The Good Governance Group, a pro-democracy advocacy platform, has called on Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, to clarify his political intentions ahead of the 2027 elections in Bauchi State. The group expressed concern over what it described as the Minister’s increasing focus on state politics at the expense of his national responsibilities. In a statement issued on Wednesday , the group criticized what it described as a growing pattern of absentee leadership at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citing delays in diplomatic coordination, dwindling visibility in regional affairs, and underperformance in managing Nigeria’s foreign missions. “At a time when Nigeria’s global standing requires clear-headed leadership and focus, it is worrisome that the Minister appears more engrossed in grassroots political activity in Bauchi than in delivering on his constitutional mandate.” The group also referenced recent tensions allegedly fueled by persons close to the Minister, warning that such distractions not only affect national governance but risk destabilizing Bauchi’s political atmosphere ahead of the 2027 elections. “While Ambassador Tuggar is within his rights to seek elective office, the honorable course would be to resign and pursue his ambition without undermining the crucial role he currently occupies,” the group added. The group led by the Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Isah said, “We will not sit idly while reckless children of failed public officials turn Bauchi into a battlefield for their ego wars. “We will not be cowed by bullies in fine suits who mistake their father’s appointment for personal achievement. The attack on Shamsudeen Mohammed was not just a baseless and needless altercation. On Tuggar’s son Adam rubbing shoulders with Shamsudeen, the group described his attitude as ”’shameful and classless ” “This isn’t politics, this is a shameful, classless, pedestrian behavior of an entitled child who has never been disciplined, never been made to earn respect, and clearly never been taught the difference between privilege and responsibility. “Therefore we make it clear that, “Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed doesn’t need a rented title or a father in a suit to make waves. He is grounded, respected, and stands tall beside a working governor who has delivered real results for Bauchi State. Can the same be said for you, Adam? “Therefore Bauchi deserves focused leadership. Nigeria’s foreign policy deserves a committed helmsman. It’s time to choose.”

The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has pledged to mediate in the case of Apostle Festus Alilu’s arrest. Apostle Alilu, the senior pastor of Word of Power Gospel Church International in Ughelli, Delta State, was taken into police custody on Thursday following allegations of defamation against Pastor Korede Komaiya of The Master’s Place International Church. His arrest followed a viral video in which he accused Pastor Komaiya of misleading church with fabricated prosperity teachings. Reacting, the group in a statement by its convener, Adama Paul James, clarified that Pastor Komaiya did not initiate the arrest, stating that it was carried out by some of his followers. The forum condemned the verbal attack on Pastor Komaiya and emphasized the need to uphold dignity and respect for Christian leaders while urging an amicable resolution to the matter. Adama said, “The attention of the Concerned Christian Youth Forum has been drawn to the arrest of one Apostle Festus Alilu over an alleged defamatory video he made against Pastor Korede Komaiya. “We have watched the said video with due circumspection on social media and the Concerned Christian Youth Forum hereby condemn in totality the verbal attack of Apostle Festus Alilu on the person of Pastor Korede Komaiya. “We consider this attack unprovoked and unwarranted, and we consequently wish to extend our sincere apologies to Pastor Komaiya on behalf of our community. “Upon further inquiries, we discovered that the arrest of Apostle Alilu was not initiated by Pastor Komaiya himself but by some of his followers. This highlights the importance of considering and ing facts before drawing conclusions or making accusations. “The Concerned Christian Youth Forum is stepping in with the hope of finding an amicable resolution to this matter. “We would like to use this opportunity to make it clear that attacks on the Christian Faith and its Leaders will no longer be tolerated. We are ready to take all necessary steps to vigorously defend Christianity and its leaders in Nigeria. “We encourage everyone to respect the Christian Faith and avoid making derogatory comments or attacks on any religion. Such unruly behaviour has no place in our society and must be stopped forthwith. “The Concerned Christian Youth Forum is committed to ensuring that the Christian faith and its leaders are treated with utmost dignity and respect they deserve.” https://idomavoice.com/concerned-christian-youth-forum-to-intervene-over-arrest-of-apostle-festus-alilu/

