The core North will receive allocations from this money? What did they contribute?
What did u contribute from oil in Nigeria Delta. The north have been ing Nigeria agriculturally. Mind you northerners also used that port and where taxed as well.

Separation is a must from core North. We will charge you to use the ports and keep all the profits for ourselves. No sharing with parasites. Keep your agricultural produce in core north. We don’t want.

For those bulaabaa followers who always want to know what the east contributes, this is one out of many. Almost 70% of containers that are imported into this country, go to the east. The remaining 30% to 40% go to Lagos and the rest of the country. If you take into consideration the stranglehold the easterners have on trade in this country, especially in Lagos, Abuja and Kano, it means that close to 80 to 90% of containers that land in different ports in Nigeria, were ordered by our ebullient brothers from the land of the rising sun.

Obviously what that means is that almost all the trillions generated through import tariffs at the sea ports across the country, come from these Nnamdi kanu brothers. These are the trillions shared every months end, since almost all petrodollars earned from crude exports, go into debts servicing. Again , most of those crude exports come from the former Eastern Nigeria!

The igbos need to be respected in this country. I wanted to say "should be worshipped". While these hardworking set of people are busy generating trillions for tinubus istrative owanbe, the agbadorians in power are busy putting all sorts of impediments on their business path. That Nigerian/West African ports are active, boils down to the doggedness of these people
nobody as them to import to lagos, Anambra river is there

And we keep on borrowing. I wonder how this country is run. FIRS, Customs, Immigration, NPA are all generating trillions every year. Where is this money going for God sake and we keep on borrowing.

The civil service is mainly part of the problem.
Every president in power will enrol everyone in his village into what they call "juicy federal government pensionable jobs". Basically they have saddled the federal service with more manpower than it needs in 20 lifetimes. This is why they can not implement the Orasanye reports. How many ministers do we have now? In how many ministries? Then hubdreds of agencies. The result?

The government is now paying billions as salary every year, and that balloons the recurrent expenditures. Billions on estacodes too. There are ministries where you have more drivers and cleaners than cars and rooms. Everyone has been lumped into the work force either for regional, ethnic, religious or partisan reasons. Some employees seldom come to the office but at month ends, they are credited with billions. So more than 2/3 of government expenditure goes through this means.

The number one aim of customs is to facilitate trade.

Anything else is secondary.

Record breaking revenues due to increase in the import duties of basic products is not the flex tinubu thinks it is.

They are indirectly taxing the masses who will inevitably pay for the high cost of those goods.

This is another area of the economy that needs to be divested. Ships should be berthed at ports closest to the region that holds the goods they convey. Doing this will decongest Lagos and stimulate growth in other states. The federal government have a huge role to play on this issue.

Custom that is suppose to facilitate trade is busy doing the opposite and turns herself to a money making venture
