1. Be cautious! While you might be lucky to succeed with those plans, there's a risk involved. If your visa application is unsuccessful, you could lose your tuition deposit. It's essential to familiarize yourself with the institution's tuition deposit and refund policy. From experience, I know a few people who were fortunate, and others who weren't as lucky. That said, some schools are still willing to issue a CAS even after previous visa refusals. Their decision usually depends on the reasons behind the prior refusal. For instance, I had an experience with Middlesex University, London, a few years ago. 2. In my opinion, I believe you should still know the reason for your visa refusal. However, in one instance, I tried a generic response for someone by simply stating, "A visa was refused," and it worked. That was my personal experience, though outcomes can vary. Perhaps someone else could share additional tips that might help. Wishing you the best of luck! iphi: |

Right! Your last paragraph truly captures the essence of everything we've discussed so far. To add to that, while many might attribute success to "luck," I believe the real key is graduating with strong grades—preferably with distinction. From my own experience, this has been one of the biggest advantages. I understand that it's not always easy, especially considering the challenges of integration and adapting to a different educational system, but many people are still managing to make it happen despite these hurdles. I really want everyone to be successful and have a better life. The only thing that hurts me is my inability to help the world achieve this- I WISH!!! Mindlog: |

Oh yes, you are not wrong with your information so far I also know but, my point of emphasis is on my last paragraph. I emphasised about care jobs becoming the default choice and a personal journey of persistence and career development. It also keeps my message motivational, encouraging us to aim for more. However, the reality is that many people have been misled or even scammed by this care job route. It has become a trap for some, where the promise of staying in the UK ends up taking them further away from their original dreams and aspirations. Far too many have abandoned their true goals in the hope of simply staying afloat. Mindlog: |

I understand why people take the route of care jobs — it's often easier, and I’m not against that. However, my concern is that simply following the crowd or opting for the easiest option shouldn't be the default approach. For example, I know people in the UK who were sponsored in IT and Marketing — not just internally, but even directly from Nigeria — without any prior UK experience. Example 1: A friend completed his MSc Chemistry in , then returned to Nigeria after two years of unsuccessful job hunting. He later moved to the UK on a student visa for another MSc in Chemistry. Despite the pressure, he refused to take up a care job. After some persistence, he eventually landed a position at Siemens Healthcare. Example 2: Another friend completed his MSc, rejected the care job sponsorship, and instead earned a PhD scholarship in the USA during his post-study period in the UK. I could give you many more examples from my own experience, but the point is, I’m not against care jobs. What I’m advocating for is professionalism. For instance, if you’ve been working as an engineer or in IT for several years, and you move to the UK to study an MSc in IT, it doesn’t make sense to abandon your expertise and settle for a care job just for sponsorship. You and I are capable of much more, and we should always aim higher. Goodluck!!! They went into care because of sponsorship after msc ,how many people have you seen that collected sponsorship in IT after msc ?
|

I will advise you to broaden your job search beyond the UK. It's important to start building your resume/CV to a high standard as soon as you begin your program. Data science and AI are in high demand everywhere, but , simply having the certificate isn’t enough. Stay flexible, stay updated, and be consistent in your career path. Sadly, I’ve seen many individuals who studied engineering, worked for years up to mid/top-management levels in Nigeria, only to move to the UK, due to fear, impatience, or a lack of information, they ended up taking this care job thing everywhere- quite unfortunate! I wish you the best of luck! purity2all: |

So, because Physics was and is still my best subject, I will write something here. Something like "Medical Physics" will actually pay a lot anywhere! Think about it if its what you can do then, GOODLUCK! I need suggestions please! I have my first degree in Physics and a post graduate diploma in Computer Science, I want to go for Computer Science MSc at YSJ, I want to know if it's preferable to choose the Full time (without an industry placement) or Full time (with an industry placement). Thank you.

I actually read this post some days ago but ignored. Now, I think I just have some spare time to write a few lines for your consumption. Following your claim, l will like to first remind you of something called CONTENTMENT!!! So, if you make enough money and live great in Nigeria already and cannot secure your future then, how can that be possible when you arrive the UK or anywhere else in the world? Or you're thinking of having a second port? VANITY!!! One advise, you need to really know how the abroad works. Living abroad doesn't mean your future is secured or you'll be rich either!!! I started considering japa last month and it has been great following this thread for over a week now. Actually what I'm looking for is a more secured future for my family. We make enough money to live great in Nigeria but currently we're in between expanding our business and relocating to the UK via the study route. I've read some quite discouraging things online especially about how UK is slowing turning into a third world country. I sincerely need honest advise so we can make the right decision between expanding our business here in Nigeria or start the UK relocation plan. Is the UK still worth it in 2025 considering we have to apply for two students visa. Also, I'll appreciate other countries recommendations too. Going for UK because I was told it's the easiest to get study visa. Thanks everyone.
|

Please don’t mislead people with incomplete or limited information. Yes, the UKVI can request updated documents at any time and for any reason! I speak from extensive experience — I’ve traveled to over 87 countries and have handled more than 200 visa applications in the past three years alone (I’m 38, by the way). Let me share a relevant example: A student who had received his visa started his wife’s Proof of Funds (POF) and made application for her visa about a month later. Surprisingly, the UKVI asked his wife to provide her husband's bank statement. In this case, I advised her to ignore the request (,get refused) and wait until her husband had settled in the UK (around 2 months later) before reapplying. She followed this advice, and now they’ve both been in the UK for over a year. PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT YOUR REGULAR AGENT, I JUST DO A LOT OF THINGS FOR KNOWLEDGE SAKE SO, DO NOT ME FOR VISA APPLICATION, ETC! However, you can openly ask me anything about all visa type applications, international jobs- I could help anyhow ![]() Best of Luck! If you're one of these PoF agents looking for more business through PoF renewals, just say so. The funds I used for my application are 100% mine btw - no PoF agent involved. Now, let's say, after keeping your funds for the 28-day minimum period, you apply for visa. One week after application, in anticipation of visa approval, you convert your money to pounds or dollars for easy access in the UK. Because schools will stress - your money must be accessible to you for timely fee payments while in the UK, no excuses. A few days after converting and depositing into your foreign currency acct, you get asked for a new statement? How will your new statement meet the new 28-day requirement? Please, stop conflating the forum with additional rules beyond those stipulated by UKVI. You will be assessed based on the statement you submitted at time of application. They may the statement if they have doubts. According to UKVI Guidance, the verification exercise with your bank will produce one of three outcomes: - Document is genuine - Document is not genuine - Authenticity of document is inconclusive. Shalom? Good gracious. The person who was asked for new statement would have to post the message verbatim or screenshot before I can believe them. Otherwise I don't think you're accurately representing what they were supposedly told by UKVI.
