From Ikorodu To Morocco: My Journey For Greener Pastures (31141 Views)
yungchop: 9:07pm On Nov 27, 2024 |
The whole of this story is bullshit. This person na never seen the border before. I also embarked on this journey about two years ago, was heading to morroco but I'm settled in Mauritania now. The very first lie from the OP is when he said he was in kano, then ed through Maiduguri to get to Agadez. Bro, that's a bloody lie. The route is Kano -- Katsina(Jibya border) -- Niger republic (dosso to maradi then to Niamey) -- Burkina Faso -- Mali then from Mali to Mauritania ( visa on arrival ) at the Goggi border. If you have the morroco visa then you can proceed from Mauritania to morroco but if you don't then Mauritania is your last destination that's how far your port can take you except if you want to try the desert and believe me you don't even want to try it. Some people might decide to by Mauritania and take the Mali to Algeria to Morroco route but I don't think the USA mexico border is as rough and tight as the border between Algeria and Morroco, don't risk your life. Some people might decide to enter Senegal from Mali and enter Mauritania from the rosso border in Senegal, anything goes here. It's not strict like the other border. If you're in Lagos just get to Cotonou, get a bus from Cotonou to bamako, then from bamako to Nouakchott.. easy as that. Bro, you didn't spend up to two million for this trip. You didn't even spend more than 600k naira max. It's now that cfa has gone up that you need about a million naira to get into Mauritania. Guys guess what? There's direct marcopolo buses from Kano Nigeria to Nouakchott Mauritania. The last time I took it, it was around 100k cfa, that's like late 2022 or so. I'm not saying you should travel and stuffs, I'm only trying to dispute the fact that you painted the whole journey as an evil thing to do. People are exposed now and are making a living in other west African countries Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania etc. What ever works for you. Also, I won't reply any question regarding, can you put me through the journey bla bla bla 4 Likes |

Wonder why people are saying it's a lie. One of my mum's former tenants made this kain waka about 10years back or so Never made it back alive. He told my mum he was going to Abuja left his wife and a young boy, less than 2 at that time. Some months later he called us that and the code was a Libyan number, I was shocked Libya, Libya ke. Libya post gadaffi? Things seemed to be fine I guess about a year or so we heared he was dead, that was around 2014. They buried him there, they sent pictures of all. His son in in secondary school now a splitting image of the father, and his wife just remarried this year. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Sad to read, but I'm not surprised though. @poster, I'm currently in Morocco for a short business visit. If you know any of those girls trapped and how to reach them, please send me a pm. I'll involve the Morrocan police and Nigerian embassy in Rabat to come to their rescue. 9 Likes 1 Share |

chatinent: Me too I'm shocked O. The op writes well and even have 2M to spend, and somehow, fell for this? If your port doesn't take you there without a visa, don't go. That's the first line of your safety you must not cross. You can't break established rules and surprised you're suffering. What do you expect? It's inevitable. At least he came back alive and with contentment. Lots of people will never appreciate their level until they experience something worse. 1 Like 1 Share |

Op your story is not adding up o. From Kano to Agadez, you must go through Katsina, so why through Maiduguri? Especially when Nigerians don't need a visa to enter Niger republic? 1 Like |

It's surprising how often people jump at opportunities abroad without proper research. Well, lessons are learned.

How can one start a blog? Am good in sports(football) niche. IdeasPro: 1 Like |
IdeasPro(m): 12:31pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Love800:It depends on your budget and/or willing to invest to a start. Options are: 1. Totally free route using free blogs such as Blogger dot com or WordPress dot com. But you get sub domain to use which is not too professional e.g. https : // yoursubdomain . . com 2. Semi free start up using custom domain with free hosting. That is, a domain name for $10 and about that same amount to renew per year and configure it to free web hosting e.g. https: // yourdomainname . com. 3. a domain name and use self hosted WordPress blog where you've to pay for website hosting per year. It cost about $100 or less to tow this route. But it is the most rewarding because you assume landlord status while (1) and (2) above is like a tenant's status. Options to monetize your blog is wide and flexible with option (3). But dollar exchange rate can be a problem now if you're on a tight budget and not willing to make sacrifice and invest forward. I hope it helps. You can do your due diligence as well |

DomPerignon: Those routes mentioned are probably well policed, so ing there will require proper documentation/visa which I am sure OP didnt have. |

Alright. So the option three(3) is the best one? I will like to start with option three(3). The $100 you said i will use to start, how much is it in nigerian currency? Will someone help me to open or create this blog, then afterwards i will start using it? How will i actually make money from blog? IdeasPro: |
IdeasPro(m): 10:18pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Love800:Yes, option 3 is the best. The exchange rate is what scares new bloggers now. When it was $1/N500, you'll be looking at N50K as start up capital. But at $1/N1700, that is huge investment for a business you may not be confident about. Creating a blog can be done by you with guidance. Every set up is done by you. So, you've every business information to yourself. You're not depending on somebody to get along. How much money you'll make is a function of your effort, energy and determination really. And one more thing, you must be a good writer to excel in this business without spending additional money to hire freelance content writers to write for you consistently. But the returns can be mind boggling if you know what I mean. If you're not a good writer and not willing to learn as well, blogging is not for you |
IdeasPro(m): 11:23pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
Love800:I did a quick search right now to see if there is cheaper but reliable web hosting company to start with instead of the big ones. With less than $30 you can get a domain name and cheap web hosting. This is less than N50K cash investment. You set up your blog website yourself with our training or go online to get free tutorials on how to do it if you are not a newbie. But our digital marketing training comes at a price. We're not heavily doing training anymore but investing the time to earn more money in dollars instead of chasing Kobo Kobo in Nigeria. |

PapaNnamdi: Cross enter Europe from Morocco how? From where? With which money? You realise there is a ocean separating Morocco and Europe right? Also, Moroccans needs a visa to enter Europe, so how exactly will he cross? When people say "see Morocco see Spain", they are referring to the two Spanish enclave (Ceuta and Melilla) in the Moroccan Tetouan province. Yes, You can walk from Morocco to these two Spanish cities, and you're officially in Spain. But it's heavily guarded and you can't enter without visa. But let's assume you find your way inside Ceuta or Melilla, then you have another problem. You can't enter into mainland Spain because these two enclaves have been excluded from the Schengen agreement. , Which means you'll undergo border checks like you're traveling to another country. Your visa, port will be checked, and if you don't have it, you're basically still in the African continent, though you're in the territory politically controlled by Spain. But if you have special skills in ocean swimming, then feel free to swim through the strait of Gilbratar and cross into Spain, it's just about 15km long. 6 Likes |