https://idomavoice.com/two-weeks-after-ncc-yet-to-shut-down-pornographic-websites-in-nigeria/ Two weeks after the House of Representatives directed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to shut down access to pornographic websites nationwide, investigations by IDOMA VOICE reveal that the directive has yet to be implemented. On Tuesday, March 11, the House of Representatives mandated the NCC, Nigeria’s telecoms regulatory body, to enforce the ban, aiming to curb what lawmakers described as a growing moral and social concern. The motion, sponsored by Hon. Dalhatu Tafoki, who represents the Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency, sought urgent action against online pornography, citing its negative impact on societal values. “I would like to move a motion for the need to block internet websites hosting pornographic content and sanction the internet service providers responsible for the posting. The House notes that cyber pornography is fast becoming a global problem, and no concrete steps have been taken to curb its phenomenon in Nigeria,” Tafoki stated. The directive has sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, with critics questioning its feasibility and prioritization, while others argue that internet censorship should not be a legislative focus. Despite the House’s resolution, IDOMA VOICE investigations on Thursday confirmed that major pornographic websites remain accessible across Nigeria. Efforts to obtain a response from the NCC regarding the delay in enforcement proved unsuccessful.

https://youtube.com/shorts/XeRVleNVLiQ The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has explained why he does not call for offerings during crusades. Dr. Enenche, who has been organizing large-scale crusades across various states in Nigeria, most recently in Borno State, stated that the primary objective of these gatherings is solely for soul-winning. He stated that despite the significant financial cost of hosting these crusades, running into millions of naira, he remains committed to ensuring that no offering is collected from attendees. According to Dr. Enenche, the focus of the crusades is to bring people to Christ without any financial burden or distractions, reinforcing his belief in spreading the gospel freely. “That is why there is no need, no use, and no reason to take offerings at crusade grounds. “First of all, we didn’t go there to preach and take money from sinners. We came to preach and take their souls to God. “Imagine someone coming to be saved, and you tell them to bring an offering. How does that make sense? Someone arrives drunk or high on drugs, and you an offering basket to them—what are they paying for? They might even ask, "Is it a stick of cigarette I’m paying for? What exactly am I getting in return for this payment?"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qvXsbOAnzs Maiduguri, the heart of Borno State—once considered a no-go area due to years of insecurity—witnessed an unprecedented divine invasion. Where others feared, Dr. Paul Enenche and his team dared. Just 24 hours after concluding a powerful crusade in Anambra, he stormed the city of Maiduguri, to bring the message of healing, deliverance, and hope to thousands. IDOMA VOICE observed that the Maiduguri Healing and Deliverance Crusade was more than just a gathering; it was a divine appointment. The turnout defied all expectations—thousands from across the region, from different walks of life, flooded the RAMAT SQUARE, eager to encounter God in a way many had never experienced before. Dr. Paul Enenche’s commitment to reaching every corner of the earth aligns with the mission of Dunamis International Gospel Centre—until the earth is saturated with the knowledge of God as the waters cover the sea. And Maiduguri was no exception. As the night progressed, miracles unfolded. The sick received healing, captives were set free, and the atmosphere was charged with the undeniable presence of God. This was not just a crusade, it was a divine encounter. From the worship to the word, from the healings to the deliverance, the Maiduguri Healing and Deliverance Crusade will be ed as moments when heaven touched the earth in Borno State. And so, the mission continues. From city to city, from state to state, Dr. Paul Enenche remains committed to carrying the fire of revival. Because where others see fear, faith takes a stand. Where darkness looms, light breaks through. And as long as the earth remains, the knowledge of the glory of God will continue to spread, just as the waters cover the sea. https://idomavoice.com/maiduguri-crusade-day-dr-paul-enenche-ignited-a-fire-of-revival-in-borno-state/ 58 Likes 8 Shares |

