Good evening all,

Please advise for a family of 3 where wife is primary applicant with 5k funding available. Husband will apply for SOWP plus a 7month old baby.

Available fund is 74m in total across naira nd USD.

Land worth 11m.

Would you suggest we apply together or wife and child first.

Also would the 74m be sufficient as POF if we want to apply as family?

I'll be glad to get response.

My suggestion for you in order to increase your ties back home, I'll recommend applying alone. Once your visa is out, you can then file for your accompanying spouse and little baby.

Happy New Month Everyone

From what I see. The two of you are friends. Help @BillQ get his money back from your friend. You can not be walking with a scammer and you say they should not associate you and him. Who are you deceiving? You know about the money. You know everything but because you want your share you didn't say anything. They now called you and him scammer and you're now saying they should not call you. The two of you better return his 2 million naira

@Chibumalasia

"Justmellow" is just a member of the Nairaland platform. All I know about him is that he has been contributing to this honorable group over the years. As for the alleged scam involving 2 million naira, I have no knowledge of it. I don't have his direct outside of this platform, nor do I know him personally or recognize his appearance. I've been active on this platform long before his presence. Associating me closely with him and accusing me of being aware of any scam is unfounded. I encourage the victim to take the necessary legal steps to recover the money from the it was paid into, as I have no involvement or information about the transaction in question. A Clear Conscience Fears No Accusations!

Thanks and have a great weekend.

Frank Robben and Justmellow scammers. I pray to meet thrm one on one especially that Justmellow I will shoot him at first glance . Fraudsters, broke bastards.

Dear @BillQ,

I recently came across your comment on Nairaland where you mentioned my name in association with fraudulent activities. I want to set the record straight and address this head-on.

Firstly, I want to express my surprise and disappointment at the accusations made against me. As an individual committed to integrity and transparency in all my dealings, being labeled as a scammer is not only offensive but also damaging to my reputation.

I would like to clarify that I have no involvement in any fraudulent activities, including the situation you mentioned with "Justmellow." If there are any misunderstandings or issues you've with "Justmellow," it's not linked to me nor do I have any connection with "GCMSWriters" on Instagram or Telegram as your previous posts mentioned.

In light of these accusations, I kindly request that you provide any evidence or specific instances where my actions may have led to such allegations. Transparency is key in situations like this, and I believe that a fair assessment of the facts will demonstrate my innocence.

Please if you've got a problem with a transaction, deal with "Justmellow", Don't drag my name into it. Let's be fair and sort things out where they belong. Thank you!

Even express entry is not a guarantee for PR!it is going AWOL

I totally get where you're coming from. However, you need to understand that the current situation with the study permit pathway for international students, especially from countries like Nigeria, is indeed quite challenging. The financial strain due to the devaluation of the naira against the dollar makes funding education abroad a real struggle without relying on public funds.

The significant 100% rise in living expenses from 10,000CAD to 20,600CAD has further deterred many individuals from opting for study permits.

Moreover, the restriction on spouses of international students pursuing college diplomas from working adds to the frustration surrounding study permits. Why would someone invest significant amounts of money in their education if their spouse cannot work to help with expenses? How many individuals actually graduated with a 2.1 to qualify for a direct master's program? Even if they do, they still face the challenges of a 100% increase in living costs and the depreciation of our currency.

Considering all these factors, opting for the Express Entry pathway for permanent residence appears to be more stable and practical choice. The Category-based selections offer a more reliable and direct route compared to the uncertainties and limitations associated with study permits. In my view, if you can successfully the IELTS or TEF examination, it might be worthwhile to explore the Express Entry route for more stability and enhanced prospects of obtaining permanent residency than study permit.

It's great that we are sharing our individual perspective on this matter. While each pathway has its pros and cons, but I would choose the permanent residence route over and over, than the study permit route at this time.

Wishing you all the best in your endeavors, and it's nice to reconnect after a while. Take care!

Hey everyone,

I have some interesting news to share with you all. So, it turns out that the person, Mr. Matthew Olaoluwa Ikumoniyi who has been bouthing my consultancy firm is actually an agent himself! Can you believe it? They go by the name "Genuine Travel Consultant - Canada" on Facebook. Attached is a screenshot of his page!.

