So you did not understand when I was saying Nigerians generally have a default verdict when it comes to expensive cars?

I now agree that you obviously drive in a high brow estate.

One thing I know in Lagos is if you are wrong, a danfo driver will never let you go for free.

It's a pity we didn't know what exactly happened. Not that I smashing of screens, but for Danfo.... ?
You're a Nigerian, what is your default verdict when you witness accidents involving expensive cars?

Oke-Ira isn't highbrow cheesy

It's possible Pastor Paul was at fault, it's possible the danfo driver was at fault, but the only thing we know for sure is that those that were at the scene of what happened said Pastor Paul was at fault, and Pastor Paul's PA stayed back to pacify them.

Pastor Paul isn't the regular road , he's a celebrity and a pastor...if those factors aren't enough to calm him down and not have him behave like a regular road , odds are he might have an anger problem, and I won't blame anyone coming to that conclusion, especially when you factor his more recent situation.

Plus smashing danfo driver bus parts isn't standard behavior for private vehicle owners, even among us here odds are it's only a minority that'd have exchanged blows with danfo drivers, or have had need to smash their vehicle in rage.

It looks like nobody here has ever intentionally smashed s danfo's windscreen. I wonder why? grin

I'm not saying I can't ruff it up with someone if it comes to it, but that'd likely be after I've exhausted other options. E even get how you fit rough am up with person without it having to get to where you're exchanging blows.

You still no answer the question sha.

You see Danfo drivers, Okada riders, and Keke people… bro, fear them o!

I have a cousin who had an accident involving a Keke rider. The Keke rider was clearly at fault, but because my cousin was driving one of those luxury Toyotas now worth ₦15 million in today’s market, a crowd quickly gathered and started threatening him. Out of concern for the Keke rider—who, by the way, had no visible injuries—my cousin offered to take him to the hospital. That’s when the real wahala started.

They began demanding that he buy a brand-new Keke. Luckily, the accident happened right in front of a filling station between Warri and Eku, several years ago. The owner of the station, who happened to be a local and spoke the language, quickly intervened—just in time too, because the Mopol stationed at the filling station had already cocked his gun in of the Keke man and was threatening my cousin.

The station owner ordered the Mopol to step back and addressed the crowd. He told them that my cousin had already shown more than enough goodwill by agreeing to take the Keke man to the hospital, and that anything beyond that wasn’t his responsibility. He also instructed another Mopol to escort my cousin to the hospital, stay until payment was made for the man’s checkup, then follow him to Eku and return. He firmly warned both the Keke man and the Mopol that if anything happened to my cousin, they would be held able.

That’s how my cousin got out of the situation unharmed—physically, at least. Mentally and financially? Completely drained.
Egbon, I saw what you did there oo.

I think the point that was being made wasn't even about standing ground, it was more...since it's near certain you can't get financial compensation from Danfo driver, you should start fighting with them, or beat them if you can.

If you meet a Danfo driver that leaves you no choice but to fight, of course you'd fight, but reality is that you're most likely going to have other options to handling the situation.

Situation wey you and Danfo dey drag space for road and you notice the guy no wan back down, best thing na to give them space, cause those guys no really care if their car bash. I sure say Diggz go be one of those wey no dey wan gree for Danfo because e know say if e come down to am e go bloodly their nose cheesy

Why not start by naming the other options you think could’ve been used to handle the situation?

There’s a reason Blueray immediately begged the woman—someone who clearly couldn’t physically fight him. It was to deescalate the situation. You can’t drive recklessly, hurl insults at someone, damage their property, and then continue insulting them without making any effort to calm things down—and still expect to walk away freely.

By the way, I don’t understand why you’re trying to change the narrative of my story. Do you even know Ilupeju Road that leads to Onipanu Junction? Or the streets I mentioned in Gbagada? If you did, there’s no way you’d be creating a different version of events.

Your only options are: stay in your lane and get your car damaged, end up in a gutter, or hit someone on the side. But somehow you want to give “Danfo” drivers room—how exactly?

You be saint obi?

Bro, I’m guessing you were already working your bank job when this happened. Also, you need to understand that once someone takes money from you by force in a school setting, you’ve automatically become their personal ATM.

I love peace—but the moment you put your hand in my eye, that’s when you and I will wear the same pair of tros.

I was not party to the sitution you described, maybe giving the danfo driver a bloody nose was the only option you had...maybe not, but I can bet that didn't fix your car, and if you had met your match or better, I'm sure your car wouldn't have been the only thing that got bashed...keep on fighting danfo drivers with little to lose, can never be me though cheesy.

You need to understand that it's in your nature to fight, hence you'd handle things in this manner.

For some other persons, it's not in their nature to engage in physical violence and that thing you see as hand inside your eyes is something to laugh over or shrug off...and that fight you'd willingly partake in, they'd find any and every means to avoid it.

No vex—but I already mentioned earlier that you’re a far better human being than I am nah, so it’s amusing that you still feel the need to keep gloating.

Life—and conflict in general—comes with wins and losses. I don’t understand why you’re acting like you’ve just uncovered some profound truth I’m unaware of. Anyway, thanks for the advice, as if the situation I referenced didn’t happen 14 years ago.

What’s even more amusing is how you conveniently ignored a much more recent incident from last year, which I mentioned in one of the posts you quoted. Just like you’ve conveniently avoided responding or sharing your so-called knowledge on how to handle clear, scenario-based situations that require you to take a position—choosing instead to vaguely suggest “there are other ways” without offering anything concrete.

But don’t worry—if it ever comes down to it again, I won’t be the one handling it.

Still, it’s oddly comforting to know that people like you—who clearly have zero fight in them—still exist. 😂

It's not about being a better human being or not per se...there are people like you at the extreme of one end that'd always stand your ground in every situation, and others who progressively are less physically confrontational, all the way to being Monks or absolute pacifists. Our respective natures with their benefits and drawbacks, so while I'm more likely to get chanced by the Danfo Driver, you're more likely to get your jaw shifted.

I've not said I'm an absolute pacificst, but you seem to have an issue understanding that your response to those Danfo Driver situations is not the average response, and likely tends towards the extreme of responses and there are people that would never find themselves in those situations, and it doesn't make their approach always inferior to yours.

Our dearly beloved Seun can be a hard-nosed prick, but I'm willing to bet you won't see him involved in any sort of physical violence, no matter the situation...Bill Gates didn't build Microsoft by being a pushover, but I can bet he's of a mellow personality and you won't see him pin Danfo driver to the floor to ister punches. An Elon Musk might however have no issues trading punches if it came to it...different persons, all highly functioning, but with different approaches to physical altercations.

Sooner or later countries will come up with laws that will hammer heavily on people who use Ai to spread false info/fake news .

Something just needs to give .

I don’t want to imagine the kind of damage Ai can do in a place like Nigeria . For example if someone does an Ai video of a person they don’t like committing “blasphemy “ in the north , those guys would’ve burn down everywhere before confirming whether it’s Ai or not .