The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has condemned the recent disrespectful and abusive remarks made by Omoyele Sowore against Christian leaders in Nigeria. The group said Sowore’s continuous attacks on the faith and its revered leaders are not only unacceptable but also a dangerous provocation that could incite unrest. CCYF, in a statement signed by its Convener, Adama Paul James, said it is alarming that Sowore, in his desperate bid for relevance, has resorted to belittling highly accomplished and respected spiritual figures, falsely portraying them as failures or uneducated. The statement reads below: “We, the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, have recently learned of the disrespectful and abusive comments made by Omoyele Sowore against Christian leaders in general. This behavior is completely unacceptable. “To label our Fathers of Faith and Pastors as failures, uneducated, or jobless is preposterous, egregiously disrespectful, and therefore unacceptable. The time has come to put an end to Sowore's incessant attacks on the Christian Faith and her reputable leaders. “It is a shame that he, Sowore, has chosen to denigrate the accomplishments and contributions of some of the most revered Fathers of our Faith and Pastors in our country, each of whom has achieved remarkable success in their respective fields. “Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor D.K. Olukoya, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Apostle Johnson Suleman, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Apostle Joshua Selman, Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Pastor Godman Akinlabi, Pastor Emmanuel Iren, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and many others—too numerous to mention—possess impressive academic achievements, not to mention their years of service and devotion to their faith. “Sowore should reflect on the fact that these individuals are not only spiritual leaders but also intellectual heavyweights who have earned the respect and iration of millions of believers around the world. Academically, Sowore is a dwarf where most of these men are standing. How can a sane man refer to a First-Class graduate of Mathematics or a Professor of Mathematics as uneducated? “It is apparent that Sowore's insults are not grounded in reality but rather in ignorance and hate. His insults further confirm that he is an uncouth, uncultured, and unlearned man who is desperately seeking attention and relevance. “We urge him to rethink his approach and refrain from further attacks against Christianity and her leaders. The Concerned Christian Youth Forum will not stand idly by and watch our Faith and leaders disrespected and maligned by Sowore. “This is to serve as a strong note of warning to Omoyele Sowore and his ilk that any further attacks on Christianity or Christian leaders will be met with a stronger response. Sowore should be mindful that his misguided words and actions have far-reaching consequences, even capable of causing a breakdown of law and order. He should be held able for his reckless, rascally, and ignoble role in inciting social and religious disturbance in a volatile society such as ours. “We, the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, stand in solidarity with our Christian Leaders and our Faith. We will not tolerate any further attacks against them, and we will continue to defend their honor and integrity. We wish to draw the attention of the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the potential danger of Sowore's rascality, especially as it borders on religious sensitivity and its implications for national peace and security.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jurfBvZiPw The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has maintained its stance on pursuing legal action against Ogunsanwo Olumide John, popularly known as Seaking, who was recently arrested for making derogatory comments about Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Recall that Seaking, in a viral TikTok video, referred to Pastor Adeboye as “very stupid and foolish” for subjecting his congregation to a 100-day fast. Following a petition filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, Ogunsanwo was apprehended by the Nigeria Police in Lagos and subsequently transferred to the Federal Investigation Department (FID) in Abuja, under the supervision of DIG Dasuki Galandanchi, on allegations of cyberbullying. While Pastor Adeboye has publicly called for the release of Seaking, stating that the TikToker was merely fulfilling part of prophecies, the youth forum remains resolute in its position. Addressing a press conference on Monday, the forum’s convener, Adama James Paul, affirmed their commitment to pursuing the case to its conclusion, emphasizing their broader mission to protect Christianity and its leaders from defamation and blasphemy. Statement from the Concerned Christian Youth Forum: “We wish to reiterate for the enlightenment of the general public that we are not representing any particular denomination but the entire Christian Church and her revered leaders in Nigeria. “We have been at the forefront of confronting these unwarranted media onslaughts directed against our leaders by invoking the provisions of relevant laws as law-abiding citizens. We were behind the petitions that led to the arrest and