Here's the kicker: this person, Matthew Olaoluwa Ikumoniyi had the audacity to come to this honourable forum to speak ill about students using agents for their applications, all while secretly being an agent himself. Talk about hypocrisy, right? It seems like there's a whole lot of envy going on here.

Instead of starting a competition he can't even defend, he should focus on building his own brand. I mean, come on, let's be real here. There's room for everyone to succeed without resorting to false accusations and shady tactics just to draw more clients to yourself.

At the end of the day, I believe in the power of my own services and the value i bring to my clients without any form of criticism!. Its all about helping students achieve their goals and providing top-notch . That's what matters most.

Be warned for the very last time, this would be my last response to any of your posts. Go and build your own brand and stop criticising my profile.

MY TESTIMONY

My family of 4 landed in Canada 10th December so I am writing from Canada. The journey started 2022 August/September when I got ission for Spring 2023 .We have enough funds to give an agent to help us handle it .However, I can handle it myself but I just wanted to focus on other things.

My spouse and I ed @Frankrobnn1,this guy messed up our application ,after payment of 600,000(agency fee) for family of 4 ,I was calling to beg him to even submit my application. I could December 2022 had to send him 30,000 for Christmas so that more attention could be given to my application. if you see the way this guy handled the application coupled with the SOP he wrote to it, newcomers to Canada Visa processing application will not write the type of SOP @Frankrobnn1 wrote to my application.

After visa refusals, I had to cancel my ission with the school and request for tuition refund ,now process another ission to another school for Jan 2024 intake which brought me and my family to Canada now.

I had to handle this application myself ,when I compared my packaging with what your so called guru did for me, I now realized that agent is a scam ,waste of time and funds ,they are out to collect your funds ,they are not after your success ,Even after refusal he was expecting me to pay him another 600,000.

Please for God's sake, the government website is cic.gc.ca for those that doesn't know. everything is there .Try and read up and get all the information needed on the government website. You can handle your application yourself...PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR FUNDS WITH AGENTS add it to your POF. Expenses Dey here oooo you need lots of money. I am always available for questions and clarifications and so many others are here willing to help you. MAY GOD HELP US ALL. Happy Xmas and New Year in Advance.

See you all in Canada.

Compliment of the season to everyone,

I want to take a moment to address some recent comments made about me. I understand that criticism is a part of doing business, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Firstly @subzheero, upon initial with our firm, you were informed that should your visa be refused, we do charge for reapplication, but we offer a discounted rate of 50%. This was clearly highlighted in the retainer agreement form before you had retained us to work on your application. The communication and how the entire process works, was made known to you right from the start.

Regarding the claim that we wrote a shabby Statement of Purpose (SOP) resulting in a rejection, I take this seriously. We have a team of experienced professionals who work diligently to create strong and compelling SOPs tailored to each individual's unique background and aspirations. While we strive for excellence, we understand that not every application will have a positive outcome. However, our track record of approvals far outweighs our rejections. It's important to that the decision ultimately lies with the immigration authorities, and there are various factors they consider not just the sop.

The presented here implying that your application was refused due to being poorly presented and prepared by me is not correct. The sop was also shared with you prior to submission as it required your approval. The application package was approved for submission by you, as there were no concerns at that point. It was only after receiving a negative outcome that you expressed concerns, which are here in this online .

I also want to emphasize that even the best law firms in Canada receive negative reviews. It's impossible to please everyone, but I am committed to learning from and continuously improving in my services.

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors

Good day all Gurus in the house.

I have the proof of funds to cover my self and 5 other family for two years.

However, except for my eldest daughter, all my family are in the US. And I was recently denied a U.S. visa because of this.
My dilemma is if I should apply for a study permit for my eldest daughter simultaneously as I am applying for my own or I should wait till mine is approved and then apply for her. I do not want to leave her behind.
If I am to apply alone and fill that I am not going with her (home ties), when can I apply for her?
My resumption is Sept 2024 and I plan to apply in March.
Thanks in advance for your response.

