dest4real:My second statement was based on your last question on transcript. if you dont have your transcript copy, your school can send it to Vetassess |

milliondollarma:Tricky! you have two options: 1. Get a skills assessment and select Electrical however your CDRs need to be detailed and reflect electrical and you have to provide employment documents as an Electrical engineer. It's a 50-50 chance that the assessor will accept due to your qualification OR 2. Get a skills assessment as a Mechanical Engineer and claim no experience point. Your spouse can start the APharmC assessment and write KAPS afterwards. |

milliondollarma: Engineers Australia. Kindly read up. But it will be hard bros. you cant have mech degree and apply for elect Engr experience. Kindly look for little mech related tasks and activities that you did in your elect Engr experience. also ad a bit of project management, and i think it would work. You will need to do career assessment with Engineers Australia and IELTS. So those are for your first tow tasks. All the best. |

tunlex01: Okay sir. Please what do they mean by certified copy? Do I need to take my transcript and certificate to court to swear an affidavit? Or the stamp on my transcripts from my Universities will be enough please? Thank you sir. |
blackbriar: 1:47am On Jan 21 |
dest4real: You need to make photocopies of your certificates. Then take the original and photocopies of your certificates to a court, federal, state or magistrate. The photocopies will be stamped with "certified true copy" on all pages. 2 Likes |

dest4real: You need to relax...I did not mention anything about certified copy in my message. I said transcipt copy which is a copy of your transcript. you dont need to certify documents for australian process except the assessing body specifically requires it; of which Vetassess does not. |
tunlex01(m): 2:03pm On Jan 21 |
blackbriar:you dont need any of these for this process. |

tunlex01:Good afternoon Tunlex, thank you for the work you do here. I'm planning on rewriting my IELTS in March has you've previously suggested, however I have a question on Work experience. I graduated from the University in 2019, but I started working at my current organization in December 2020, which means I've spent about 4 years and 1 month with them. Prior to that I served at the Neuropsychiatric hospital for one year between late 2019 and 2020, so I would like to know if my NYSC experience can count towards work experience, so I can get the points for 5 years. I'll also like to know how to evidence this. Thanks for your time. |

joefab:For which occupation as you assessing with EA? Not as Electrical Engineer though as that's a level 1 occupation and requires a Bachelor's degree. |
tunlex01(m): 2:28pm On Jan 27 |
HOMOTOYOSI10:Depending on the occupation you are assessing. Which occupation? |
HOMOTOYOSI10: 3:10pm On Jan 27 |
tunlex01:I looking to get assessed as a welfare worker, I have a background in social work, but the assessment fee for social work is quite steep. The downside to the other occupation is that I would be unable to apply for the skilled independent visa. |

Hello everyone, I’ve been following this page anonymously for some time and just decided to to share my challenge. Too Long? Please Read I graduated with a Computer Science degree from a university in Benin Republic in 2019. That same year, I began my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), which I completed in 2020. Before graduating, I had co-founded two tech companies in Nigeria and had been working on them since 2018—one as a tech outsourcing firm and the other as a product-based company. As self-funded startups, we prioritized paying our employees and covering operational expenses rather than paying ourselves regular salaries. Two years later, we dissolved our office space and transitioned to remote work. My degree program in Benin Republic was a three-year university program. After graduating, I moved to Vietnam in 2022, where I worked as an English teacher while still maintaining the tech products and services I had previously built. Additionally, I handled tech-related roles at the same English center where I worked. However, my contract letter only states “English Teacher” with no mention of my IT-related responsibilities. I am unsure whether they would be willing to update my job description if I request it. In 2024, I ed one of the biggest IT firms in Vietnam as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, where I have now worked for about a year. In the past, I attempted to apply for Master’s programs, but my applications were rejected due to my three-year degree from Benin Republic. When I consulted an immigration agent, they informed me that my degree would not be considered valid for assessment and suggested that I would need at least six years of work experience to compensate for the degree requirement. Challenges I’m Facing 1. Work experience with my co-founded companies in Nigeria: Since I was a co-founder, I do not have payslips or bank statements showing regular salaries, as we prioritized company growth over personal compensation until we eventually could not sustain the company. 2. Work experience with my first employer in Vietnam (English Center): While I can provide payslips and bank statements proving my employment, my contract only states “English Teacher”, despite my involvement in IT-related work for the company. Key Questions • Can I claim work experience from both the companies I co-founded in Nigeria and the English teaching center in Vietnam, even though I lack formal salary records and my contract letter from Vietnam doesn’t mention my tech role? • If I can claim these experiences, that would complete the required six years of work experience, but how do I address the issue of missing payslips, bank statements, and inaccurate job descriptions? • For my current IT job (1 year), I have proper payslips, bank statements, and a job description that align with my role. Additional Information • Age: 29 • Marital Status: Married (no children) • Wife: Undergraduate, also living in Vietnam • Current Tech Role: Cloud/DevOps Engineer • Previous Tech Experience In Addition To The Afformentioned: Worked as a Security Analyst for four months in a top MSSP in Lagos in 2022, before moving to Vietnam. I’d really appreciate advice from experienced professionals who have navigated similar challenges. Any guidance would be invaluable. |

