[quote author=RenaissanceGuy post=128185712]In developed countries, this will only be making news if the ship was constructed by that country. But no, we can't even construct a fishing boat ![]() That is developed countries... we are underdeveloped for now, that is why we are celebrating the arrival. Which one have you constructed? |

May GOD continue to bless LAGOS state RenaissanceGuy: I don't know which developed country you mean but the much I know, every country celebrate a milestone achieved by their new project. A new airport celebrate the arrival of the first aircraft and in the same vein, the arrival of biggest one to have ever visited it makes the news too. IT may not be global report but the state it happens is provided the record by the local media spaces. Same applies to new seaport. It's a global thing and what's more? If any ship berth there (I mean at LEKKI deep seaport)that's the largest any African port has seen, it's not merely going to be a local record but would also get a space in the GWR irrespective of where the ship must've been built. In such record, the ship's manufacturer, the departure port and the arrival port would all get HONOURABLE mention. |
