The 2021 edition of the annual Kingdom Power and Glory World Conference of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre has ended.
The 2021 edition of the convention with the theme, Exceeding abundant Grace coincides with the 25th anniversary of the ministry.

The event, which kicked off on November 23, had in attendance top clerics, political and diplomatic leaders, monarchs as well as music ministers and delegates from 42 countries.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church Worldwide and his Vice, Bishop David Abioye were among those who ministered at the event.

The Thanksgiving Service was attended by the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr. Benson Abounu, Senator Dino Melaye and other political leaders from Nigeria.

In his short sermon on Sunday, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church, Dr Paul Enenche recall that when the church started some 25 years ago, many naysayers doubted him but God proved them wrong.

He appreciated his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche and other pastors in the ministry for their labour and sacrifice.

The convention ended with the dedication of 150 babies, houses and cars.

The event was day 3 of the ongoing Kingdom Power and Glory World Conference 2021, which is also the 25th anniversary celebration of Dunamis church.

Speaking earlier, on the topic: exceeding abundant grace (2) – the life of David, said “If you have not lost your ion for God then you cannot lose your portion in life.”

“Anywhere God sees rejection, He releases the unction; God is attracted to the rejected, confronted and resisted,” he added.

The Christian Pentecostal Mission International (M) has officially confirmed the death of its General Overseer, Rev. Obiora Ezekiel.

IDOMA VOICE reports earlier that the fiery preacher, who is one of the founding fathers of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, died at the age of 78.

Confirming the sad development in a statement obtained by IDOMA VOICE on Sunday,

Rev. John Uzeh, Coordinator; M Int'l Imo state, Nigeria and member board of trustees, said the cleri came, saw, conquered, and left triumphantly.

Uzeh said, "Before his departure, he had been telling us to keep the vision alive, and the fire burning: that the mantle is with us; the glory is with us while he goes to wait for us to come over when the time is ripe."

The General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission(M), Lagos, Rev. Dr Obiora Ezekiel is dead.

Rev. Ezekiel died at the age of 78.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboy, was on Sunday at the Glory Dome of Dunamis International as part of activities to mark the ministry’s 25th anniversary.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Daddy G.O, as Pastor Adeboye is fondly called was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.

Welcoming the cleric amid cheers and excitement from congregation, Dr. Paul Enenche recalled his first encounter with Pastor Adeboye in the late 70s as a young boy in Otukpo, Benue State.

He recalled “Sir, but if there is any fruit you have produced in the world, here is one standing. We are part of your spiritual genealogy and we are happy to be a part of that spiritual lineage. You have been involved in our lives from very early; '78, '79. I was 11 years old when you came to Otukpo in Benue State and then I encountered your ministry. Since then, of the global generals worldwide, you are the first whose ministry I encountered at that early age. I one of your associates then, Pastor David Cole was instructing me on how to be fervent in the Lord, how to fast and pray and remain with God and that seed left an indelible mark.”

“Our leader then, brother Victor who was your ardent disciple. He was very impactful at that time and then 19 years ago, when we were only 6 years old, you visited us in the Area One Church under the canopy we set, 2002 titled; "No More Tears".

“You ministered powerfully and since then we have been in touch. When this construction was on, you came to the ground, drove round and prophesied upon the land and the building. You were thankful to God that this kind of property was available.

“On my 50th birthday, you would have come in person but you sent video message and also sent very strong delegation, your right -hand man and son; Pastor Leke was there in person with others. I'm saying all these, I'm sure you are aware but just to let you know that we value you, we honour you, we respect you and to let you know that we are fully conscious of your deposit in our lives. We are on this lineage and God has proved that who you follow determines what follows you. Your company determines your accompaniment. You cannot walk with giants and take dwarf steps. God has helped us and we glad.

“Mama, we thank You so much. The simplicity of Mummy is on another level. One day we were at the Redemption Camp, she was busy working and trying to serve the Pastors and my wife rushed at her; "Oh Mummy, don't do anything. We are here, let's serve". She refused vehemently: "No! I'm going to continue serving the people. That is why we are here". I heard the message that day "That is why we here". That's why I'm around here to serve as well as that is what brought us to this level - service. She continued to serve that day. If you want to serve, do your own service but I will do my own service.

“Please Sir, permanently that you have a deposit, a lineage, a seed and in our little way, God is helping us to reproduce the impact that your life has made. Two, three years ago, he was meant to go to North America for the North America Redeemed Congress and he was not able to go and he said to me, that I should go and represent him there at the North America Congress of RCCG and I don't take any of those for granted.”

