Quick question. Is what we call crayfish really crayfish?
Is that not Shrimp?
The first 2 which we use to cook are shrimp while the last one is crayfish.
Why do we always give things the wrong names
The last picture is a lobster
The first 2 are crayfish/prawn
Shrimps are the bigger one 😂

Haaaa cheesy
Even you are confused too.

Prawn and shrimp look alike so much but you will spot the difference when you see them
Crayfish and lobster can be termed the same. Eg, in Australia its called crayfish while in america it is lobster. Tastes are slightly different. You know these 2 by their first 2 feet that look like claw.
Also you don't eat the head of these two. But as per shrimp and prawn, you eat all.
Prawn's body is straighter than shrimp that mostly have curved body.

If you buy mixed seafood, you will recognise them immediately

That's boiled crayfish. Looks nothing like what we call crayfish.
The video is boiled lobster from America. The same. Biologists will spot the difference
Sometimes when you buy Nigerian crayfish, you will see all these.

Noodles. Eggs.

Here he goes again with 3 eggs.🤣

Your noodles looks well prepared.

You have to go and learn food presentation and garnishing.

That's what's remaining.

Nice meal !

I know. They are extremely confusing considering we have already giving them the wrong names in naija.
It's just like calling mackerel fish titus. Very confusing when u are told titus is not the name cheesy

I don't know how we do these things.

I added some curry when I was boiling it, that’s why it’s yellowish. I made it in a big pot with all the veggies left in the fridge that I needed to use up but it’s very similar to fried rice.

You got to love the simplicity of the Mediterranean cuisine. What is this thing in the middle on top?

Yep always simple and refreshing.

On top is the type of feta cheese I used. I don’t really like plain feta cheese. So I got this pre-seasoned from the Turkish store.

Not really but I had a burger with goat cheese in Spain once and it was the best burger ever. It was with caramalized onions and a special kind of bun. I have tried to remake it but it was not the same.

I didn’t either until I tried this one blueberry goat cheese from Trader Joe’s. I don’t know if it’s available online but it converted me.