It might be better for you to apply alone first to increase your chances of getting the visa and also to strengthen your home ties by showing that you'll be coming back after your studies. Once your visa is approved and you're still in Nigeria, you can then apply for your eldest daughter to travel with you to Canada. When applying for her visa during this time, you can change the story a bit and explain that she can't cope being alone back home and would really appreciate her companionship. Just make sure to provide all the necessary documentation and information to your case. Good luck with the applications, and I hope everything works out for you and your family!

Thanks for your response I really appreciate,
My second question is also on POF.. please my program is 2 years, do i need to show POF of the 2 years tuition fee plus 2 years living expenses OR i can show my first year tuition plus 1 years living expenses, pls which one is required to grant visa.. my school is in Ontario.

In general being self sponsored, it's a good idea to show POF for the entire duration of your program, which includes tuition fees and living expenses. This demonstrates that you have the financial means to yourself throughout your studies without working to pay for your fees in Canada. Good luck with your visa application! πŸ€πŸ’Ό

Hey there!, While a newly ed business may raise some initial concerns for the visa officer, it doesn't necessarily mean it will negatively impact your visa application. The key is to provide clear and detailed documentation to demonstrate the legitimacy and stability of the business. This can include business registration documents, financial statements, previous invoices, contracts or agreements, and any other relevant information that showcases the viability and existence of the business over the past few years. It's important to present a strong case and address any potential concerns proactively in your application. Good luck, and I hope everything goes smoothly for you! πŸ€žπŸ“

Good afternoon everyone,

I’m about to submit my visa application but I’m stuck on POF decision. My Uncle is my sponsor and he will be transferring the amount to my . What are the things you think I’ll need to submit apart from my statement of and his own?

NB: He’s transferring the money from his company’s not from his personal , but long before now he used to pay for my school fees with a transfer from the same (his) company. Also over 4 years now he’s been sending me monthly allowance (like airtime token), the amount he sent a to my is 10K monthly. What would you advise? Thank you so much.

When it comes to proving your Proof of Funds (POF), in addition to your statement of and your uncle's statement of , you may want to include a letter of from your uncle. This letter can explain the nature of the transfer from his company's and how he has been ing you financially over the years. It's also a good idea to include any relevant documentation, such as bank statements or transaction records, to show the regular monthly allowance he has been sending you. These additional documents can help provide a comprehensive picture of your financial situation and strengthen your visa application. Good luck with your submission! πŸ€žπŸ“„

Do I need to show a picture of my fish pond??
As I have done power of attorney and affidavit of facts for my landed property.
Do I need to show evidence of the fish pond?

It's great to hear about your fish pond business and your landed property. When it comes to showing evidence in your Statement of Purpose (SOP), it's generally a good idea to provide ing documents for any claims you make. Please, house I need your help, I applied to 3 schools and I'm planning to apply to the 4th one for falls intake but out of the schools I received update from CIMT but I'm not going there bc of the PGWP they don't have and the next school which is Holland sent me an update with student number but no ission yet.

My questions are:

Is there hope that Holland would give me ission since they have sent me student number or I should proceed by applying to 4th school bc I don't want to miss falls intake for 2024.

I dont see people here talking about Holland, does it mean Holland isn't good enough or any issues I need to know please experts help me.

Thank you

@Frankrobbn1 and others

I totally get your concern about the issions from Holland and not wanting to miss the fall intake. It's great that you've received a student number from them, which shows that they are processing your application. While I can't guarantee ission, having a student number is somewhat a positive sign but not assured.

As for people not talking about Holland, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good school. It could simply be that it's not as well-known or popular among the people you've interacted with. It's always a good idea to do some research on the school, check their accreditation, programs, and student reviews to get a better idea of its reputation.

If you're still concerned about missing the fall intake, it might be a good idea to proceed with applying to your fourth choice school as a backup plan. That way, you can have more options and increase your chances of getting accepted for the fall intake.

It's very important to choose a school that aligns with your goals and offers the programs and opportunities you're looking for. Don't hesitate to reach out to the issions offices of the schools you're interested in for more information or clarification.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Good luck with your applications! πŸ€žπŸŽ“

@frankrobbn1 pls i need your help on my sponsor POF.. he actually got a huge amount of money from one loan company to my study. The loan company name is showing on his statement though it was not showing as a loan just like a credit alert. The name carries and an INVESTMENT name.. pls how do I explain this in my letter of explanation. And pls have you seen a scenario like this before and granted visa.
Your swift response would be highly appreciated.

