When will you people wake up and understand that there are many people in this government that are working with this West African amalgamation of fulani terrorists, in order to achieve their jihad agenda and seize territories. These present rulers can never help Nigeria, they have been morally and spiritually compromised. 1 Like |

epondudu:"get your pvc and vote" -This clearly shows that you are living in cloud cuckoo land. You claim you are patriotic, but it's very obvious you are delusional and living in denial. If the fundamental issues are as simplistic as "get your pvc and vote", then Nigeria will not be in the situation she found herself now. You saying millions are making it and millions are very happy, clearly shows you are quite detached from the Nigeria reality. Your mentality is clearly 'dog eat dog" mentality, and definitely NOT about pride in Nigeria or the common good. Go, continue to selfishly enjoy your "new money", while it lasts...! ![]() 1 Like |

epondudu:"If things are not going right doesn't mean I should be cursing and praying that my nation is destroyed.". -This statement clearly shows that you are very manipulative. So, according to you, when people are disappointed in those they elect and demand for good governance, including security of lives and properties, it means they want to burn down and destroy their nation. The only explanation for your warped method of reasoning will be that, you are one of the very few benefitting from the chaotic situation. |

epondudu:Stop deceiving yourself! You are only proud of the activities of the wicked rulers because you are benefitting from it. The wicked rulers are already destroying the country, and you are also wicked, devious and manipulative by falsely accusing those that are genuinely concerned about poor governance and state of affairs, that they are calling for the destruction of the country. Wicked rulers are really your enemy though you don't know yet. ![]() 1 Like |

sonnie10: Did I propagate at any time that a diabetic should not eat any other food apart from beans? The point I've repeatedly made is that eaten beans gives the diabetic a reasonable bulk meal with good amount of plant protein without them having to taken in so much carbohydrates like rice, bread, garri or yam which raises the blood sugar levels when they break down. Is it practicable, especially in this clime, for a diabetic to live only on vegetable, meat and fish? I'm not your average Nigerian so I don't need to do "gragra" for my junior. Your strange calculations was ignored because it's obvious you're a very poor student of maths- I know because I've taught maths and science. Wisdom dictates that I should protect my mental health from your mathematical gibberish. ![]() |

sonnie10:Let me start from where you stopped: If Beans is taken as carbohydrates, then according to your logic, all natural foods should then be classified as carbohydrates, Including animal food products. This your line of reasoning will be essentially warped. Why? ... because there is no natural foodstuffs that has up to 50 percent protein content when lab tested. So, according to your logic, they should all be classified as carbohydrates. ![]() Secondly, you missed the point I made about beans being a good meal option for diabetics. Let me break the point down a bit more: The bean(and most leguminous grains), is high in percentage plant protein and other essential nutrient elements compared to most other staple foods like rice, yam, bread etc. It is no secret that most common Staple foods are essentially carbohydrates. Knowing that the end end product of the breakdown of carbohydrates is sugar. This sugar end-product of the common Staples when eaten bountifully, raises the blood-sugar level of diabetic patients to an unhealthy level. This is where beans(and other pulses and legumes) comes in helpful. Beans is a foodstuff that has all the essential nutrients like carbohydrates, protein, fat and oil in good quantity, compared to other Staples like rice, bread, yam etc, that are essentially very high in carbohydrates and very low in other essential nutrients. IThats why it is much easier for children to survive mainly on a diet of beans without having kwashiorkor than only on those other staples listed above. The logic is that a diabetic will therefore be able to get most of his basic essential nutrients in a portion of a bean meal without the risk of having to consume a large portion of other high carbohydrates based staples that raises the sugar levels. |

sonnie10:"You position is that bean is a better alternative compared other staple foods in Nigervia when it comes to managing diabetes"- --Are you trying to allocate a "position" for me with the above sentence? Did you read in any of my posts where It said it is a "better alternative" compared to other Staples in controlling diabetes? We all know that there are many eating habits and lifestyles that can help diabetic patients. I want to believe we are having an honest exchange of ideas and not presumptions. The point we are on about is me pointing out that beans is a very good and healthy meal and high in protein, and it's not overated as the impression I felt you tried to on. My friend, those values in the charts show percentages. The percentage of protein you get from 1 tablespoon or a seed of beans is the same percentage of protein you'll get from a tonne of the same beans, as long as the beans are of the same dry mass. This is science and it's also mathematics. We are comparing percentages protein in a given mass of a particular food stuff and the same mass of beans, not about how much tablespoons my uncle can eat. I'm yet to see your own scientific evidence that made you come to the conclusion that 'good-ol' beans is nutritionally overrated. 1 Like |

sonnie10:You're wrong again! There are lots of evidences to the nutritional facts I stated earlier. Some facts are confirmed by friends, acquaintances and personal experiences over the years. I had a diabetic Uncle, and I know how beans consumption helped him to manage the sugar intake in his diet compared to eating heavy carbohydrates diet. The point is not about disputing that beans is not high in carbohydrates, but that it's quite high in plant percentage protein compared to many plant-based food, which makes it very healthy. In addition, the legumes are good in diet for someone recuperating from illness like malaria due to high iron content to help boost depleted red blood cells from the plasmodium attack- I'm talking from personal experience now. I believe your chart is showing percentage protein in certain meal serviings, and not actual percentage protein by mass in different legumes as shown below

Praktikals:What about the selfish, wicked and incompetent ruling cabal? |
![]() |
majesticguy:Wrong logic! What you you should consider is percentage of protein compared to other foodstuffs. Very few food can compete with legumes in percentage of protein. In addition, beans is very high in iron which is very good for the blood. There is also evidence that it helps control blood sugar levels thereby good for diabetics. 1 Like |
