Moving forward, I have some questions about proof of English for my Skilled Worker Visa application as a software developer. While I've requested a letter of English proficiency from my university, I'm concerned about the turnaround time. Additionally, I haven't been able to find any IELTS UKVI test dates near me.

With that in mind, I have two questions:

1. Can I use the IELTS UKVI Academic test to meet the English language requirement for my Skilled Worker Visa application?
2. Are there any alternative English language tests accepted for Skilled Worker Visa applications that might have shorter waiting times for appointments?

Search for Pearson Test of English, I think it is faster, see if you can use it.

Hello everyone. Pls on average, how long does it take to get a decision if applying for a visa switch from a student dependant visa to another category within the uk? Bearing in mind the rules coming into effect by March, can I opt for priority application within the uk as well?

You can use IELTS UKVI Academic. as long as the IELTS has UKVI, it’s accepted . Alternatively, you can also use Pearson UKVI academic

You can do the PTE academics UKVI instead.

It is accepted in US ,Canada, Australia, and other countries.

I find it far easier to than IELTS. with about 2-3 days YouTube videos you should be good.

It is purely computer based.

Your test result comes out in about 2 hrs .

Some stations allow you to travel or may sell you full price ticket but ask you to send the ticket and your Railcard to the customer service. They will refund you excess you paid for the ticket.