When explaining the funds in your letter of explanation, you can mention that your sponsor received a substantial amount from an investment company, which appeared as a credit alert on his statement. You can clarify that this amount was intended as an investment and it was liquidated for the sole purpose of your education and not a loan for personal use. It's important to provide as much detail as possible and emphasize the purpose of the funds in ing your study.

While I can't guarantee visa approval, I have seen similar scenarios where applicants successfully explained the source of their funds in their letters of explanation. Just make sure to be transparent and provide any ing documentation or evidence that can validate the legitimacy of the funds. , being honest and clear in your explanation is key. Good luck with your application, and let me know if you need any more help! 🀞✨

Hello House. Trust everyone is doing great. I've got some questions:

1. What is the average student visa processing time?

2. My spouse recently secured an ission for September, 2024. Can we start our application now?

3. If we start now, won't our application experience undue delay?

Thank you.

Hey there! Great to hear from you. I can definitely help answer your questions:

1. The average processing time for a student visa can vary depending on several factors, such as the country you're applying from and the specific circumstances of your application. It's best to check with the IRCC for the most up-to-date information on processing times.

2. That's awesome news that your spouse secured an ission for September 2024! Starting your application now is a good idea because it gives you plenty of time to gather all the necessary documents and complete the application process. It's always better to start early to avoid any last-minute rush.

3. Starting your application now shouldn't cause any undue delay. In fact, it can actually help ensure that you have enough time to complete all the necessary steps and submit a strong application. Just make sure to follow the application guidelines and submit all the required documents within the given timelines.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!. 😊🌟

Good morning. I want to begin my student visa application and hopefully after I get my visa we will then do that of my husband. But I have a few questions and I will appreciate answers.
1. While filling my own form on the website should I indicate I am applying with my spouse or not. (We dont want to apply together at once. But after I get my visa he will then apply). So should my answer be yes or no
2. I am using my gtbank for proof of fund. I will the bank statement be done. Gtbank can send directly to the embassy but I saw that there is a space where I have to the bank statement. How do I go about it?
3. After getting my visa and then we begin my husbands application, we will still be using my own bank for proof of fund right? Will they expect that both my proof of fund and his proof of fund will be in the even after getting my own visa?

I'm here to help answer your questions about your student visa application and your husband's application. Let's dive right in:

1. When filling out your own application form, you don't need to indicate that you are applying with your spouse. In fact, it can actually be beneficial to mention that your husband will be staying back as a strong tie to your home country. This shows that you have a solid reason to return after your studies. It's all about showcasing your intentions and ties to your home country.

2. If GTBank can send the bank statement directly to the embassy, that's great! You can select the option to the bank statement on the application portal alongside with your ing proof of funds documents, but make sure to mention in your explanation letter you’ve attached a copy of the mybank statement certificate with your application. This way, the embassy will be aware of the arrangement.

3. After you receive your visa and begin your husband's application, it's generally expected that you will still use your own bank for proof of funds. However, it's always a good idea if your husband can also provide additional documentation or proof of funds in his name as well. Be sure to provide all the necessary information and documentation to his application.

Good luck with your applications! 🀞✨

Hi people, I need clarification on a topic please.

For someone who had previously studied in Canada and had PGWP whose spouse (newly-wedded) wants to go to Canada on Study Visa. Is it possible to get SOWP for the person who has previously studied?

Absolutely, it is possible for the spouse of someone who previously studied in Canada and had a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to apply for a Study Permit as well. The spouse can apply for an Open Work Permit, also known as a Spouse or Common-Law Partner Work Permit (SOWP). This allows them to work in Canada while their partner is studying. It's a great opportunity for both of them to be in Canada together. Just make sure to check the specific eligibility requirements and application process for the SOWP. Good luck to your newly-wedded spouse on their study visa application! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦βœ¨

Please when did Canada use to approve Proof of Funds.....is it before biometrics or after biometrics?