detention of some errant media urchins in recent times. “Now, for the records, we categorically state that the recent petition filed against Ogunsanwo Olumide John was initiated by us, the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, and not by Pastor E.A. Adeboye himself. Neither was the petition filed at his behest. As a respected elder and grandfather, Pastor Adeboye should not be expected to engage directly in such matters but rather focus on his divinely ordained duties as a Man of God. “This does not absolve us, as responsible of the Christian community, from the duty of safeguarding our faith and leaders from blasphemy, defamation, and insult. This is why we, as young, respectable, and responsible Christians, have taken it upon ourselves to defend our faith and our leaders through the instrumentality of law. “We believe that God works through His people to fight against injustice and oppression, and we see ourselves as His instruments in this regard. At this point, we emphasize that we will not tolerate any further abuse of our faith or our leaders. We are fully prepared to pursue justice in this matter until it is served. “This is a matter of utmost importance, not just for the Christian community but in the overall interest of peace and national security. We are committed to ensuring that the rule of law prevails. We believe in peaceful coexistence, regardless of religious belief, ethnic identity, or political affiliations. “Let this serve as a warning to those who seek to undermine Christianity and its leaders that their actions will not go unnoticed, and they will be held able. Those who defame our faith and our leaders must face the consequences of their actions.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cy_kA7Vdh4Q The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has claimed responsibility for the arrest of popular TikToker, Ogunsanwo Olumide John, also known as Seaking, for allegedly insulting the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Ogunsanwo was picked up by officials of the Nigeria Police in Lagos and moved to the Federal Investigation Department (FID) in Abuja under DIG Dasuki Galandanchi for alleged cyberbullying. The content creator had, in a viral video on TikTok, branded Pastor Adeboye as “very stupid and foolish" for subjecting his congregation to a 100-day fast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY060_ikRiY Activist Adama Paul James has expressed deep concern over the increasing wave of online attacks targeting the Christian faith and revered clerics in Nigeria. Addressing a news conference on Monday, the lawyer condemned the surge of disparaging statements, libelous claims and malicious accusations circulating on social media platforms and blogs. His comment came amid the arrest and detenion of a former paster turned atheist, Abraham Daniel and two others for defamation. According to Adama, “These individuals have consistently used their platforms to launch baseless allegations against the Church and its leaders, seeking to demean and drag the Christian faith into disrepute.” Adama specifically named one of the prominent individuals involved, Abraham Daniel, who claims to be a humanist. He said Daniel has repeatedly insulted men of God, made defamatory statements about the Church, and described Christianity as a scam. “Such actions are not only reckless but are also capable of inciting religious tensions in an already fragile nation. This blatant abuse of social media poses a grave threat to religious harmony and national peace,” he warned. In response to these online attacks, Adama confirmed that he has taken legal steps by petitioning the relevant authorities. His efforts have led to the arrest and detention of some of the suspects involved in the campaign of calumny. He commended the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies for their prompt actions in addressing the issue. Adama reminded the public of the constitutional provisions guaranteeing freedom of religion and belief. He emphasized that Sections 38 and 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as international human rights standards to which Nigeria is a signatory, protect the peaceful practice of faith. “The targeted attacks on Christianity and its clerics constitute a gross violation of these provisions. I am fully committed to ensuring that such attacks do not go unchecked,” he affirmed. Adama vowed not to remain silent while a few disgruntled elements seek to drag the Christian faith into disrepute and sow seeds of discord in the nation. He pledged to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion, ensuring that perpetrators are held able for their actions. He further highlighted the global issue of social media misuse, particularly cyberbullying. According to Adama, this problem is worsened in Nigeria by the targeted attacks on Christianity and its revered leaders, which have become fodder for content creators, resulting in widespread mockery and defamation of the faith. “Such blasphemous acts are not only