Greetings all,

Abeg I need help with getting WhatsApp verification code. I just woke up 3 days ago and noticed WhatsApp logged me out. I tried logging in back and keep getting ‘unable to send code’. I also tried the call option and got same error code of unable to call. I’ve deleted the WhatsApp countless time but I still keep getting same error to try back after an hour. I keep going in cycles and the 1 hour never ends.

I initially thought it’s my sim but I was able to get other code like Telegram code, bank alert message and also chatted Glo on Twitter which they also sent me a ‘Test code’ without issues. I have sent an email to WhatsApp regarding this issue but no response till now.

Please what else can I do to get this code from WhatsApp. Attach here is the response I keep getting

Thank you

I am guessing it’s your Nigerian Number you are talking about yes?

Do you have the SIM in a phone? Is the number active? Do you have at least N50 credit?
Do you receive ‘normal’ sms? For example, if someone from Nigeria sends an sms. Do you receive it?

My people, is the CSCS construction certification as relevant as it used to be? Is it still as lucrative?

The certification itself hasn’t lost any relevance. It’s still like it has always been. If there are a lot of construction gigs going on around where you live, and you want to earn some ££ then CSCS. Why not?

My people. I greet una.

I'm reviewing my psw application and discovered that I entered port details (including issue and expiry dates) where national identity card was required.

I've also done the declaration part so can't edit any longer. All that's left is to make payment for IHS and application.

What are my options, please? Is this error fatal, and do I have to start another application from scratch?

Thanks.

Start another application from scratch, shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes to complete.
You have your peace of mind, and your sanity.

Complete your application, then the application as pdf, make your edits on it by cancelling out the wrong info and type or write the correct info and after finishing submit it as an additional document and can include explanation.

Can use the website ilovepdf dot com_or you print out the application form then use pen to cancel our and write.

Edit: follow @ Bourne007 explanation similar process I was trying to explain above

Honestly speaking, I think this is too much for a simple issue.
OP has not paid, the application hasn’t even be made yet.
Isn’t it a better thing for OP to simply create a new application? Enter everything correctly and avoid any long (unnecessary) grammar?

Money on paper especially the over all salary and the fact that all expenses are usually paid and that's how we came here too. Our combined income when we first arrived, doubled our UK combined income.
And honestly, the average Brit thinks that the UK is a third world country grin and that every other developed country is better.

People who are recruited from the health care sector are recruited to the regional areas and it's mainly Australia that pays very well. Very few come to NZ as salaries are a bit lower here. Very few can also buy holiday homes in either Aus or NZ as the cost of living is pretty high. The average junior dr salary is around $80k for both countries but a lower population and living in less populated areas means less work over all and more time to shalaye as needed.

Plus the lifestyle is totally different so for a newbie there's lot to enjoy initially. For example, it's warm all year round and we always have a hot Christmas, majority live close to the sea. NZ in particular is a very relaxed typically Pacific country. No school uniforms, no home work at primary school, people wear T shirts and shorts to work - that's a business attire haha, people walk bare feet in summer, my children hardly wear shoes to school cos they have a shoe free classroom and their classmates don't bother - they just put the shoes in the bags!
Houses are larger, way way larger than the UK. Our bedrooms in my house are bigger than the lounge in our UK family home!
People are friendlier - so much so that you will walk away thinking you've made a new best friend.

One day when I have time, I'll do a break down of our monthly costs that we still have in the UK and also have here. We spend a lot lot more here on those costs.

Thank you very much for this information. Really useful.

If you sell your treasure bills in Nigeria. Or you sell off that piece of land you bought in 2013 in Iyana-Ipaja. Do you pay taxes from that Nigeria sale to the HMRC? (In addition to the taxes you paid to FIRS/LIRS)?

Ticha, thanks for this... all i have been saying..all i have been freaking saying

I provided visa approval data and links of even Australia revising their immigration laws....

Provided % of immigrants data to Total population...

Till today, no data to back their emotional responses....

Some said it is because I settled status which i don't have... i still paid the IHS and visa fees last year.. i'm affected

Some said i have oppressed mentality.... meanwhile they don't look in the mirror.. .. when you keep that mindset, you're actually the one being oppressed.. the oppression has a great real estate in their minds

You can keep migrating and keep complaining because no country is perfect when it comes to immigration

There are countries that will want 1 million immigrants, but they do it in milestones over a period of time... No country will just open their borders to 1 million immigrants at once

They do it in stages and review each stage to see the pressure on the amenities and system (people, culture, facilities, budget, etc).

Even ’s Emmanuel Macron who (and his ers) speak so much bile (I use the word intentionally) on Marie Le Pen. Guess who sent an ‘anti immigration’ bill to Parliament? No. You guessed wrong. It wasn’t Marie Le Pen. It was EMMANUEL MACRON.

