Was wondering same.....why would someone who is from Gambia end up in Niger to get to Morocco.....also,how can a man in distress be able to concern himself with the problems of not one but several ladies and you were able to help them all escape commando style.

Human trafficking. It might not be possible to go the shorter route however, there's a trans African route already mapped out where the borders are porous.
My understanding.

From Kano to Maiduguri to connect to Agadez when you can just veer through Katsina
I realized he was telling false story, when he said; he ed through Kano then maiduguri. I was wondering if he was lost or he divided to just explore Maiduguri.

Lessons learnt the hard way. You should have traveled to Senegal by legit means as ecowas citizen no hassles. From there enter Morocco. It would have saved you a whole lot

Lessons Learned

My journey taught me that not all opportunities are real. Sometimes, the dream of greener pastures can turn into a nightmare. If you’re considering leaving Nigeria, please do your research and ensure your plans are legitimate. Don’t let desperation cloud your judgment.

I hope my story saves someone from making the same mistake.

Baffling,
Algeria dey call others black slave?

Interesting ooo

Good write up,

So sad to hear about those trapped there,

I wonder if NIDCOM can help you in any way

If you intend relocating from Nigeria, any other destination aside the western countries is not worth it.

It's not the destination that's the problem, it's the means.

Relocate legally and you have nothing to fear.

By now you should have guessed correctly that the op is either a mad person or a government propaganda agent, one of many who roam daily on Nairaland dishing out propaganda with written AI content to either whitewash Tinubu's government or discourage people from fleeing from the poverty inducing istration of Tinubu.

TLDR;

The story is fake and generated by AI

I am not here to share any story with you, but to advice you to meet people who have gone that route.

Trust me, your life and orientation can NEVER be like a normal human being again even though you act to be sane. Those experiences will always hunt you.

It’s damn wild out there. No emotions, tears or pity.

It does not matter if you believe it or not when people speak their truth it not about you.

Stupidity is a warrior who goes to war he cannot win. One has to know when it is time to give up to fight another day or in another way.

I don't believe this story,

Getting to Morocco against all odds should further boost your zeal to cross to Europe, but you saying you returned back to Nigeria by yourself, makes me doubt this story,
It's either it's made up
Or you are not a fighter

But come to think of it,

If morroco was the destination to hustle,Morocco should never be difficult to access, why all these hurdles,

Why though dessert?

You would get to Morocco easily through Senegal to Mauritania and then western Sahara.....the other route is through mali which is still closer than Niger.

Agadez is a transit point for those who want to get to Europe using the desert routes. In most cases they go via Algeria or Libya
his destination is Morocco which is further west....the Libya route is usually for those who want to get to Italy.

His grammar is too good to make the story true. He is more of a content creator, a fiction story writer than an adventuror. He didn't step out of his town at all.

APC sponsored and packaged hogwash to discourage japagerians and force them to remain in the country and suffer with them. Do you think the dollar hike is not also part of the plan? The bloodsucking demon in Aso Rock, his tribesmen ing him and his e-rats will all die miserably.

Very very doubtful, if an armed robber can even search a baby's diaper, how were they not able to see the alleged $200 he kept in his socks?

Also, as some other poster here right pointed out, how did he raise enough money doing menial jobs in between begging for food to make the journey back? Same amount would have got him on a boat to Spain.

The OP is full of shit.

They have abolished slavery down there.

It's still far better than crossing the heart of the Sahara in what is ALQIM, ISIS and Bedouin territory.

Lol 😅 dey play

What do you mean by "they have abolished slavery down there"?
Do you think we're talking about 15th century to 20th century slavery?

His cousin called him and said in Morocco he can make big money hustling. The destination was always Morocco and nowhere else. He got to the paradise Morocco and discovered it was really not a paradise but a nightmare so he returned home

Leave that agege weed alone bro

What do you know about life?

That few people succeed down a perilous route doesn't mean several others didn't fail or lose their lives.

Quit confusing luck with determination or expertise.

Over 70% of those who take illegal desert routes never survive to tell the tale... Among those that make it into Europe, some still end up deported.

Things are bad in Naija, agreed! But, not to the extent of seeking greener pastures through dangerous and illegal routes.

You fail to realize that, playing safe all your life won't stop you from dying,
Shiiit he may die in his sleep tomorrow after coming home to his wife because he is afraid of loosing his life in Morocco,

A cousin of mine faced exactly same experience. He is back now. Was able to rebuild his life from scratch. Started a business, got married, bought a car and built a little house for himself. When he returned initially, I couldn't recognised him. He was so lean and dark but now he is back to his ebullient self.
Not everything is a lie.
He should never have come back

Your trouble started when a relative ed you and told you about beautiful opportunities in Morocco. So my question is this, what have you done to that relative because he was actually the one who trafficked you.

It just beats me how you can in such a broad stroke categorize the zillions of people and zillions of different possible scenarios in these matters. That alone is sifficient to show you dont think deeply.

If you live long enough, you will realize some actions do not require deep thinking,
Xwizard: 4:22pm On Nov 27, 2024
here are my conclusions below

1. You are telling a lie
2. You have not deceived me
3. Give us details how you came back and how long it takes you.
4. Share more light on how your agent got his share from you.
5. Did you finally meet your brother in the said Morocco?

For anyone that want to leave this country, pls don’t ever hesitate but if only you have surviving funds and legit means.

Note: many Nigerians are now suffering and broke in disporal, don’t be deceived by the pictures they take daily. Whoever wants to help will send you funds first to calm your nerves, then start working on your documents.

Op is a terrible liar, and forgot to understand today Nigerians are now intelligent especially Nairalanders.