insulting to Christians but also pose a grave danger to societal harmony and tolerance,” he noted. Adama expressed personal concern about the impact of these attacks on the future of the faith and the spiritual upbringing of younger generations. He described the experience of witnessing deeply held beliefs come under attack as harrowing and unbearable. He called on all relevant authorities, including the Police, DSS, and other security agencies, to intensify efforts in identifying and prosecuting those who misuse social media to incite religious tension and propagate lies against the Church and its clerics. “To be clear, this is not a battle against free speech but against the abuse of free speech to promote hatred, falsehood, and religious intolerance. The law is unambiguous: anyone making defamatory or inciting statements must be prepared to substantiate them,” he clarified. Adama reaffirmed his vision of fostering a society where all faiths are respected, religious harmony is upheld, and the sanctity of belief is protected. “To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let this serve as a notice to all those who seek to malign the Christian faith: I will not rest until justice is served and peace is preserved,” he declared. 2 Likes |

The Concerned Christian Youths, a Christian body organisation, has claimed responsibility for the arrest and detention of some persons for cyberbullying and attacks on some Christian leaders in Nigeria. Recall that the Nigeria Police had invited a former pastor-turned-atheist, Abraham Daniel, and one other person for using their social media platforms to troll some clerics. However, a section of the media had attributed the arrest to an Abuja-based cleric. The Christian group in a statement by its cordinator, James Paul Adama, has now confirmed that it is behind the petition that led to the invitation of the suspects by the police. The statement reads below: “Our attention has been drawn to some online publications purportedly claiming that some individuals were arrested by or at the instance of a certain revered man of God. Nothing can be farther from the truth. “We would like to sensitize the public to treat such publications as egregiously malicious, inciteful and fallacious with the intention of swaying attention from the truth. “The individuals in question are cyber bullies who have been attacking the Christian Faith and reputable Christian leaders in Nigeria. Those publications are being peddled by the same acrimonious agents in furtherance of their nefarious agenda against the Christian Faith and Christian leaders in Nigeria. “The arrests were rather made by us, Concerned Christian Youths and Spiritual Sons of the Faith. And we invoked the relevant provisions of the Law against cybercrimes. “The Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, ETC) ACT 2015 with the Amendment Act, 2024 have explicit, unambiguous provisions against cybercrimes, including cyber-bullying. “Section 24 sub-section (1) provides that, “A person who knowingly or intentionally sends a message or other matter by means of computer systems or Network that – (b) he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to another or causes such a message to be sent. “Commits an offence under this Acts and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 3 years…” “Similarly, Section 24 Sub-section 2 provides that, “A person who knowingly or intentionally Transmits or causes the Transmission of any communication through a computer system or Network – To bully, threaten or harass another person, where such communication places another person in fear of death, violence or bodily harm to another person; (c) containing any threat to harm the property or reputation of the addressee or of another or the reputation of a deceased person or any threat to accuse the addressee or any other person of a crime, to extort from any person, firm, association or corporation, any money or other thing of value, commits an offence under this Act, and is liable on conviction – In the case of paragraph (a) and (b) of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of 10 years…, and, In the case of paragraph (C) of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of 5 years...” Following the provisions of this Act, the Nigerian Police Force in December 2024 declared cyberbullying as a criminal offence punishable by Law. “Thus, the activities of the arrested individuals made them liable to prosecution and conviction under the provisions of this Act as highlighted above, and that is the reason for their arrest. “Before this time, we have invoked the above provisions to arrest and press charges against a certain prophet who was picked up by the police from Lagos, and after having tasted the other side of the Law, he offered a public apology both in electronic and text forms and published same in reputable national dailies. This shows the extent to which we are ready to use the provisions of the Law to confront anyone who denigrates our Faith or attacks our fathers of faith. This