I have told you to stop using your precarious situation to be judging others. That you are suffering don't mean others are suffering too
you're also suffering and smiling

Good.
Just like we complain about the poor state of public school and healthcare systems. People still graduate from these schools to become professionals like doctors, engineers, dentists, pharmacists, business s, geoscientists, lab scientists, economists..

People like us never got the privilege to attend any private school. It was public/government schools through out. Therefore, some people would start their lives with government schools and end it with government jobs with no connection. If na your destiny, na so eh go be.
you're very smart

Again, i am going to ask you. Do you think the whole 2,130 slots would be on connection?
It is one thing to be a realist and another thing to be optimistic. They are going to shortlist both the people with connection and those without for the Computer-based-Test(CBT).
Are you aware most without connections will that test and eventually get these positions. Are you also forgetting that not everyone with connection would get a slot.

Regardless of our situation, we need to be hopeful. Las las both people with and without connection go get these 2,130 slots. After stating reality, learn to encourage people. Thank you.
you said it all

Why do most Nigerians like asking for help once they see someone spends hugely?
What if the spending/expenditure has exhausted the person's savings??

We always believe people spend more because they still have more, and that's very wrong!

You buy or build a costly house now, Nigerians will want you to drop something; you buy an expensive car, they'll want you to celebrate it/water the ground for them; you spend hugely on a plot of land, they'll want you to settle them; you spend a crazy amount processing a successful visa, ohooo, you must declare drinks for guys!

No one wants to ask if the person still has any kobo remaining!

Where did we get this mindset from?
Nawaoo! It's quite sad.
stop being stingy uncle people are suffering

The latest news now is that is the lists have already been compiled and completed ready to be released and published online . And the chairman said that they should debunk the news circulating in that it’s 10000 vacancies available saying it’s just 2130 slots available for positions .
nice to hear sth at least...

I'm an Indian from India. I don't get what this entire thread is about. India's per capita GDP is $2880 while Nigeria's is $1621 So no wonder some places in Nigeria look a good as some places in India.

Add to it the corruption in the Municipal Corporations in India and the fact that we have millions of immigrants flooding into Delhi every year and its no wonder that the city's infrastructure can't always keep pace.

Keep in mind, this city has almost as much GDP as entire Nigeria. So the comparison is a bit off....

Reason India is hyped up is because it is the fastest growing major economy on the planet, just overtook Japan this year, will overtake next year.

And the other reason India is hyped up is because of Indian technology. A small example of the same, look at how 5G rollout in India was much faster and more widespread than even Europe. And then go read about how India is among the top nations that are doing R & D and owning intellectual property in 6G technologies like THz communications. Or look at Indian advancements in Supercomputing, Quantum Key Encryption, Hyperspectral Imaging, deep sea mining, etc. Indian firms are getting contracts from US military these days, like Pixxel aerospace that got contract for Hyperspectral imaging payloads that Pixxel made with Indian technology.

Over 450,000 Nigerians Jostle For 10,000 FG Jobs
Jun 3, 2025

No fewer than 450,000 Nigerians have applied for Federal Government jobs, The PUNCH has learnt.

In January 2025, the Federal Government, through the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), announced the commencement of recruitment into various positions within the civil service.

A newspaper advertorial signed by the Director of Recruitment and Appointment, Ogaba Ede, listed over 70 vacant positions, including istrative Officer, Programme Analyst, Procurement Officer, Senior Computer Engineer, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Education Officer, and Foreign Affairs Officer.

A statement by the Head of Press and Public Relations at the FCSC, Taiwo Hassan, disclosed that only eligible Nigerians could apply through the commission’s official portal.

The application deadline, initially fixed for 10th March, was later extended to 17th March 2025. However, many applicants reported difficulties accessing the portal during the registration process.

Providing an update on the exercise, a senior commission official, who was not authorised to speak publicly, confirmed that the number of available positions was fewer than 10,000.

“Over 450,000 applied for the last recruitment exercise. We have fewer than 10,000 vacancies. Only shortlisted candidates will be ed. Anyone who does not receive a message did not make the shortlist.

They will write a Computer-Based Test in their respective states. There will be no rescheduling, and results will be available immediately after the exams,” the official said.

When ed, the FCSC spokesperson said the commission would release further information on the recruitment exercise in due course.

And some people got richer, that's life for you. People's financial status don't always remain constant. This constant rhetoric that people are too poor to buy this or that is getting boring. There will always be people too poor to buy stuff and people comfortable enough to buy same stuff regardless which president is in power.
people are more poorer now than anytime in history of this country. Under this clueless istration %80 of Muslims can't afford to buy ram this year
