Am going to be as open as I can with this writeup... firstly I know it would help smone in future... Secondly writing is therapeutic for me.

In 2020 Wen I lost my dad... I was heavily preggy. they hid the news from me. Thinking I'd lose the baby. Wen I found out, I cried all day stopped eating n sleeping but I carried to term.

Fast forward to this preggy...I happened to stumble on hubby's chats late September...my world crashed...even more painful was the fact dat I had been caving in to his demands for sex even with a cerclage stitched jus to curb his yearnings... N every antenatal my doc wud say... Don't av sex till 37 weeks please... N I'd reply... Of course doc.

My world crashed after I saw those chat... I stopped eating... Stopped sleeping... Stopped laffing... Cried all day for weeks...every one said your condition...I didn't care... Didnt even I was preggy. My job starts at ten am.. But I wud go by seven am...jus to avoid hubby... I'd sit on the steps n cry till d security come by 9.30.. after work I'd roam around till nine pm, head back home n straight to bed...no food no shower... I was slowly loosing my mind.

I didn't even notice the baby wasnt kickin as befo.. I felt if I didn't lose a preggy from crying Wen my pop died... Den I wudnt now... Besides how does crying affect a preggy sef... Dats ridiculous.

October 18th after I roaming about n crying my soul out, got back home around 9:30 straight to guestroom soon as I laid down hot fluid gushed out of me .. I tot it was pee at first... I was jus 32 weeks n edd was December 5th... I started screaming Wen I realized my water had broke... Hubby rushed me to hospital dat night... Emergency scan showed d cerclage had broken and baby was weak wit very minimal activity....had to have a CS asap... The chief doc wasnt around so I had to wait till the next day... I kept begging God please let this baby live biko... If I lose her I'd run insane..I had the baby d next day... October 19th...She weighed 1.9... very fragile n tiny but strong. All the oxygen tanks n poking n pricking her for veins, her head one side sef come swell...phototherapy etc is another story on its own.

We got discharged fourteen days later...hmm.each time I look her...i shudder in fright at what my life wud be like if I'd lost her...am jus glad dat out of all this pain... Smtin sweet n priceless came forth... May our joy never be cut short... Amin...

Hmmm! Wish I can share my own story about cheating husbands. First, I want to say a big congratulations, you are a very strong woman and that little girl will be so proud of you, I don’t know you but I am proud of you.
You see hubby? Forget him, just do your thing and to do what is best for you. If you can tolerate him, go ahead, if you can’t, please leave for the sake of your health.
I am here managing mine, is it easy, not in the least. Am I happy with, at all o. My sister, pls do what’s best for you and you should always come first

Yes I get it now. Wow! I just discovered new thing. What I know of it's mia KUKA, that Hausa own,it works like wonder when in labour,you mix it in normal water on a cup and drink. Easy delivery Asap. That's what most Hausa women do use and their delivery is usually sharp sharp,some do give birth at home bcs of their many home remedy for easy delivery.

from 9months I regularly take pap water made after washing,soaking n filtering the corn,let it settle day break,the water that settles on top.my pink jet arrived on the 4th sept.EDD 17/9 and 23/9.it was with me in the labour ward.aids easy and fast labour and birth.you can try dates and exercises like squatting dancing etc…

women who nva hv CS can hv vaginal delivery even thou d baby is big but women who previously hv CS n d duration of the time isnt far long b4 another pregnancy cant have vaginal delivery, i am not saying its not possible but its dangerous especially ur case in which your baby turns out to be big... VBAC can only be advice two n half years after previous CS. Goodluck dear n safe delivery to u and all of us.

Let me first apologise, if my advice may sound offensive but i have to be realistic with u....... U had CS 18months ago n u wanna try VBAC??!!! with baby that is already 3.2kg n can most likly weight more b4 40weeks... Dont try it pls n pls dont even think about inducing yoursef, it may lead to emergency CS .. Speak to ur doctor n jejely chose date 4 ur C-sectn.... Dont stress d baby n ursef by wanting VBAC... opt 4 Csectn pls. Anyway, ur doctor will consult u more sha because d weight of d baby don wetin u want for vbac to happen.

hmmm, I understand. Truth is, my baby is always big, 1st child was 4.1 and it was VBAC but I will consult my doc like you advised.

Good morning beautiful mamas, I purposely logged off Nairaland for some time so I don’t get anxious about my EDD but here I am again, anxious as a butterfly. I had my 2nd baby last yr march through C/S and now my EDD is Oct 3rd. When I started anti natal, I asked my doctor if I will be allowed to try vaginal birth but she said no due to distance between last birth and current pregnancy, that was how I removed mind and started eating everything that hungry me o.