is regardless of whether the cyberbully is a self-acclaimed clergy or a laity. “We are not alone in this war against social media anarchy, brigandage and gangsterism. “In July 2023, a social media influencer (Tiktoker), Okoye Blessing Nwakaego was sentenced by Justice Oweibo of the Federal High Court, Lagos to 3 years imprisonment for engaging in cyberbullying a Nollywood actress, Eniola Bus. “The police had accused the convict of conspiring between December 2022 and July 2023 to commit a felony, to wit: cyberstalking. “The convict was also said to have knowingly caused the transmission of communication via Tiktok, gossip mill tv, remedy blog and other social media network, which is grossly offensive and false and to cause annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, and needless anxiety to the prejudice of one Eniola Bus. “And away from Nigeria, in July 2021, a French court convicted 11 people charged with harassing and threatening via the internet, a teenager who harshly criticized a certain religion. The verdict was the first of its kind since created a new Paris court in January to prosecute online crimes, including harassment and discrimination. “The court sentenced the defendants to suspended prison of four to six months and fined them about $1,770 each. “Across the globe, the hazards of social media, especially, cyberbullying have assumed a worrisome dimension. “In Nigeria, it is even more worrisome as these attacks are targeted at the Christian Faith and her reputable leaders. Almost every content creator in Nigeria is using the mockery of Christianity and Christian leaders to ply their trade. This is denigrating, defamatory and blasphemous to Christianity, and therefore unacceptable. No genuine Christian can watch the mockery and denigration of Christianity as is being done in Nigeria with indifference. ‘The most vital part of every man’s existence is his faith or belief system. We find the foundation of our existence as Christians, and our hope for the future, both in this world and in the hereafter, threatened by the barrage of unwarranted attacks against our spiritual leaders. “Most reputable leaders are either too big or too busy to engage detractors, and we cannot sit idly by and watch some malicious elements attack their reputation with the aim of confusing the minds of their followers. These are the very people from whose mouths we receive the gospel of hope and salvation. “Beyond this, the activities of these individuals are breeding social anarchy, moral decadence and lawlessness with the overall implication of plunging our society if not the whole nation into an inferno of social and religious violence. Our country has grappled with the challenges of insecurity for so long; we cannot afford to open a new front for another form of violence and insecurity. Therefore, it is in the overall interest of national security to address this social media brigandage called cyberbullying. “These are the reasons why we cannot hold our peace. We are ready to use every applicable provision of the law to tackle these unwarranted, illogical, brazen, malicious and ill-conceived attacks on the Christian Faith and reputable fathers of Faith in Nigeria regardless of denomination until justice is served and sanity is restored. We are fully armed with the truth, and we know that the forces of evil will always bow before good as the wicked bows at the gates of the righteous. “In conclusion, we want to reiterate the fact that the publicized arrests were made by us and not by any man of God as purported by those malicious publications. Therefore, any attempt to further twist the narrative and force falsehood down the throats of the public will be vehemently resisted, if necessary, with further legal actions using applicable provisions of the Law.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St7QfbiNGUI Motorists and commuters traveling along the Makurdi-Otukpo-Otukpa route to Enugu and the eastern part of Nigeria can look forward to smoother journeys, thanks to the ongoing dualization of the highway. Recent findings by Idoma Television have shown that the 266.4-kilometer road project, which commenced in January 2024, is progressing steadily and on schedule. During a visit by the Idoma Television team on New Year’s Eve, workers from the China Harbour Engineering Company, the firm overseeing the construction, were seen diligently working on-site, even during the holiday period. In Olanyega Edumoga, located in Okpokwu Local Government Area, the contractors have made significant progress, beginning the laying of the stone base on the road. Several workers on-site expressed their appreciation to the local community for fostering a conducive environment for the construction activities, which has facilitated the project's smooth operation. The road dualization project is funded through a collaborative partnership between the Nigerian Federal Government and the Export-Import Bank of China. https://idomavoice.com/updates-on-makurdi-otukpo-otukpa-enugu-road-dualization-project-watch/
