In a world that encourages loud reactions, public clapbacks, and instant retaliation, patience is often mistaken for weakness.

Some even say, “Being patient makes you look like a fool” or “Sabr doesn’t work; people will just keep walking over you”. But let’s pause and ask: What does Allah say about patience?

> “Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:153)

That’s not just reassurance. it’s Divine companionship. Patience isn't silence out of fear; it’s quietness out of strength. It’s faith that Allah sees, hears, and will repay better than you ever can.

Let’s take a step back and the examples of those who were tested:

Prophet Yusuf عليه السلام was betrayed, enslaved, and falsely imprisoned. Yet he remained patient. Allah later elevated him to a position of authority and honor.

Maryam عليها السلام bore the pain of false accusations, not with noise, but with trust in her Lord. Today, she is honored among the best women in history.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was mocked, insulted, and attacked. But his response? Patience. Forgiveness. Mercy. And today, billions follow him.

So when someone says you’re being “too soft” or “letting people walk over you” :

> “No one is given a gift better and more comprehensive than patience.”
(Hadith – Bukhari & Muslim)

When you choose sabr, you choose Allah. And those who choose Allah will never be losers — not in this world, and certainly not in the Hereafter.

> “Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without measure.”
(Surah Az-Zumar 39:10)

You may be silent now, but Allah is writing your reward. You may feel hurt, but Jannah is being decorated for you. You may be called a fool by people but you are beloved to Ar-Rahman.

So don’t let anyone shame you for taking the higher road. It’s not easy but it leads to Paradise.

May Allah make us among the people of patience, and reward us with what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has ever imagined. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah! Today is a special and blessed day Eid al-Adha, and it coincides with Jumu‘ah (Friday).

Below are the key etiquettes :

🌙 General Etiquette of Eid al-Adha

1. Ghusl (Ritual Bath):
It is Sunnah to take a ghusl before going out for the Eid prayer.

2. Wear Your Best Clothes:
Beautify yourself with clean, modest, and good clothing (preferably new or your best).

3. Avoid Eating Before Eid Prayer:
For Eid al-Adha (unlike Eid al-Fitr), it is recommended not to eat before the Eid prayer, and eat from the sacrifice afterward if performing one.

4. Recite the Takbir Frequently:
Begin saying the Takbir (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar...) aloud from the dawn of the day of ‘Arafah (9th Dhul-Hijjah) until the last day of Tashreeq (13th Dhul-Hijjah) – after each obligatory prayer.

5. Go Early for the Prayer:
Attend the Eid prayer early to in the Takbir and the khutbah.

6. Walk to the Eid Ground (if possible):
Walking is a Sunnah, as is taking a different route on your return.

7. Congratulate Others:
Exchange Eid greetings, such as “Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum” (May Allah accept from us and you).

🕌 When Eid Coincides with Friday (Jumu‘ah)
This is a unique occasion, and the Prophet ﷺ addressed it:

🔸 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Two Eids have come together on this day, so whoever wishes, Eid prayer will suffice him for Jumu‘ah, but we will still offer Jumu‘ah.”
Narrated in Abu Dawood and authenticated by Al-Albani.

What Does This Mean?

✅ For those who attend Eid prayer:

They may be excused from Jumu‘ah prayer, especially in rural settings or if hardship is involved.

However, they must still pray Dhuhr (Zuhr) in its time if they miss Jumu‘ah.

✅ For the Imam (leader of the mosque):

He must still establish Jumu‘ah for those who choose to attend.

✅ It is better and more rewarding to attend both Eid and Jumu‘ah, especially if you're able and there is no hardship.

Make this a day of worship, joy, family bonding, and reflection. Avoid sinful behavior and immerse yourself in dhikr, prayer, and gratitude.

🕋 May Allah accept our sacrifices, prayers, and good deeds. Eid Mubarak! 🌙🐑

Episode 21 - Integration by partial fractions

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāh!

According to the calendar, Eid al-Adha is likely to fall on Friday, June 6, 2025. May Allah allow us to witness this sacred day in sound health, strong faith, and abundant provision. Ameen.

Many people are feeling anxious this year the price of rams and livestock has skyrocketed. Some are worried they won’t be able to participate in this noble act of worship.

But take heart: Islam is ease. If you can’t afford a ram on your own, you can still earn the reward by contributing to a group sacrifice. Here's how:

✅ Who Can Share in a Sacrifice?