On his part, Pastor Adeboye said he was happy over what God is doing through his servant, Dr. Paul and God’s handmaiden, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche.

He said is prayer has all being that his children should be greater than him.

The general overseer of the redeemed Christian Church of God, pastor Enoch Adeboye has urged Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom not to be distracted by what is going on around him.

Adeboye gave the counsel on Sunday at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre Glory Dome, Abuja.

Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu, who were at Dunamis Church as part of activities to mark the ministry's 25th anniversary, said they were proud to be associated with Governor Ortom, whom they described as their son.

Itoro, the young man who killed Tordue Salem, reporter with Vanguard Newspaper who was declared missing some days ago and later found dead, has revealed what happed.

Itoro, 29, a native of Akwa Ibom State, said he was driving around Mabushi bring in the night when he knocked down a pedestrian, for fear of being lynched, he fled.

According to him, his car was damaged and he fixed it the following day and continued his business.

Speaking while being paraded on Friday, the young man said he didn't stop because he thought he was an armed robber.

Many persons have lost their lives and several others injured in a tanker explosion that occurred din Kubwa area of Abuja on Friday.
The explosion has led to a fire outbreak at a shop near the main market.

Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, the developing company in charge of the building that collapsed in Ikoyi Lagos has been found dead.

The body was found on Thursday evening.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that his lifeless body was discovered around 6pm in the debris of the collapsed building.

Born Olufemi Adegoke Osibona, Femi Fourscore, as he is known, is a native of Ikenne, Ogun state.




The real estate developer until his death was the managing director of Fourscore Homes, a real estate development firm.




He attended Mayflower School in Ikenne before heading for Croydon University in the United Kingdom to study business and finance for his HND.

Pastor Becky Enenche builds 10-bedroom apartment for homeless girls, donates borehole, others to Abuja community to mark 51st birthday

As part of activities to mark her 51st birthday, Dr. Becky Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre on Sunday donated a 10-bedroom apartment to some homeless girls in Kunyami area of Abuja.

The structure was dedicated by the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church Dr. Paul Enenche.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Becky Enenche recalled that the house was built to relocate some of the girls who gave their lives to Jesus during an evangelistic outreach to the community from their former location which she said was not good for them.

On his part, Dr. Paul Enenche hailed the celebrant, Pastor Becky Enenche for her tireless efforts in reaching out to the lost souls.

Also speaking at the event, the traditional ruler of Kunyami hailed the church for their magnanimity.

He prayed God to uphold and continue to bless the clerics.

The church also donated a motorized borehole to the community and as well renovated the palace of the traditional ruler of Kunyami community.

Among the dignitaries at the event was the member representing Apa/Agatu federal Constituency, Goddey Samuel, who hailed pastor Paul and his wife for always putting smiles on the faces of people.

Other residents of the community lauded the church for the humanitarian gesture.

Similarly, the cleric also donated items to widows, school lunch boxes and bags to children as well as scholarship to one of the natives of the community.

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has described as untrue and fallacy a media report which claimed an armed attack on worshipers in one of the branches of the ministry.
The cleric said the report making the rounds in the media is untrue and should be discarded in its entirety.
Dr. Enenche was reacting to a report published by AFAMNEWS with the title, Armed Men Storm Dunamis Church In Abuja, Attack Worshippers.
The report, which was also widely aggregated by other blogs, claimed some armed men invaded a branch of Dunamis at Phase 4, Kubwa, on Monday, stabbed a security guard in the stomach and ripped off his intestines.
Reacting to the report during Tuesday’s Healing and Deliverance Service, Dr. Enenche warned that those manufacturing and sponsoring fallacious stories just to tarnish the name of the Ministry and create panic among of the Church should stop as their end is hell.
He said, “My attention was drawn to a report that devil’s church (not this Church) was attacked by armed men. You know we live in a world that is thriving on lies, especially social media. I don’t know but I think 80% of the news there are lies.
“We also live in a world where people anticipate evil for others, with a heart rooted with bitterness, all manner of wickedness, a heart continuously expecting evil news. And then, they push what is unreal and untrue. We are worshiping here right now; the camera can show everyone here and there is nothing like that.
“I want to make it clear that anybody who tells a story that is not true, whether you are telling in hard copy paper or in a news channel or whatever means, I refer you to revelation chapter 21:18, which say “…all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
“Listen to me, when you tell or promote a story that is not true, it is hell fire you are playing. What they said there is no truth in it.”