Not entirely correct. They pay tax on their UK income which entitles them to use the services you have mentioned. Whether it’s morally acceptable or not is another discussion.

Hello Ticha,
Given your submission, I am kinda perplexed. Why then do we have NHS doctors leaving in droves and moving to Australia & NZ ?… at least so says the UK shadow cabinet et al. Does a ‘Junior Doctor’ earn up to AUD $150,000 annually? So that even with 33% tax, they go home with lots and lots and are able to comfortably live, pay off mortgages and buy second holiday homes etc….
ReesheesuKnack: 9:45am On Dec 12, 2023

None. You're taxed from your very first dollar earned! Lowest tax band is also 33% (10% for under18s). All savings and investments are also taxed so nothing like ISAs or LISAs.

Sounds like the kind of taxation a certain Labour politician wishes for the UK.

Changed my mind. You have a different style of debate. It does make me feel like i m talking to myself.

Can you watch uk political shows tomorrow? You won't see your style at all guaranteed.

I m yielding the floor to you but i have not conceeded the point.

Good day to you , Sir/Ma

Better yield the floor. You come all the time to push a Labour agenda. You quoted Zahra as a good debater. Did you notice that Zahra29 debates without recourse to party-political affiliation?

You, every time, you castigate the Tories. Paint the Tories as evil. Look at this thread, for the past 300+ pages. Search the thread and see how many times anyone (apart from you) has infused Tory this, Tory that on the thread.

You portray Labour as the messiahs. Very small push back like this, very tiny pushback, you collapse like a pack of cards.

Like I mentioned, the 2014 Nigerian experience has shown clearly that castigating and painting a ruling party in bad light is not enough.

You want us to vote Labour, to get the evil and wicked Tories out, but you are afraid of putting down labours” policies down in black and white to convince us.

Tell us, how Labour will do it.
That was how Osinbajo, Buhari, Fashola et al made noise in 2014. They pointed out all the evils of the GEJ/UMY/OBJ (16 years of waste). And failed to craft a policy on how they will achieve it. With hindsight, we now know that APC ( equivalent of the present day UK Labour Party) left nigeria worst than they met it.

Elaborate on how Labour will do it.
And spend less energy on your daily Nairaland Tory bashing. Then, you could win more votes for Labour.

PS: I have met David Lammy 1-2-1. I read the Guardian. I watch the BBC. I watch GB News. I am an avid consumer of LBC’s James O’Brien. I voted Rupa Haq in 2017 and voted Daniel Zeichner in 2019. If Dianne Abbott stands next year, who knows, I may vote her.

Hello House, as a dependent, looking to switch to a health and care visa as the main applicant is it mandatory I do a test to prove your knowledge of English for a health and care worker visa, Bear in mind I have a Higher National Diploma. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Yes. You do need to proof your competency in the English Language.
Option 1: & write IELTS.
Option 2: Get your OND/HND transcripts and certificates. Get a letter from your school in Nigeria to attest that English was the medium of Instruction. Create an on the UK NARIC (I think they cal it ECCTISS now or so).
Do a comparison of your HND/OND. the attestation letter from your school. If it’s comparable to a UK English ( I think B2 they call it), then you are sorted. Use that to proof your English and apply for the visa.

Come back , Zahra. 😃.

I only mentioned the daily mail because not everyone knows who rothermere is as would be clear to anyone who read my sentence...he does not pay uk taxes because of "non dom status ". That is unfair and should be remedied.simple and short

Does he (his company) pay every single kobo in tax for ALL the earnings in the UK?
The answer is YES.
This non dom argument get as e be.
So you, MissJekyll. Let’s assume that your grandfather in Nigeria left you 20,000,000 naira.
You open up a small Ankara company in Gusau.
You employ people. They work for your company. Your company in Gusau makes profit. Your company pays ALL taxes to the FIRS in Nigeria.

The same You, MissJekyll, having moved to the UK, you used the money you earned in the UK to open up a zobo factory in Bath or Cornwall.

Your zobo company employs British people and provided jobs for British people. Your zobo company pays ALL its taxes to the HMRC.

Then along comes Labour Candidate who says that to raise money in order to fund UK schools and to pay Benefits to UK citizens and to increase the salaries of UK GPs, you MUST pay taxes on ALL your company profits in Gusau, Nigeria to the UK govt, in addition of all the taxes you have paid to the FIRS in Nigeria.
In other words, your Zobo factory in Bath pays taxes to HMRC only, whereas your Ankara company in Gusau is expected to pay taxes to both the FIRS and the HMRC.

Which kind sense be that?

So much for Labour wanting to fund the UK from non dom status taxes.

Give me a break!

why are your plans for immigrants like all of us on this thread so vindictive and punishing? Why have you spent 300 million on this Rwanda fairytale with nothing to show for it?
Why are you pushing to leave the European Court of Human Rights ? What other terrors do you have planned for the hapless inhabitants of these Isles?