Camel: 7 people

Cow: 7 people

Ram: 1 person

Goat: 1 person

Yes, 7 people can share the reward and cost of a cow or camel — so gather your friends, family, or neighbors and fulfill this Sunnah together.

🐐 Age Requirements of Animals

Make sure the animal meets the minimum age:

Camel: 5 years

Cow: 2 years

Goat: 1 year

Sheep/Ram: 6 months (if it looks like a 1-year-old)

❌ What Invalidates a Sacrificial Animal?

The Prophet ﷺ taught that the animal must be healthy and free from major defects. These include:

Blindness or clearly impaired vision

Sickness or disease

Lameness that prevents walking properly

Emaciation with no marrow in the bones

(See: Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

---

💡 Reminder

You may not be able to buy a ram alone, but don't miss this opportunity. Sincerity and intention are key. If you pair up with others and fulfill the Sunnah, the reward is yours just the same.

Let us prepare for this blessed day with pure hearts, good intentions, and grateful souls. 🌙

May Allah accept our sacrifices and worship. Ameen.

There are moments in life when we feel we’ve done everything right.

You fasted on the white days.
You prayed at Tahajjud when the world slept.
You gave sadaqah with a trembling hope in your heart.
You raised your hands after every prayer, whispering the same dua for a job, a spouse, a visa, a child…

Yet it didn’t happen.

The contract was cancelled.
The proposal was rejected.
The exam was failed.
The visa was denied.
And you’re left wondering, Did Allah not hear me? Did He turn away?

But pause… and reflect.

> "…But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not."

(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:216)

Allah’s wisdom is far above our comprehension. He sees what we don’t. He plans what we can’t.

I know of someone who saved up for years, did everything possible to go for Hajj, but each year, something blocked the way until one day, Allah opened the door in a way he never imagined. He wept not just from joy, but from finally understanding why the earlier delays happened.

I know of a brother who was heartbroken after losing a job contract that he thought would change his life only to return home and find his true change: a pious wife and a peaceful life.

Even for me, I once praying earnestly to gain ission into a particular university. I was serious, I fasted, did I’tikaf, made tahajjud… everything. But the ission never came. I was crushed. Four years later, Allah wrote something more beautiful: I was posted there for NYSC and got paid by the same university that once rejected me.

Dear friend, if Allah delays your request, it’s not neglect rather it’s protection.
If He redirects your path, it’s not rejection, it’s mercy.
If He gives you silence instead of a “yes,” it’s because He wants to give you something better than what you asked.

Keep trusting. Keep walking.
One day, you’ll look back and whisper, Alhamdulillah for not getting what I wanted… because what Allah gave was better.

May Allah strengthen our hearts to trust His perfect wisdom and bless us with contentment in His decree.
Ameen.

Episode 90 - Reduction formulas
In this episode (Episode 90), I introduced a powerful technique called the reduction formula, which helps simplify the integration of certain complex functions. Often, integrating some functions can be technically challenging, especially when using repeated applications of integration by parts. However, with a reduction formula, we can streamline the process and avoid lengthy iterations.
Following the author’s exposition in Program 18, Frames 1–12 (page 821), I derived reduction formulas for integrands such as x^ne^x, x^n
sinx, and x^n cosx. I also demonstrated how to apply these formulas effectively in solving integrals.

By the counting of the NSCIA, today is the 25th of Dhul-Qa’dah. This means the sacred month of Dhul-Hijjah—the final month of the Islamic calendar—will begin either this Monday (28th) or Tuesday (29th).

With its arrival comes the most spiritually rich days of the entire year—the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.

Let this sink in for a moment:

These days are more beloved to Allah than even the days of the last ten of Ramadan.
Yes, those blessed days and nights you strove so hard in—these ten days are even greater in reward.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
The companions asked, “Not even Jihad?”
He replied, “Not even Jihad in the path of Allah, except a man who goes out with his life and wealth and returns with neither.”
(Narrated by al-Daarimi)

What kind of days could be so immense that not even Jihad matches their reward?

These are days filled with mercy, with light, with opportunity. They are gates opened to Jannah, waiting for the faithful to walk through.

If you’re not among the pilgrims, don’t feel left out. Allah has gifted you ways to earn immense reward right where you are:
Fasting
The Prophet ﷺ used to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, especially the 9th—The Day of ‘Arafah, which wipes out sins of the previous year and the coming one.
Can you imagine? Two whole years of sins forgiven for one sincere fast.