Fast forward to yesterday anti natal, doctor told me that since my pregnancy has been stress free, she wants to see if I can try vaginal birth but first I should go and check baby’s weight, I did scan and baby was weighing 3.2kg, this is just week 36/37, I always cross my EDD which led to the last C/S, if baby’s Weight is 3.2kg now, what will by baby be weighing by 42weeks?

If she had told me I will be allowed to try, I would have controlled my food, or even find ways to control weight gain, I really want to try and don’t know what to do now. I will be submitting the result to her in two weeks time, I am already scared of her response.

Pls is there any sure way to induce labor? Pineapple don’t work for me, pls somebody should help me o, I don’t have anyone to come take care of my this time, lost my mum last yr after birth. I want to try vaginal birth so I can recover fast since I my husband will be the only help I might get this time.

There was this lady too that has been menstruating for months but never knew she's carrying a baby, she always doesn't like the way her stomach feels and went for scan after many treatment of fever, typhoid malaria. GOD is really wonderful.

I am usually very sick during first trimester but this time, I wasn’t that sick hence I did not suspect pregnancy. The irritation was getting too much, everything just Dey vex me and at a point, I just vex go hospital. It’s funny though, immediately I got the news, everything made sense

My Birth Story...

The journey has been really smooth right from the time I conceived, except for the food aversion in the first trimester, and back pain in the 3rd trimester. I was even able to go to work till the last day. So thankful to God for making it really easy for me...

My EDD is 8th June, 2024 according to the first scan I had. And because I had my first baby at 39wks 3days, I thought this one too should be same.

At 38wks, kept having on & off contractions which made me restless. Wanted to start maternity leave when I hit 39wks but one of my colleagues advised I wait till I delivered, so I agreed.

On Thursday, 6th June 2024, my tired was tired. I've been exercising and eating pineapple but the contractions were not consistent. I was already 39wks 5days gone. Throughout that day at work, I kept reading up about castor oil and how to induce labor with it. Even though it is said to induce labor, the reviews were not that pleasant as many complained of nausea, stooling, vomiting, and so on after taking four spoons or half a bottle.

Still went on to buy it that evening as we strolled out with DH to get the remaining hospital items. DH was not even aware o... Just told him to be buying other things in the supermarket while I get Lucozade boost in the pharmacy. I'm not even proud of this lie.

After we got home, I mixed just a spoon with hollandia yoghurt around 9:30pm and took. Around 10:30pm, I had to use the restroom as I was having stomach upset. Ghen ghen. After purging, I went back to bed. At about 12:30am, I woke up and felt like I had peed on myself...wasn't sure what it was, but I started having contractions immediately. The contractions were like 3mins apart, but mild.

I told my husband to prepare for us to go to the hospital. We went along with my friend who stays with us, and left my boy with my sister. I was hoping the contractions would progress but it was consistent like that. We got to the hospital at about 2am. I told the nurse how I was feeling and she checked me. I was like 2cm, then she decided to do a membrane sweep and told me to wait till morning when the doctors were around. As I waited in the ward, the contractions started becoming more painful. Then at about 9am after breakfast, I was taken to the labor room where the female doctor checked and said i was 4cm and did another sweep, then told the nurse to induce me. Ah. The induction began at about 10:30am to last for 3hrs. Contractions kept coming 5mins apart. Just kept playing GUC's Album to take my mind off it. My husband was later allowed in where we kept gisting till 1pm. The nurse sef was shocked. She said its as if this induction is not working oh... My husband had to leave to get some baby stuff again, and when I was checked, I was like 8cm gone but I wasn't feeling much pain from the contractions. I think the nurse broke my water or so, and that was when the drama started. At about 3pm, had to dial my husband's number to come and give me moral oh. He came back around 3:30pm or so... The nurse told me to push when I felt the need to poo. I pooed a little and the nurse wiped it, I even peed so much it wanted to pour on her. Chai.

When I was told to push, I was using my throat. Guys, learn how to push oh...just do it like you want to poo. When I did that, that was when my baby popped out.