Why are the railways expensive yet cr*p?

why is the NHS now rubbish?

Why are schools collapsing literally?

Why are prisons now so full to the brim that criminals are being released early?where are our bobbies on the beat?

Why are criminal courts backed up to 2 years even for serious crimes?

Why can i no longer swim in the sea at dymchurch because soakaway is being poured into the ocean?

Why are there more foodbanks than mcdonalds?

What have you done well in the past 13 years?

Pray tell, inquiring minds on this thread want to know

As an avid student of (recent Nigerian History), your rhetoric is EXACTLY what the APC used to get to power in 2015. All these ‘Where’ questions you are asking, the APC asked them. And because of all the Where’s rhetoric, the APC got into power. The APC (in 2014) was talking about making $ = NGN. What they failed to do was to say the ‘HOW’.

That is the same thing You (and UK Labour & Cooperative Party) are doing. Whipping up rhetorics. Oya, tell us (the voters) how you will achieve it. The HOW is the key thing here. Plus, where will the money come from?

Missjekyll. HoW will you achieve these?

Railways are expensive yet crap: How will labour reduce the fare from Sheffield to Rotherham from £5.10 to £1.20?

The NHS is now rubbish: HOW will Labour un-rubbish it?

There are no bobbies on the beat: How will Labour bring bobbies on the beat? And where will the money for the bobbies salaries come from?

There are more food banks than macdonalds: How will Labour establish more macdonalds to outnumber the food banks?

Prisons are now full to the brim: how will Labour decongest them?

You see, you keep on banging about how the Tories are rubbish. Tell us how Labour will solve the problems.

If you want to bring up stories that touch, to portray any race as good and another race as bad, better bring up justifiable stories.

Your aim of bringing this story is summarised in the last 2 sentences of your original post:
To imply that the black guy who is an immigrant (like you) shouldn’t apply the rules to a ‘fellow’ immigrant. Your story was meant to paint white as good and black (immigrant) as bad.

Balderdash!!

The white ticket inspectors (who in All honesty failed to do their jobs properly) were probably too scared to apply the rules to you because of fear you could play the race card.

Plus, the white men looked at your face and saw that you resembled someone who could do to them what you implicitly implied you would do to that Black ticket inspector (re: last sentence of your original post). So they just ‘let sleeping dog lie’.

But that black ticket inspector, he saw you, looked at your face and e no scare am. He has probably handled rough people (in that same Lagos you quoted previously). So he applied the rules.

In any case , its probably best left to Scottish or Welsh Nigerians if there are any on the thread. You seem to be repeating daily mail headlines ( correct me if I m wrong)

What would be fairer is to compare the same nation (England) under the labour party and the conservatives.

As to taxes, it is only fair that people who make more should pay more taxes. Lord Rothermere (owner of the daily times a billionaire) pays No taxes in the UK. The same uk he has based his business in and freely uses UK services being paid for taxpayers like you and i. This is just 1 example. There are thousands more.

Taxing the rich will raise more money too for social services .Its simple mathematics, 40 % of £5000 is less than 40% of 1 million.

I heartily endorse this policy. Everybody should pay their share towards the growth of the country.
The government should tax them first before coming to me for more money.

Is the daily mail a burden to the UK? Does the daily mail provide gainful employment to hundreds of citizens (who may otherwise probably have been without jobs?)

I not only answered your question about wales , i extended it to scotland and northern ireland when i mentioned devolved governments.

Westminster have got the purse strings and with the best will in the world, even the best government in the world cannot deliver without funding.

If you think the economy was bad under Gordon Brown, how would you describe it now and in the past 13 years?

Do you , in all honesty, deserve another win? NO!Absolutely NOT.

You are beginning to sound like Nigerian Governors. A PDP governor will be performing woefully in his state, he will not be doing what Governors are meant to do. If you ask him, he will point the fingers at the APC President as the cause.

Same applies to an ANPP Governor. This Governor will not pay salaries. Not pay pensioners. This Governor will use millions and millions and millions to sponsor pilgrimages. Sponsor mass weddings. Build new mosques. Sponsor quaran recitation programmes, sponsor feeding during Ramadan. This same Governor will not build or improve a single Govt Sec Schoo or primary school. If you want to hold him to ransom, he will point the blame at the PDP president at the centre.

Question: Has the Labour government in Wales utilised the ‘meagre’ resources they get from Westminster to better the lives of the Welsh voters (on issues that are within the powers of the devolved governments)?
No…. They would rather pursue useless 20mph speed limits.

Has the SNP utilised all they get from Westminster to better the lives of the Scots?
No, they would rather spend hundreds of hours pursuing phantom gender bills. And Nicola & her hubby will be using money to buy motorhomes.