Dhikr
Revive your heart with remembrance:

Allahu Akbar

Alhamdulillah

La ilaaha illAllah

SubhaanAllah
Say it often. Say it with love. Say it out loud (for men), and softly (for women). Let your home, your commute, and your heart echo with it.

Repentance
These are days to clean your slate. Turn to Allah and say, “O Allah, I return to You. I regret my sins, I seek Your mercy.”
He is waiting for you. Don’t delay.

Udhiyah (Sacrifice)
Offer a strong, healthy animal in gratitude and love. Not the blood or the meat, but your taqwa (consciousness of Allah) will rise to the heavens.
As Allah says:

“Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is your piety...” (Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)

Let’s not waste this gift.
These days are not ordinary days. You may not live to witness them again. Make them count.

May Allah grant us sincerity, strength, and the ability to fill these days with fasting, dhikr, charity, repentance, and sacrifice. May He write us among those whom He loves and forgives.
Ameen.

A House in Paradise: A Promise for the Consistent Worshipper

In this world, no matter how beautiful or well-constructed a house is, the truth remains: we will leave it one day. Whether it's due to relocation, decay, or the certainty of death, our homes here are temporary. But imagine receiving a guaranteed house in Paradise i.e. an eternal, perfect dwelling that never fades, never leaks, and never requires maintenance. Wouldn’t that be the ultimate real estate investment?

Now, consider this: whoever is given a house in Paradise will surely enter Paradise. It is not just a structure; it’s a divine promise and a profound honor. And the path to it isn’t through millions of naira or dollars. Rather, it's something within reach of every believer i.e. praying twelve voluntary rak‘ahs each day.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Whoever prays twelve rak‘ahs voluntarily every day and night, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih Muslim, 728)

These twelve rak‘ahs are spread around the obligatory prayers and include: two before Fajr, four before Ẓuhr and two after it, two after Maghrib, and two after ‘Ishā’. Simple, consistent acts that—if observed regularly—earn such a grand reward.

Sadly, many of us underestimate these nafil prayers. We get caught in the busyness of life and overlook these golden opportunities. But if we truly believe in the reward, how can we be negligent?

Even more beautifully, the Prophet ﷺ emphasized consistency:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This means it is not about lengthy, overwhelming acts of devotion, but rather the habit of showing up daily, humbling oneself before the Lord, and seeking His reward and mercy.

So let today be your new beginning. Include these rak‘ahs in your daily routine before and after the obligatory prayers and renew your intention to build your home in Jannah.

May Allah grant us sincerity, consistency, and a house in Paradise that will never be taken away. Ameen.

Just pause and ask yourself: Is there any religion more complete than Islam?

A religion that doesn't just guide us in prayer and fasting…
But teaches us how to sleep, eat, enter the restroom, and even what to say when engaging in intimacy with our spouse?

Yes, even in our most private and pleasurable moments, Islam offers us a beautiful and powerful du‘ā—words of protection and blessings.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“If one of you says before having intercourse with his wife:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا

Bismillah, Allahumma jannibna ash-shaytaan, wa jannib ash-shaytaana ma razaqtana

(‘In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep the Shayṭān away from us and keep the Shayṭān away from what You provide for us’)

…then if it is decreed that they should have a child, Shayṭān will never harm that child.”_
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 141)

But take note: by halal intercourse, we mean intimacy that occurs within the sacred bond of marriage.
In Islam, pre-marital and extramarital sex is strictly forbidden. It transgresses the limits set by Allah ﷻ and leads to immense spiritual and societal harm. Engaging in such acts invites the displeasure of our Creator.

Yet for the lawful couple, Islam elevates even this act of pleasure turning it into an act of worship, of blessing, and of reward.

Let us revive this beautiful Sunnah.
Let us honor the completeness of our Deen.
Islam is not just a religion; it is a way of life.

This morning, I came across a post describing someone who had been struggling with sadness, rejection, illness, and failure but concluded that the only thing that kept him grounded was Ṣabr.

SubḥānaLlāh, isn't that the story of many of us?

Whether you're waiting for a job, a spouse, healing, ission, a visa, or just a sense of peace: patience is the rope that holds us back from falling into despair.

Allah says:

"Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient."
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:153)

This is not just a verse to recite; it’s a promise from the Creator to those who hold on when things seem unbearable.

We're bound to face moments when things don’t go as planned. We prepare, pray, and anticipate results yet we get delayed, denied, or tested. That moment is when Ṣabr steps in to remind us that Allah sees the full picture, and He might be saving us from something worse or preparing us for something better.