Speaking further, the cleric said the incident was that of a petty thief trying to steal something within the said location and was resisted and some people picked the news and blew it out of proportion.
He added, “A particular location that a petty thief was trying to steal something at night and was resisted and alarm was raised and he ran off the fence, then some demonic agents picked a hint of such unsuccessful misadventure of a petty thief and called it armed men attacked worshipers.
“Nothing like that ever happened and nothing like that will ever happen.

“ Let it be made clear that rumours, untruths, fallacies, fabrications are bring pushed in the air, and should be trashed. And those pushing such should be ashamed of themselves for promoting what is not true.”

It is no longer news that Nollywood actor, Oyekunle Opeyemi Oluwaremi, simply known as Remi Kunle, has replaced his colleague, Chidi Mokeme as the taskmaster of the 2021 edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search.

Kunle, who is best known for his roles in Falling, Family Forever and Tinsel, came to prominence after winning the 7th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010.

He studied acting at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, and graduated in 2014. This was followed by a stint learning film making and direction from the same academy, and graduating in 2015.

The Likeminds, a group of patriotic APC in Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency Benue State has frowned at a report published on Sahara Reporters over alleged irregularities in the last Local Government Area congress in Ado.

The report, which quoted unknown sources, had claimed that the consensus APC Chairman for Ado Local Government Area Hon. Ikese Echo Benjamin is of no political value to the party.

The report also accused wife of the Minister of Special Duties, Chief Mrs Regina Akume through her aide, Anna Itodo and some of the Ibrahim Mashi-led committee of turning the exercise into a money-making venture.


However, in a statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Hon. Ogbu Obande, said, Ikese, who has won elections in his Akpoge Ogblolo Ward of Agila district right from the time of ACN can not be of less political advantage to the Party.

The group described the allegation as baseless and untrue.


According to Obande, “To set the record straight, Chief Mrs Regina Akume is the mother of Benue and all APC faithfuls are her children. She does not indulge in illicit act none her aides as canvassed by the unknown author.”



He said the report was a deliberate attempt to smear the image of APC leader, George Akume.


The statement added, “Though, we have uncovered the authors from Ado and Otukpo Local Government Areas, we want them to desist from tarnishing the image of our leader and the Party platform through which they are seeking political offices.

“We never wanted to respond to the fake report because it was attributed to a ghost, but to set the record straight and avoid some elements against misleading the good people of Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.

“This group views these allegations as smear campaign against the former Deputy Governor of Benue State, Chief Steve Lawani, Mrs. Regina Akume, Miss Anna Itodo, a governorship aspirant, Dr. Mathias Byuan and other party stakeholders from Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.

“We want to state it categorically that at no point did Miss Itodo receive any money from Chief Steven Lawani, Sunny Oche or Dr. Matthias Byuan to edit the congress lists for Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo local government areas.

“The sponsored article is a clear voice of Jacob but hand of Essau, he the failure of the said source to reveal his/her identity.

“Surprisingly, the mendacious report has been making the rounds claimed Anna Itodo said any aspirants who fails to settle her will not make it to the 2023 general elections is wicked and will kill the party in Idomaland.

“We can say this without fear or favour that the exercise in Ado and the entire Enone was peaceful without any rancour.

“It is unfortunate Sahara Reporters, member of the fourth estate of the realm failed to balance its report by reaching out to Miss Itodo and party stakeholders for comment before publishing.

“We want to make it clear that the report should be discarded in entirety as it is laced with hatred and clear attempt to pitch leaders and of the APC in Enone against each other.

“We urge of the APC on the constituency to remain resolute and ive to the new leadership in our quest to regain power from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which has obviously failed the people of Benue State.”

Dr Ebuka Onunkwo, Chairman, Seahorse Industries Limited, manufacturer of quality lubricant, was on Thursday, September 2, 2021, honoured by the Anambra State Government for his significant contribution to the growth of education in the state.


Onukwo bagged the award at a programme tagged “Anambra State at 30: A Day with Education Builders,” which was held at Hollywood Event Centre, Awka.

A major drug dealer wanted for attempting to export 69.65kilograms of cocaine, heroin and cannabis to the United Kingdom through the NAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, has been arrested at a church in Ojodu, Ikeja area of Lagos state.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, had traced the wanted drug dealer, Stephen Afam Ikeanyionwu, on Sunday 15th August, 2021, to a popular pentecostal church at Mike Ajari street, Ojodu Berger, where they arrested him soon after he stepped out of the church service.

His arrest followed the interception of a consignment of illicit drugs weighing 69.65kg going to the UK through the Lagos airport on Thursday, 12th August, 2021. The illegal baggage had been sent to the airport for export through a freight forwarding company, which in turn gave a driver to deliver at the NAHCO export shed. Following the arrest of the driver, follow up operations and investigations later revealed the true identity of the actual owner of the consignment, Stephen Afam Ikeanyionwu, who was arrested three days later in a sting operation.

