Everything is in your Google . You can deleted messages, photos from your Google backup. I still have WhatsApp messages between me and my guys since 2016. I changed phones many times and deleted them myself but I still have them backed up to Google.

To be safe, if you have your WhatsApp settings to backup messages to Google and you want to delete a particular message, delete both from your WhatsApp app and the copy in your Google backup.