If you’ve been praying and waiting, know that every delay isn’t denial. It might be a divine redirection. If you’ve been crying and hurting, know that your tears are not wasted in Allah’s sight. If you’ve been disappointed by people, understand that Allah might be calling you closer to Himself.

Hold on. Be patient. Stay hopeful. Keep praying.
One day, the same thing you're crying about now will become your reason to smile by Allah's mercy.

May Allah ease our affairs, heal our hearts, and grant us the strength to remain patient in all situations.
Ameen.

How many times has a single lie led to a chain of lies, each one created just to cover the previous one until a person finds themselves trapped in a web of deceit?

Wait, but can any lie change what Allah has already destined to happen? Absolutely not!

What is meant to reach you will reach you, and what is not meant for you will never be yours no matter how smart your lies may seem.

So why not just say the truth from the beginning and be free from the burden of creating endless lies?

Apart from the curse Allah places on liars, the Qur'an clearly states:

"May Allah curse the liars."
(Surah Aal-Imran 3:61)

Lying is also morally degrading. It strips away your dignity and trust. People don’t value the words of habitual liars, no matter how sincere they may sound later. Your first impression often defines your legacy.

You may try to convince others you are now truthful, but once you're known as a liar, regaining trust becomes almost impossible.

Let’s stop this habit. Let’s speak the truth no matter the circumstance. When you commit to truthfulness, it shapes your character, strengthens your faith, and earns you the love and respect of those around you.

May Allah make us among the truthful and keep us firm on the straight path.
Ameen.

I recently came across a post where someone claimed they charge $18,000 to mentor others. Yes, eighteen thousand dollars! And while everyone has the right to value their time and effort, I think we first need to reflect on something before we agree with the person.

What about the reward from Allah?

What if you mentored someone, helped them, guided them not for money, but for the sake of Allah?

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"When a person dies, all their deeds end except for three:

(1) Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), (2) Beneficial knowledge, Or (3) a righteous child who prays for them.”
(Sahih Muslim 1631)

Mentoring is one of the most powerful forms of beneficial knowledge because it multiplies.

One mentee becomes ten. One spark of guidance may become a fire that lights the path for generations.

And you want to trade that for $18,000 or more?

Yes, $18k is a lot but what if Allah repays you with more than money?

What is good health worth? People spend fortunes to regain it.

What about safety? How many would give everything to escape danger, kidnapping, or illness?

What about seeing someone succeed and knowing you were part of that journey? The joy, the dua, the barakah. I think these are priceless.

How many teachers today were ed, rewarded, and rescued from hardship by former students they once mentored for free?

Let’s not reduce mentorship and guidance ONLY to a business transaction. Sometimes, what you offer for free or at lesser price becomes the ladder that lifts someone out of darkness and Allah makes you their reason for success.

To those who think of charging just because others do, please pause.
Maybe your $18,000 is already on its way from the One who sees what no one sees.

Be kind. Be generous. Be the one who gives, even when others take.
Your real reward is with Allah, and it never fades.

May Allah make us vessels of beneficial knowledge and bless us with hidden barakah in ways no money can match. Ameen.

"He has never done anything for me"
"He has never spent on me."
"He abandoned me and the kids."
"He's the worst man I’ve ever met."
"I paid the children’s school fees myself."

These are just a few of the many damaging statements we hear often from some wives in moments of anger, bitterness, or while trying to score sympathy from others. But how many of them are really true?

And even if they are partially true, is complete erasure and ingratitude justified?

Some women, out of frustration or desire to paint their husbands in a bad light, ignore years of effort, sacrifices, and struggles that those same men made to keep the home standing.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ once said:

“I was shown the Hellfire and found that the majority of its dwellers were women.”
The companions asked, “Why, O Messenger of Allah?”
He said, “Because of their ingratitude.”
It was said, “Are they ungrateful to Allah?”
He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and deny the good done to them. Even if you do good to one of them for a lifetime, then she sees something (she dislikes), she will say: ‘I have never seen any good from you!’”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 29, Muslim 907)

Subhāna’Llāh! What a frightening consequence for something that may seem as small as words yet the pain it causes, the injustice it inflicts, and the lies it spreads, are enough to anger the One who sees all.

I once came across a story of a woman who constantly told people her husband was wicked that he never provided, never loved her, and never cared. Her friends believed her.

But when the man died, and reality hit, she discovered that no one was ready to bankroll her sorrows. The man who had sheltered, fed, and clothed her for years even if imperfectly was gone. Her fabricated image of him couldn’t provide. She was left in regret, and only then itted that she exaggerated and lied. But it was too late.

