Hello everyone. I've been following the thread since I started my Express entry application, I got ITA in the last draw and I've been trying to package my application but I've met a few stumbling blocks which I hope gurus here will be able to help with. 1. My son's name was misspelt on the medical form but when we discovered the error and ed the physician, we were told the results have been sent already and can no longer be altered. I'm thinking swearing an affidavit to state that it was an error since the port number is the same will help or what do you guys advise? 2. We've taken a number of port photos and they still didn't meet the photo requirements, how have you guys been going about meeting the right specifications for the photos? Any one with a good photographer that can take the required photo can PM his/her . Thanks. |

feddy27: I traveled with a veeeeery energetic 2-year old at almost 35 weeks and I don't think I'll do it again ![]() We left home with a stroller but decided on not using it b4 we got to the airport. Also decided not to use the wheelchair I had booked. My hubby and sister accompanied us to the airport, so my sister held him while my husband and I went to check in my luggage. We had 2 carry-on baggage , one with a wheel, the other a shoulder diaper bag that can be placed under the seat in front of us containing in-flight essentials such as; diapers, extra clothes, socks, tissue, face towels, hand sanitizer, water bottle, cereal, small yogurt packs, biscuits etc. His cutleries were seized at MMA because they had stainless tips, plastics ones would . The other smaller suitcase had mainly my laptop, ipad, more cereal, juice packs etc, basically stuff we won't need in-flight. So we attached the diaper bag to the suitcase and just wheeled them along with one hand and held him on the other. Though this didn't work all the time as he ran off sometimes and made me chase him. He didn't like the food they served him on board on all the legs but he ate mine. I didn't really have to carry him so much but I let him have his way when it was possible. I regretted not packing his coloring books and a few toys in our carry-on because I thought we would get some in-flight but we didn't get jack! That would have distracted him when he got bored. He slept for most of the flight from Lagos to Paris that I had to wake him up to walk when we landed cos there was no way I was gonna carry him. However on the Paris- Atlanta leg, he didn't sleep so much and as a result he was very active and wanted to leave his seat every now and then, so we had to be taking frequent walks to the loo which helped my legs anyway. When we got to Atlanta and picked up our bags, my two hands weren't always free because I had to push the trolley, this was when he enjoyed all the freedom he craved, he kept playing catch with me. The part that terrified me was when we got out to pick a taxi, he ran to the middle of the road, beaming at me to come catch him. I couldn't chase him to prevent him from going further, I just stood there calling his name and waving my phone at him to come speak with daddy till someone grabbed him from behind and I was able to catch up with him! I was very tired and I just kept wondering why he wasn't too and where he found his energy. Anyway, the lessons I learnt from the trip if I'll ever do it again are; 1. Maybe the stroller could have been helpful if he agrees to seat in it, that would prevent him from running off. However the downside to this would be how to push the stroller with the luggage after claiming them. 2. I'll carry a lot of activity-based toys in our carry-on bags, to keep him busy in-flight and while waiting for our connecting flight. 3. Try to limit my carry-on bag to just one back-pack. All in all, it wasn't too bad but not sure if I would do it again. The good side is that I'm "enjoying" his company now and he's keeping me busy. Hope you'll pick a thing or two from my experience ![]() 18 Likes |

Hi people. So I finally get to share my interview and PoE experiences. Pretty uneventful except the part where I discovered that my port wasn't stamped 2 days after my arrival. So I made the application for myself, hubby and son and went for our interview in March armed with the burden of proof and all. Thanks to all the people that made this thread what it is! The interview went like this; VO: Hello Us: Hello VO: Where are you going ma'am? Me: Atlanta VO: What's happening there? Me: To have our baby at NSH. VO: What's your budget for the trip? Me: About 19K USD VO: What do you do? Me: I work as a .... with ... VO: What are your roles? Me: I explained my job description briefly VO: What do you Sir? Hubby: I work as a .... with XYZ VO: What kind of company is XYZ? Hubby: It's a ... manufacturing company. VO: Ok. (types briefly) VO: How do you intend to fund the trip? Me: We have a t savings with about xx million naira, we intend to fund the trip from that . VO: Your visas have been approved. Make sure you carry all your receipts when going in and out of the US. That was it. No documents were checked. After about a month of filing an application, Igot 2k PTA from Standard chartered. Hubby's own was canceled after the floating currency policy was launched. (I canceled the Form A application for my hospital bill yesterday after almost 2 months of applying and na still story I dey hear). Flew Air and traveled at 34 weeks 5 days with a very active 2-year old. The airline asked for a copy of my F2F from my hospital. I booked wheelchair service but didn't use. Had about 4 hours stop at Paris. Flight was ok but the seats were too tiny with very little room. Just one meal and a snack were served on each leg. No colouring books for the kids. I was really disappointed in AF. Anyway, we landed safely in Atlanta and ed the long but swiftly moving queue. Used a self kiosk to fill in the declaration form. While using the touch screen, my toddler was busy pressing the buttons below and selected Yes for "bringing commercial merchandise to the US" and submitted. The assistant and I were wondering how the form got submitted before we realized it was the boy doing his thing. The CBP interview went thus; Me: Hello Officer: Hi, ports please. Where are you headed? Me: Atlanta is actually my final destination. Officer: What are you here for? Me: To have my baby at NSH. Officer: How much do you have? Me: 2k USD in cash and 7k on my card. Officer: So you're going to pay your bills? Me: Yes. Definitely Officer: You declared food, what sort of food did you come with? Me: Rice, Yam flour, dried fish, crayfish etc (couldn't even everything, was really fagged out!) Officer: What commercial items did you come with? Me: That was an error, (I explained what happened).I didn't come with any commercial items. He took my finger prints. Handed me my ports with the white slips and said I was free to go. I was so relieved but still very tired and said to myself, I'll check how long he stamped me in for when I get home. Picked my bags. Went to agriculture, they ran my bags throught the scanner and said I was free to go. 2 days later, after I had gotten over the stress of settling in, I decided to check my port (in my mind, I was certain, it would have been 6 months). Na so I no see stamp o. Checked my son's, same story! Ran to uncle google and learnt that I could check my ission status on the I-94 site. So I logged in my port details and it returned with the I-94 information, showed the day I entered the US and that I had been itted till December. I was relieved but still decided to send them (US CBP) an email to be sure I won't have any issues due to the absence of the stamp. They replied the following day saying no shaking. Had my first appointment with Dr. VA today. Next one is in 2 weeks. Thanks to all the contributors, I got bulk of the information I used to plan this trip from this thread. 29 Likes |

She needs 400 micrograms (400mcg) of folic acid and she's already having 5 milligrams daily so she's fine regarding folic acid. Those tiny folic acid tablets come in 5mg tablets which is more than sufficient. Cc Rukkington Chinwendym: |

Really? But it wasn't this much in my first pregnancy. Then there's this other feeling I've been experiencing since i was 14 weeks, when I'm on the toilet seat it feels like baby wants pop out. I've discussed with my doctor and he said it could be a UTI but the test came out negative. I tire o. I'm just counting down and praying this ends well as the first one did. creamchiccb: |
