I'm eligible for the IW, I need guideline on how to go by it. I'm logged into my cgi page. Do I have to go about the new application/schedule application? I can't find "renew my appointment", Please help.

I need to do that asap but all I can find here is the regular way of finding dates and all, nothing to show interview waiver. Hello.

If you have an existing appointment, cancel it, then click on schedule new appointment. If you didn't have an appointment before, just click on new appointment, and then answer the questions that follow. If you answer correctly and qualify for an IW, you will be able to pick a date if dates are available. Good luck.

I already have an existing appointment which will come up early next month with my wife and two kids but we had another baby last year which I haven’t added as dependent yet . Don’t cancel your appointment. There are no IW dates for now.

Call the center for info on how to add your baby to the appointment

Plus she’s still very young to stay alone inside the car with any siblings . What do you advise me to do?

No disrespect, but some questions that are asked here defy logic. So you want someone to tell you how to handle your one-month old baby?

Your baby won’t be part of this application. Apply for you and your wife alone…if you get the visa, you can apply for her separately in the near future

Hello house.
I’m applying for USA visit visa.
My plan date of travel is October 2022
but my port will expire Dec 2022
My interview date is June 2022
I’d like to ask hope am not applying too early because I felt it shouldn’t be a problem since I won’t still be traveling until the October if given the privilege to visit the States.
Do I have to apply for a new port or am I still good to attend my interview with my current port.

It is not too early. You need to buy tickets in advance. On your port, Nigeria is among the list of countries that has 6months grace after port expiration. This is valid when your travel date is within your port validity date. See attachments for details.

You need to change the DS160 location first...then use the update profile option on the interview portal...

You are not doing anything wrong as you can't create a new profile now because they have locked their system to do so. You will have to wait till its unlocked by them which means checking from time to time or in the alternative call the help desk to make a complain maybe they can help.

Same here. My March date has been rescheduled to December ��� I've sent an email. Because I was eligible for IW, but now I'm not.

Maybe you can request Emergency Travel.

Simple: to the interview portal, cancel her current appointment and schedule a IW appointment for her. However, there are no IW dates currently and you need to be sure she meets the conditions (whether her previous visa expired within the last 24 months etc)

Also IW was for those whose appointments were between Feb and October.

Please someone tell me what to do next, i submitted my application since March 2021, got January 6th for interview only to get to December the consulate lagos rescheduled me for march 2nd, i was ok with it since my traveling itinerary is April, yesterday i got a mail that i have been rescheduled for October 5th, i am soooo broken. Pls advice, what do i do next? If i dont get to travel in april then the all purpose is a waste. I applied with my kids and we are to attend an event. Pls advice.

But why do they keep changing the dates? Or is it agents who are getting paid to get appointments that are behind this

I just called them. They said the embassy rescheduled all March appointments and they have been getting calls all day about the issue. And that the embassy reserves the right to cancel appointments.

I should've just done interview waiver when it was opened. I have a trip planned so didn't want to have my port held for upto 2mths. I just hope they extend interview waiver to Dec appointments.

I you saying it wasn’t wise to leave one’s port with them for 2 months when one has an interview date within February to April. No one expected the IW fast processing though…one can’t predict these things…

Hopefully March dates for IW will come up soon…fingers crossed.

They are all gone. The speed with which those appointments were snatched ehnn…close to 70 appointments, all gone in 3 mins.

Gtbank receipt, DS160 confirmation page, 2 port size photos and ordinary port ( i took my expired port as well because it had the expired visa in it). The security men at the embassy will only look at the documents and collect your port + port size photo. port was returned in 7 days