I want to thank God because at about 4:21pm, I welcomed my beautiful princess with little tear, weighing 3.40kg. The placenta was delivered immediately and the tear was stitched as well.
We were discharged the following morning.

long time mamas, beautiful Sunday team oct. baby gender confirmed o, XY, I don’t even know how to feel, I wanted somebody that will come help me wear all the clothes I bought last yr that my daughter have outgrow. My husband don’t want to let me hear word about how he won again, I nor just get strength for that one.
I feel very energetic, but I really can’t celebrate because I know what is coming soon and it just dampens my spirit. Third trimester is always very difficult for me and each time I feel so strong and all, I just 3rd trimester and I can’t even enjoy the moment.
Oct is still far, I wish it will just come and go.

At least I can eat, chat and.be like a human being, even if uncomfortable and large at third trimester

I usually develop asthma during my 3rd trimester, crazy heartburn, edema, back pain, sleeplessness. He nor funny for me o, but some people find it easier than 1st trimester though. I nor like anyone

this is my third. Happy I can eat my own food cause during 1st trimester, I couldn’t eat anything I cook, it was very frustrating. I am getting myself mentally and physically ready for 3 trimester. Between 1st and 3rd trimester, I nor know which one I fear

Got married 2018 as I am typing I am crying asking God why did he create me because nothing good has happened in my entire life
Na I can't get pregnant.. first it was fibroid nothing I did or took walk from Metformin clomid to letrozole to follicular tracking finally I said let me do the fibroid surgery so that will be out of the way. I did the surgery in march last year
Now no menses since Oct. A pelvic scan I did say closed cervix
I know that people are going through alot here but mine is too much from one bad news to another no break my husband is even tired
I have asked him to go and marry another wife
Because I don't see myself getting pregnant talkless of giving birth

There is a reason God sits on that throne, it will come to , you will hear congratulations and it will become music in your household

All thanks to Almighty God, I welcomed my son with happiness. My wife delivered on the 14th through Vir.. Deli... The baby weight 3.6kg. but seriously I was so scared of her big tummy. To extent that I stopped copulate at week 28. The moving and the kicking of the baby scares me but all thanks to God.

lol, if you see me during my final months, you will not want me to stand or sit close to you. Some people have very big tummy during pregnancy, it doesn’t mean anything, don’t let it frighten you. During our first, my husband do ask me if I am carrying a baby or water buffalo

My birth story no too long but then I must share it, myself and hubby was already contemplating on going one more time or make we kuku hang d both after our 2nd princess... We discussed Family planning but I kept procrastinating because of so many bad reviews and side effects I keep hearing and reading o. My baby girl was 9months when I found out AF don run leave me, Omo I vex for Hubby for days for getting me pregnant I even threatened to remove it o but d man sha bribe with little egunje , suya and a pack of Pepsi ( make una no mind me I like bribe small)...

1st trimester was hell as usual with plenty vomiting, food aversion, metallic taste bud etc, especially now with 2kids, a preschooler and a toddler.. with no help, hubby is always around on weekends, I managed myself and ed my baby in school at 1year 2months so d stress will reduce... 2nd trimester came and d vomiting didn't not stop but at least now I can eat , I ed for ANC at general hospital and everything was fine only low PVC of 28%. Keep pushing till 3rd trimester and d count down begins.... At 37weeks my tiredness was out of this world, I keep doing d little exercise I could den I took long unpaid leave from work,

At 39weeks exactly I took a leaf I heard works for induction o but In my own case na purging and vomiting d herb gave me, a day after taking d herb I had mild contractions that stopped after few hours. I went for ANC as usual on Monday @39weeks3days with little contractions as usual, complained to d doctor, he asked me to go back home come back incase I see any sign or it gets serious, I was a bit disappointed I wasn't checked or itted.

Came back home, I trekked some of d distance den later went to pick the kids from school with bike instead of driving... I started feeling mild contractions Ard 5pm called hubby and inform him to prepare incase it gets serious, it got stronger Ard 6pm coming like 3mins apart by this time all I told hubby was to just leave everything he was doing and start coming home(imagine leaving Apapa to Badagry)... I manage to help my baby with her Assignments, fed and bathed them and but them to bed. By 6:40pm I called a friend to come stay with me still hoping hubby will meet up. Ard 7:30pm I called a nurse friend who checked me and said i was already 8cm dilated so there's no way I could make to where I ed which is like 45mins drive... I picked my things went to a midwife place d next street to mine(though have informed her ahead incase of emergency), got there 7:50pm and by 8:10pm we welcome our princess and we came home 11pm same-day.

Team October here according to scan o but I nor trust them. I did not see my period after my last baby so I don’t even know my last menstruation. Scan said Oct but what if they are wrong? Let me keep my fingers crossed o
