting and expert contributions. Nairaland is more locally focused, while Quora offers a global knowledge-sharing experience.

Ohh! I like it...πŸ‘ŒπŸΏπŸ‘ŒπŸΏπŸ‘ŒπŸΏ

How's Quora compared to nairaland in general?
GistMedia0:

This is an example of Night Mode vs Day Mode on Quora! This is exactly what the night mode feature can look like or do on a website.

Some of us who have issues with our eye sight, I usually switch off my phone brightness and and put it on night mode during the night to avoid hurting my eyes.

I believe every phone has a night mode feature.
GistMedia0:

That's why @Seun was advised to add a night mode feature to the forum... even the current design is still quite bright.

Miss, it's too bright and the brightness is hurting my eyes... But I guess it's up to Nigerians to decide what's best for their forum.

Find a place in your heart to pardon me just for the sake of our four children - Nigerian man pens public apology letter to his wife

A Benue man, Ubwa Tavershima Bernard, has publicly apologized to his wife for hurting her with his actions.

In a Facebook post, Bernard pleaded with his wife to forgive him for the sake of their four children.

β€œMy beautiful wife, please I have pleaded with you for over a month now and I myself have gone through pains for my actions in hurting you and I do regret it sincerely,” he wrote.

β€œAllow this issue rest just because of the four kids we have, the more u keep talking about dis the more it takes u time to heal and I am sad about it. I will continue pleading with you as my wife and also the mother of our kids to find a place in your heart to pardon me just for the sake of the kids. I am sorry a trillion times.”

We Africans are our own problem... We tend to worship those people who we either consider to be financially comfortable or successful... We'd put them on a pedestal and that alone would breed room for arrogance in them... They'll start feeling like everyone is beneath them and looking down on those who are still struggling to make ends meet.

You'd even hear these unemployed ones addressing you by your profession, which I find to be really annoying... I sometimes have to lie about my area of expertise in order to just fit in, especially when I go to my village for an event or something because even though I'm an introvert, I like socialising with other people whenever I go to family events regardless of their age or occupation status.

Some would even try to speak to me in English and you can hear that the English is broken, I'd be like, "mara ke bolela Sepedi go swana le wena"...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚... Africans need to drop this mentality of always seeing the need to hype the working class Africans because you'll only bring out the worst in those people and start getting offended when they look down on you.

More like you're the one in need of a platform to satisfy your anti-Nigerian urges... You're just getting what you want here is all. You are here to antagonize/troll everything Nigerian expecting to get a reaction from us that'll score your anti-Nigerian performance and that's what you're simply getting from me personally; a reaction, so quit playing dumb using sarcasm cuz we will soon be getting another of your attention-seeking topics in no time, no?
