Thanks Boss. I actually faxed my statement of result to WES but they are still requesting more required document. They wrote "NOT RECEIVED" in front of certificate and ACCEPTED in front of academic transcripts. Now evaluation is on hold, awaiting documents status.

Good evening house. Please can one's institution send Statement of Result to WES for evaluation in a case where Certificate is not available? Has anyone sent Statement of Result for evaluation in place of a certificate. Thanks

You can call their customer care. Though you will need to be very patient because it could take you like 40mins and that's expensive too. I got them via phone call.

Good morning house. Please which mode of payment is preferable for ielts exam registration. Bank draft or transfer?. I intend paying this week and writing the exam in June. Thank you

I did a mobile transfer, copied the receipt sent to my email by the bank to Microsoft Word, then attached it in a mail sent to [email protected] and called them (014603090-9) thereafter to follow-up. Note : getting them on phone might be stressful.

Greetings to everyone. A brother made a mistake while filling his DS-160. He mistakenly picked "NO" where he was asked about whether he has attended any institution. Whereas, He graduated with a B.Tech. in Electrical Electronics Engineering from LAUTECH. what can he do? can he pay for another application to fill another DS-,160? Your response would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Good day @Abujaniv. Please, i have an existing B1/B2 Visa but i am considering applying for my masters in the US next spring, which implies that i have to apply for a F-1 visa. My question is: will the outcome of my F-1 visa application affect the validity of my existing B1/B2 visa? Thanks.

@KaptainAfrica
Thanks. None of these questions were asked. Our tickets were already booked even before we discovered the pregnancy.

KaptainAfrika:
Where you asked any of the following questions...
1. Do you intend to use this visa for any other purpose apart from vacation?
2. Will be taking any medical treatment in the US?
3. Is your wife pregnant?
4. Did you mention that your wife was pregnant.

Go for your vacation first, I just hope CBP don't ask if your wife is preggy, that will complicate things.
If you are successful in gaining entry into the US for vacation (you and your wife), when you get back to Naija, notify them of intent to use your visa for childbirth on the next trip.

Hi everyone. I have been a silent follower here for few weeks now. Myself and DW got our visas approved mid-October for a vacation in the US later this month, but we discovered DW was few weeks pregnant by mid-November and will be due by late July 2017. So we are planning she give birth in the US. Although We'll be back from vacation in January but my question is, can she send a "letter of change of intent" to the US embassy by the time she wants to go for childbirth?. Thanks.

Yessooo! A man refused me last year, a man granted me this year. It is all about God's favour and getting it right.

BelieveAndrew:

I quite agree with u about the woman thing..but all in all,God first, cos even a woman can cause harm...if God says the VO who is gonna favor me is a man,so be it,then the time thing, the most thing is that when u have God with you, even if the VO belle dey turn am ...he /she will not have a choice but to issue a white paper...But as their criteria.TIES and PURPOSE is key
And GOD comes first...Favor is inevitable with HIM
My small opinion though

many thanks

LadyGuinivere:

My suggestion as always and as a frequent traveller.
Stop using 'will I have issues' as a yardstick. If your wife will stay longer than 2 weeks , let her say so if asked. It is not a crime as long as she's stamped in for that duration or longer.
Where one gets issues is where u declare one thing and do another and start changing tickets.
Or where u say two weeks and they see a 4 week ticket

Hi Good People

I want to book my wife's ticket. Initially we were supposed to spend two weeks in the US. But my wife would like to stay two weeks longer to attend a friend's wedding and we intend to book restricted tickets. My question is, would there be any problem at the POE in case they check our tickets and discover she is staying longer? Thanks.

@LadyG and @Seyewest, what would you suggest. Thanks.

Flights to Baltimore are expensive, and it also depends on your intended travel date. I had to book mine to Dulles Airport. I heard it is like 70mins drive to BWI. You can try Travelstart.com.ng

I'm sorry and this is not to be rude or something. I read someone's transcript in this forum how he was denied because his company was going to sponsor his private trip.

Hello house,

We(my wife and I) were only given one white paper. Can I(alone) pick our ports without her being present? because her work schedule may not allow her go with me. And does she need to fill the 'pick up by proxy' form printed on the back of the paper?

Thanks.

There's no right or wrong answer. You are actually going for a family visit so IMO, that's the proper answer

Hello House,
Please i'm preparing for my Visa Interview on monday. My wife and I applied for a B1/B2 to visit my elder brother and family. If we were being asked why what we are going to the US for, is it proper to say, we are going for a family visit? or what should be the right response?
Please, can somebody help with this? Thanks.

Hi Good People,

I was denied a B1/B2 Visa last year January in Lagos. My wife have also been denied 4yrs ago. I was given a 214(b) letter, and then i was single. It was to be a pleasure visit so, i didn't go with an Invitation Letter. I got married mid this year and my elder brother who has a US citizenship status came for my wedding but couldn't come with his family. He wanted us (myself and my wife) to visit him and his family in the USA for Christmas this year so, his wife and kids could meet my wife during our annual leave and Christmas break(2weeks). We have an invitation letter from him. We have applied for a B1/B2 Visa and we are having our interview in Lagos next week. I changed job same January last year. Was working with a private firm with a good salary but the job was not pensionable and salary was always unstable. I got a job with a state government institution and my wife works in a federal government University. Plus i do some private jobs to increase my income streams. I am being owed months of salary by the institution due to the recession in the country. But i make money from my private business which i think is sufficient to take care of our trip.