Also at the Lagos airport, NDLEA operatives arrested an Italy-bound enger, Abibu Miminu, during the outward clearance of engers on Ethiopian Airways flight to Italy via Addis-Ababa for ingesting illicit drugs. While under observation at the Agency’s facility between Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August, 2021, the trafficker excreted 68 wraps of heroin in three excretions, all weighing 800grams.
In the same vein, narcotic officers of the Directorate of Operation and General Investigation have intercepted at two courier companies in Lagos 840 grams of Methamphetamine going to Australia and concealed in bolts; 340 grams of Meth hidden in locally made footwears and also going to Australia; 1kilogram of cocaine coming from Ghana with UK as destination and concealed in four local guitars. Also seized from one of the courier firms is another 480grams of Meth concealed in footwears and going to Australia.

Meanwhile, a South Africa returnee, Obi Chigozie Samuel, was also last Sunday arrested at the Lagos airport during the inward clearance of Ethiopian Airlines from Addis-Abbaba, for importing 58grams of skunk into Nigeria. During preliminary interview, he itted ownership and claimed to be a cannabis smoker.

In strings of operations in Edo, Ondo, Kaduna, Kano and Kogi states, at least 2,504.8 kilograms of diverse illicit drugs were seized from multiple suspects in the past week. In Kogi, 60-year-old Mrs Comfort Uzor was arrested with 62.1kg cannabis on Tuesday, 17th August, 2021 in Lokoja, where one Dayyabu Usman was also caught with 8kg of same substance. While Uzor sourced hers from Bolorunduro in Ondo state and was heading to Abuja, Usman got his from Lagos and was taking it to Kano for sale.

In Kaduna state, operatives of the Birnin Gwari Area Command of the Agency raided the home of one Mr Joseph Sunday at Ungwa Pama, Kaduna where they recovered 48.3kg of cannabis from his room following credible intelligence.

In Edo state, NDLEA officers on Tuesday 17th August stormed the Ugbuwe forest in Ovia North East LGA, where they seized146 bags of cannabis sativa weighing 2,044 kilograms, while in Kano state, one Ikechukwu Aleke was arrested with 30,000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg and 99 bottles of Codeine syrup, in addition to the arrest of one Muktar Muhammad, with 370 bottles of Codeine cough syrup, weighing 60.4kg, as well as 900 tablets of Rohypnol. Also arrested in Kano was Sufiyanu Abubakar, 24, with 400 plastic bottles of Codeine cough syrup weighing 52kg as well as one Mutta Hassan Wada, who specializes in using courier firms to send drugs to a recipient in China, using cooking spices bottles for concealment.

In Ondo state, over 77.5kilograms of cannabis and monkey tail were intercepted on Saturday 21st August at Odigbo town in Odigbo LGA, where operatives arrested one Basiru Ijiniga. Also arrested on Saturday was Ibrahim Umaru in Sabo area of Akure South LGA. Recovered from him include different quantities of psychotropic substances like Diazepam, Tramadol, Swinol and Rophynol.
Reacting to the strings of arrests and seizures in the past week across some states and the MMIA, Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) commended the officers and men of the various commands for their unrelenting commitment to the presidential mandate to clear Nigerian forests and communities of illicit drugs in whatever form. “We have all laid our hands on the plough, there’s no looking back, no retreat or surrender and as such I urge all our officers and men to intensify the ongoing offensive action until the last gram of illicit drug is taken away from merchants of death”, Gen. Marwa stated on Sunday.

Report reaching IDOMA VOICE from Lagos has it that Pastor Danjuma Tafa-Balewa of the Redeemed Christian church of God, Cornerstone Parish (My Father’s House), Okota is dead.

A source told IDOMA VOICE that Pastor Danujma died of COVID-19 complications.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the cleric and his wife, Vera as well as some family had been on isolation after testing positive to the virus.

Sources said the cleric, who has been on oxygen for more than two weeks now, lost battle to the virus around 12am on Saturday.

He was recently in Bauchi to bury his mother.

His wife, Vera hailed from Orokam, In Ogbadibo LGA of benue state.

On the 12th of August, 1989, while he was playing for Nigeria in a 2nd round World Cup Qualifier match (Group C, Italia World Cup) against Angola, Samuel Okwaraji slumped on the pitch and died immediately. It was 77 minutes into the match. Right there, in front of 20,000 Nigerians at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, the Green Eagles were thrown into disarray while the Palancas Negras of Angola forgot the competition and ed in the futile attempts to revive him.