Hello guys. I own a bouncers security start up here in naija but my aunt in Texas advised me to migrate to Australia. Honestly I don't know a thing about moving to Australia. So pls guys how do I migrate to Australia as a professional bouncer and crowd control expert. And how fair are my chances of making it over there ? Pls I'll appreciate all your opinions and insights and even the most little of information you have, kindly drop it here. Thanks |
tunlex01(m): 1:00pm On Jan 29 |
HOMOTOYOSI10:You should be able to add the NYSC expereince as long as you have documents to prove the period. Also, yourr point will continue to increase as long as you are in that employment |

DevSecOps: 1. No. ACS requires 6 years experience in your case which you must also provide at least 2 payment evidence which you don't have 2. Sadly, ACS will not assess you without all the requirements being met. In your case, you ae better of on a study visa to Australia to upgrade your qualification or take a part time masters in Vietnam. |
tunlex01(m): 1:10pm On Jan 29 |
stunnert:Unfortunately, bouncer or crowd control is not considered a skilled occupation for any of the skilled visa. |
stunnert(m): 2:00pm On Jan 29 |
tunlex01: Thanks man. Can you drop the link to where I can see all the skilled occupation available for the skilled visa |
DevSecOps: 5:59pm On Jan 29 |
tunlex01: Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my story. I have two questions: 1. You mentioned needing two forms of payment evidence, are the payslips and a bank statement okay, or do I need separate evidence for each company I’ve worked for? Also, how far back should I provide statements and payslips—just one year, or the entire period of employment? 2. Studying in Australia is too expensive, so I’m considering a part-time Master’s in Vietnam. Would my Bachelor’s degree plus this new Master’s qualify for the application? And how is work experience calculated—if I get my Master’s in 2027 and have been employed at a tech company since 2024 (with payslips and statements), does my eligible work experience start before or only after completing the Master’s? |

DevSecOps: 1. Payslip and bank statement are enough for ACS assessment. You will need to provide for each employer. Bank statement - you will need to provide for ALL the years covering your salary payment. Payslip - 4 per year (1 per quarter) will be good for each of the year Must have 2 payment evidence for all the 6 years. (please count the dates (including dys/month) and ensure they are 6 or more years. 2. Your bachelors and masters in a related course will get the experience requirement reduced to 2 years (if the masters is considered AQF masters) or 2 or 4 years (if the Vietnam masters is considered AQF Bachelors or Graduate diploma) Your previous experience will still count apart from the usual deduction of 2 or 4 depending on the AQF of the new masters. 1 Like |

malakiMal:You can assess an ACS occupation if you have at least 2 payment evidnece for each of the employer you worked with. you only need to have a minimum of 2 years experience due to your qualifications from the UK and Canada. Your chances are good (not great due to the competition) but you may be able/lucky to get 189, 190 or 491 due to age and your overall points. |
DevSecOps: 1:39pm On Jan 30 |
tunlex01: Thanks so much for your detailed responses. I really appreciate. I think I need to get ACS assessment of my degree first. If it’s recognized , then I just need extra 1 year to get the required 2 years experience with Payment evidence. How competitive is my field tho? Any idea ? Cloud DevOps engineer / security engineer. Age is 29 Edited: also, can I my document to ACS for assessment to actually get ACS evaluation, even tho the work experience isn’t upto the expected number of years yet? I just want to hear from them directly if it’s recognized or not. |
tunlex01(m): 4:42am On Feb 01 |
DevSecOps:ACS does not do qualification assessment for non-australian qualification. So you cannot do degree first. Assessment covers both qualification and experience (combined) and you must meet the requirements before submitting. Any IT occupation in Australia is competitive at the moment. you can submit, ACS will chop your money and slam you with a negative assessment if you applied without meeting their requirements. |
DevSecOps: 11:58am On Feb 01 |
tunlex01: Okay. Thanks. It’s understood now. So I have to wait to meet all the necessary requirements before I apply. Since IT is competitive, by the time I complete my master’s degree and gain either 2 or 4 years of additional work experience, I may no longer have an age advantage. How competitive is nursing, though? My wife is an undergraduate nursing student here and will be finishing her studies soon. She will be 27 by the time she graduates, including the required 2 years of work experience. Maybe she could be the principal applicant, and I could her application. |
tunlex01(m): 12:35pm On Feb 03 |
DevSecOps:Nursing is still competitive but the demand is higher than supply of nurses so you can always get a position, however if she's not studying in UK, Canada, US or Ireland, then she will need to still go throught the process of becoming ed in Australia before doing skilled migration. |
DevSecOps: 9:23am On Feb 04 |
tunlex01: Thank you so much. Yes, the NCLEX exam. |
