Awesome.

The management of the free trade zone/Nigeria maritime association should look into the environmental aspect of this new seaport.

The should not allow discharge of ballast water by ships in the area, except they have Ballast water management system installed and it in used to avoid the introduction of invasive species like zoo plankton, Zebra mussels, Vibrio Cholera that would contaminate the environment or prey on fishes around the coastal environment.

Majority of Port around the world are forcing large cargo ships to make use of ballast water management system to treat intake water and Port authority check always before those ships can discharge at berth.

The free trade zone constituents lots of environmental challenges especially with the refinery (flare systems), I hope the Lagos state government would enact a strict measures in protecting the free trade zone.

It's quite unfortunate lots of masses are moving to such places in the name of building estate and houses instead of them to be far away from that environment due to the hazardous nature of such a complex chemical process, refinery and fertilizer plus other industries there.

The discharge of Nox would be much, and this would definitely affect the health.

But hey We Nigerians are ignorant, we just want to cash out from a new environment that houses the largest single train refinery.

It's quite unfortunate sha

Naira will continue to fall as long as our politicians continue to embezzle the treasury with carelessness, by not utilising the little money will make as a country, do you think nigeria is rich? The answer is NO but Nigeria has potentials to be rich which I agree, Nigeria budget is not upto a region in which is like a state in nigeria. What a serious govt need to do is to reduce all avenue of corruption in wasteful manners, and also try to be creative in generating more revenue to the economy, by doing this, there will be more productions enough for both local and foreign demands and consumptions with this, the naira will be stabilised.

Very rich people are often very simple and humble in carriage and appearance.

If you see a very aggressive and arrogant man, often, he has not gathered much.

In developed countries, this will only be making news if the ship was constructed by that country. But no, we can't even construct a fishing boat grin. How do you feel comfortable celebrating such mundane things as this??

MODIFIED: The media frenzy is not worth it. Africa should grow up and stop allowing "oyigbo" to use their head.

Ok. Hope the imported vessels = or < than the exported vessels in return? If not more debts.

We must, as citizens of Nigeria, begin to ask our governors their score card at the end of every year and stop playing petty and tribal politics. Lagos state has invested so much on security and integration that development has turned the state to its beautiful bride. More revenues from every corner without waiting for allocation from the center.

These people no mind bring empty containers just to chase Claut. If they can commission unfinished refinery, hired fake bishops and paint another country's aeroplane green. Then what they can't do doesn't exist.
