The only reason you would need a transit visa is if you are leaving the airport, entering the country and ing immigration.

If it’s a layover you are still in the airport. No need for visa.

If you haven’t had your visa before the 6 month mark or in 3 months to expiry. Proactively renew your port and resend to them. That may even facilitate your visa .

Like i advised before, if you did your biometrics in Lagos, pls save yourself stress and dhl your port to VFS Lekki as you will get in back in a month max.

I really wonder what the rush is about? If you waited almost 2-3years for PPR, what is a month that you cant wait it out.

I am here for my friend today. He received a mail from IRCC to provide 6 months bank statements from his bank s and 6 months payslips for his place of work. The thing is, he got a gift deed from his dad for his POF, along the line, he had to transfer the money back to his dad...what's the way out for him?

I used FD and I used the search button a lot before I submitted mine and found out:

If you're using a recent FD certificate, show the source of the money else there's a chance you may get an ADR for your bank statements (esp if you're unemployed or salary isn't so high)

If your FD certificate is a couple of years old then the certificate alone would do for POF.

Some people accompanied the FD certificate with generic bank letter, others didn't. Both groups have gotten PPR

i used treasury bill cert. i had been running T bills for a while. so i submitted that and combined with some money in . to make up the por. i submited statement to show my salary( im pnp though).

you can use fixed deposit certificate for it . i would advise its a long term fixed deposit so it can convince them its your money. not those 30days deposit o.

if its in dollars you saving, it should be that amount. if in other currencies, you should do above the amount due to instability of the exchnage market, better to be above than below .

you must have it as long as you are not in Canada already on a work permit. You can use gift deed or sale of asset too. Check page 1