In general, the approval of Proof of Funds (POF) for Canadian visa applications usually happens after the biometrics process. Biometrics is typically one of the initial steps in the visa application process, where your fingerprints and photo are taken. After that, the immigration authorities will review your application, including the POF documentation, to assess your financial eligibility. So, it's usually after the biometrics stage. Hope that helps! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦βœ¨

Please gurus in the house. Can I provide my sibling bank statement as my POF? She will be my sponsor. Is it possible? Or does she have to send it to my ? Please I need advice.

I totally get your concern ing your sibling's bank statement as proof of funds (POF) for your application. As an immigration expert, I can offer some precise advice based on your situation.

Typically, when using a sponsor's bank statement as POF, it's important to show a clear and documented transfer of funds from your sponsor's to your own . This helps establish that the funds are available to you for your studies.

It would be a good idea to have your sibling transfer the required living expenses funds to your own and also present her own statement as the sponsor. This way, you can provide evidence of the transfer, ensuring that the funds are clearly documented and traceable.

Good luck with your application! 🀞✨

Hi guys,

I feel so helpless right now. I applied for Study Visa using an agent. I did my biometrics March 17, 2023 and till this very moment I do not know the status of my application. Agent said application is under processing, meanwhile I requested for IRCC credentials which he refused to give me, so I gave him instructions to and send me the screenshot of the dashboard and he said there was an upgrade on the portal that he could not , immediately I called 2 of of my friends to into their portal to his statement. They both provided me with the screenshots of their dashboard. Now agent is saying that he’s going to provide screenshots in 4 days time. Something did not add up and leaves me wondering the type of application he did maybe he applied via mail, obviously not online application.

I have the UCI number, I don’t know if it is possible for me to check the status of my application using the UCI number and if it is possible for me to create a different portal and start afresh?

I understand how frustrating and helpless you must be feeling right now. It's important to have transparency and access to your own application status.

You mentioned that your agent refused to give you the IRCC credentials and provided excuses about the portal upgrade. It does seem a bit suspicious, especially when your friends were able to provide you with screenshots of their own dashboard.

You have the UCI number, which is great! You can try creating a new on the IRCC portal and linking your application to the new . From there you can track the status of your application using your UCI and Application number. Visit the official IRCC website and look for the "GC Key" section. There, you should be able to create an for yourself and get an update on your application.

If you continue to have concerns or doubts about your agent's actions, it might be worth considering consulting with an immigration expert for further guidance. Hang in there,! 🀞✨

Hello great minds,
Please help me clarify my situation.

I am getting POF of 35m from a bank plus my sister is dashing me 1 million. I have about 5mill in my but it's my husband's. My ission is for Spring/Summer 2024

How should go about this application
1. Should I put the money for POF in my husband to show he's sponsoring me? As am doing Family application
2. Is there need to get my sister's acct docs. & all to show her as sponsor?

Let's clarify your situation for your application. Since you're doing a family application, it's important to consider the best approach for your Proof of Funds (POF).

1. Regarding the POF, if you have 35 million in your own bank and your sister is giving you an additional 1 million, it may be best to showcase those funds as your own. You can provide the necessary documentation for your own bank and the gift from your sister.

2. If you decide to use your husband's , you would need to provide a letter of explanation to clarify that the funds in his are available to your studies. However, it's worth noting that using your own funds and your sister's gift may provide a clearer representation of your financial situation. It doesn't matter if the entire funds are saved up in your for this project, one matters is the availability of the funds.

Good luck with your application! πŸ€πŸ“„

Mr Frank I want to ask the best way to go about getting POF
Can I get it from my bank app and straight to email or am I to apply for printed copies and scan it?
I was told the POF must be stamped physically.

Also, how strongly will you advise ( recommend) someone to use a personal POF different from the sponsor's own?

When it comes to Proof of Funds (POF), it's generally recommended to get a physical copy of the bank statement from your bank. However, if the physical copy appears to be bulky and difficult to compress when ing it on the IRCC portal, you can definitely use the electronic copy instead. It saves space and is easier to compress. Just make sure that the electronic copy is electronically signed and stamped, so it's still considered valid and official. This way, you can save some hassle and make the application process smoother.

As for using a personal POF different from the sponsor's, it can be a good idea in some cases. It shows that you have your own financial resources to your studies. However, it's important to make sure that the funds are genuinely yours and that you can provide the necessary documentation to it.

Good luck with your application πŸ‘.