Gratitude Is a Sign of Īmān
Allah says:

“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]...”
(Surah Ibrahim, 14:7)

Let us all women and men learn to appreciate the little, praise the efforts, and pray for the one we married.

Marriage is not always 50/50; sometimes it's 80/20, sometimes 100/0 and only Allah knows the burdens each one silently carries.

If your husband truly does wrong, seek solutions with wisdom. But don’t lie. Don’t exaggerate. And don’t turn people’s hearts against the one who might be doing his best in difficult times.

Let us learn to say: “Jazaakallahu Khayran, may Allah continue to bless you for all that you do.”

Even if it's small gratitude invites barakah.

May Allah grant us tongues that are truthful, hearts that are grateful, and homes that are full of mercy and peace.
Ameen.

Lately, news of CBEX crashing and the heartbreak it left behind has shaken many Nigerians: our brothers and sisters who invested their hard-earned money with the hope of financial upliftment, only to watch it vanish. May Allah ease your pain and replace your loss with something better. Ameen.

But this is also a wake-up call. Islam teaches us to be cautious, responsible, and honest in our dealings. Sadly, many of these schemes, including CBEX and similar “investment platforms,” fall under what is clearly impermissible in Islam.

Why Ponzi Schemes Are Haram in Islam
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment system where early investors are paid profits from new investors’ money, not from real business activity. It thrives on deception, gambling, and unsustainable promises.

Islamic principles strongly condemn such dealings because they violate the core values of fairness, transparency, and mutual benefit. Allah warns us clearly in the Qur’an:

“O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, sacrificing to stone alters, and divining arrows are abominations of Satan’s handiwork. So avoid them that you may be successful.”
(Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:90)

In fact, when someone invests in these schemes with the hope that others will and their money will multiply, it becomes a form of gharar (excessive uncertainty) and maysir (gambling)—both of which are clearly prohibited.

If a person puts in ₦10,000 in hopes of getting ₦30,000, without knowing how the money is truly being used, it becomes a gamble, not a business. They may profit or they may lose everything. This risk isn't calculated, productive investment it's just rolling the dice with one’s sustenance.

WHAT MUSLIM SHOULD DO INSTEAD?

Let this be a reminder for us all:

Avoid the "quick money syndrome"—it often leads to regret.

Invest only in halal, ethical business opportunities where your risk, effort, and returns are clear and justifiable.

Trust in slow, consistent effort, and that true barakah comes from Allah, not from hype.

To those who have lost their money in CBEX or similar platforms, know this:
Allah sees your pain and your loss is a test, not a punishment. Reflect, repent if needed, and move forward. May Allah replace your loss with something more lasting and pure.

Let us all learn and encourage one another to seek halal means of sustenance.

May Allah protect us from the traps of Shaytaan, and grant us contentment, barakah, and halal wealth. Ameen.

Episode 15 - Lauching the Working Groups

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya4JwIP2DPA

This week, we launched the Working Groups with the aim of applying everything we’ve learned in R within the context of experimental methods, specifically using the RCT (Randomized Controlled Trial) approach in research.

I gave a summary of what we’ve covered so far, explained the position of RCTs in the hierarchy of evidence, and presented a step-by-step guideline for conducting experimental research. This is the framework we will follow as we aim to submit our findings—preliminary results to conferences, and subsequent studies to highly ranked journals for publication.

We concluded the session by evaluating the submitted research topics to determine whether they are suitable for RCTs, and participants were asked to draft their pre-registration following the provided guideline.

Assalamu Alaykum

Today is the 13th of Shawwal (according to the NSCIA counting), and many of us still haven’t started the six recommended fasts of Shawwal.

If you are one of them, this is a gentle reminder:

You can still make it. Even if you start today and fast one day on, one day off, or spread it out—you’ll still complete it before Shawwal ends, in shaa Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted for a whole year.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Just six more days for a reward like fasting a whole year—don’t let Shaytaan whisper that it’s too late or too difficult.

You fasted the long days of Ramadan with strength and devotion.

Now, just six more scattered or consecutive can bring you everlasting reward.

Start today. Don’t miss this immense blessing.
May Allah make it easy for you and accept it from us all.
Ameen.

Episode 6

In the past episodes, we explored how to decompose rational expressions, both proper and improper,r into their partial fractions when the denominator consists of linear factors.
In this video, you will learn how to handle rational expressions where the denominator contains an irreducible quadratic factor.