His body was then taken to the National Stadium Clinic where he was covered up, and from there to the General Hospital. The thousands of Nigerians who came to cheer him to glory left the stadium under a dark cloud of grief. Many would never forget that ominous day. It was just about 10 minutes to the final whistle. Okwaraji was 25. Autopsy revealed he died from high blood pressure-induced congestive heart failure (which occurs when the heart is unable to provide sufficient pump action to ensure enough blood goes round the body). His heart was discovered to be enlarged -not a good sign in medicine. Okwaraji literally played his heart out for Nigeria.

He had just signed a $500,000 contract with Berchem FC of Antwerp, Belgium.

That fateful day in the newly-refurbished stadium, one of the very last people that Okwaraji (he made the national squad in 1988) met and spoke with was David Ngodigha, a former goalkeeper for Nigeria and later the coach for Bayelsa United FC. They were both in the Nigerian national team and were roommates at the Seoul Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea in 1988 while both of them were playing under German coach Manfred Hoener and Clemens Westerhof of the Netherlands.

However, their friendship was forged long before they started playing for Nigeria. He was with Okwaraji before the ill-fated match and narrates: “I had known Sam way back while I was in Port Harcourt. But our paths really crossed during the Olympic qualifying games for Seoul ’88. We were roommates then and with Sam you can hardly find a dull moment because he is, sorry he was a down-to-earth person.”

Then he stated that shortly before the match, Sam, who was known for his calm and friendly character became a bit aggressive. On the morning of the match, he shouted at one of the staff in their hotel and that gave him serious concern: “Since I knew Sam, I had never seen him in that mood before and I must say I was so disturbed because this was a man that will allow nothing disturb him before, during or after any match. And suddenly Sam started telling how important the game against Angola was. And he kept talking about the game and this was quite unusual because instead we will joke and then he will call his Italian girlfriend, who I knew, on telephone and they will speak for about six hours.” Then he added that may the late Sam was being emotional because of the nature of the match: “I think Sam was also mindful that he was going to play in Lagos for the first time coupled with the publicity that was built around him before the game.” “

Sam on that day seemed to know that he was leaving. So he told me in his exact words that ‘I am perching on the scrotum of someone. That person wants to strike but he is being careful not to strike and miss.’ Back then I didn’t really understand what he was talking about. And he also warned me to be careful because he has done his best and might not be around for too long.” He was later shocked when his Sam’s cousin came to pack his belongings in the hotel where they were staying (something he said had never occurred before) that Sam had instructed him to do just that before he died. Ndodigha later said of his good friend: ”He wasn’t just a roommate or teammate but a true brother.”

According to his brother, Patrick, when Sam died, he had life insurance from a Belgian firm but ‘because of his love, he did what I will call a capital mistake, he had a clause in his insurance policy in which he stated that if he played outside Europe and America, that he would lose his insurance cover. And that is exactly what happened because he died here. There was an insurance package that was done by Guinness place for that particular match but it was just a cover for that match, not a life insurance. It was worth N10,000. That was what we got. And nothing else.‘

His mother says of that sad day:

I didn’t know that my son had died. It was a mystery to me. Because when we were watching the match, the screen suddenly went blank and I was even abusing NEPA or was it NTA for cutting short such an important match. I started to see people running around and I was wondering what was happening. It was dark, you know it was in the evening when they were playing. So I had to go in and sleep…I was even saying this Nigeria sef, this is a World Cup qualifier match and ….I slept. That night, by 7.30 pm, I woke up to see whether they had started the match again, what I heard was that (she pauses…) …….they are very sorry that……they announced his death….that he slumped and died….that was how I heard it…. It was so painful to me….he was a boy so close to my heart…he always knew what I wanted…he would come home and say Mummy, what do you want. He would ask me if I was well. He would take me to the hospital to the doctor that he just wanted the doctor to examine me, to do this and that. He did so many things to touch my heart. I lost him…and it was a terrible loss to me…because he loved me so much….and I so loved him.. The government indeed made promises to help me out with the care of my children when Sam died because he was the family’s provider but nothing was done. I was at home for a whole year and didn’t teach, receiving condolences from people all over Nigeria for the death of Sam who was multitalented, because I could he got a recommendation and congratulatory letter from the Korean government for one of his art works which was chosen as the best in a primary school art contest.” They brought him home to Enugu here where we lived from Lagos but before then they had told me to go to Umudioka and wait for them. My friends gathered here, markets closed, banks closed, offices closed, people lined up the streets in Enugu….he was given a lot of respect…and when they brought him, it was like a king, I had never seen such before.
