Goat meat with the skin on, not the UK version. I heard there is a place in Peckham where they sell skin on goat meat, but I have never had the time to investigate.

That has to be an underground market, they consider it illegal; I now buy meat directly from the abbatoir in Romford, the taste is so different from the ones those mallams sell in shops. Luckily I stumbled on naija pomo in a shop in gravesend. Pomo to muta!

The law may have changed on this. My local shop in Kent has skin-on goatmeat . It's got fufu too.
I recommend Kent to anyone looking for diversity.

Thanks for the well detailed post.
Do you think it’s smart to invest outside US? I’ve always been putting money aside working with US dominated index funds .

With low cost global funds , I have VUSA , VOO on T212 and VUSA did 15% gain this year which undoubtedly quite astonishing.

Would you prefer VUSD to VUSA to this depends on aggressive you want to go with your investment approach.

Again many thanks for your contribution and looking forward to hearing from you.

Generally, the US vs global market moves in ebbs and flows with one outperoming and the other lagging until they swap.
The US markets have been astonishingly strong over the last decade but how long that dominance would continue for is uncertain moreso after such strong growth.
While still a good option, buying only US means less diversification and you being fully exposed to any downside there.

A global or developed world index would have about 60% US exposure so the gains from the US would feed through. The caveat here is that in certain things, the rich (US) only get richer.

There shouldn't be a longterm difference between VUSD and VUSA hence worth going for that which is straightforward.

I came across an article recently which backtested a global index and a US only index over the last century. Oddly, the global index performed better as it had less downside risk (usual caveat).

Hey Bro, did you take a bus from Tirana to Sarande? If so, how much and how long was the journey. Also, how the weather dey for that side?
Hi Chief, no sir, we didn't take a bus.

we rented a car, it cost 25 a day. it can be lesser depending on period

I think about 4 hours from Tirana, but we didn't go from Albania, we went from Ohrid, Macedonia. but from Sarande back to Tirana it took us about 3 and half without stops.

the weather wasn't bad high of 17 and low of 12 late November (you know compared to UK, this weather is very good).

you will definitely enjoy driving tbh, especially if you are going with people. when i checked price for bus it showed like 35-50 euros for return ticket and they were going once a day.

I’m hoping to get some advice on flying to Nigeria with KLM for someone who’s got a skilled worker visa. Is a transit visa still necessary for this trip? If it is, could anyone who’s been through this process share some tips on how to handle it? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I was shocked when I read that story on BBC website. £11K a month he is getting for round the clock care and he was able to save 50K for holidays with his two PAs. No wonder city councils are going broke. Shocked !!

Even when you become British, if you are not already, you will still not be entitled to any benefits. You will also be paying way more tax as your salary would have increased so much. So, it a no win situation.

Hello All,

I need your guidance. I'm currently in the UK via the graduate route. My family and I applied for our post graduate visa by December last year (our visas expired on Jan 17 this year).

We have received a couple of emails from UK gov asking us to my son’s biometrics because it wasn't captured during the visa application process done at home as he was 9 years old so we had his biometrics done via the app.

The issue is that I did the data capturing, filled the form and I know for a fact that I ed all the required documents. In addition, I have logged into his several times and I'm unable to anything else as the biometrics segment is marked as ‘completed’.

I have sent numerous emails to a seemingly unattended e-mail address and attached my son’s biometric data. This Friday makes it 8 weeks since we applied and I have no idea what to do anymore. I don't know if anyone else has experienced a similar occurrence, I'd be grateful of you can advise how you navigated it.

Also, any guidance would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

i the action of the council to take back some of the money. This is just insane. He is even arguing that the council should pay for his PAs to accompanying him on holiday. He saved £50k but refused to use part of that money to pay for his PAs.

The benefit system in this country is one of the biggest scam ever

Like dupyshoo said...even as a citizen working full time you are not entitled to very little.
