MrSoftlife: If you're one of these PoF agents looking for more business through PoF renewals, just say so. The funds I used for my application are 100% mine btw - no PoF agent involved. Now, let's say, after keeping your funds for the 28-day minimum period, you apply for visa. One week after application, in anticipation of visa approval, you convert your money to pounds or dollars for easy access in the UK. Because schools will stress - your money must be accessible to you for timely fee payments while in the UK, no excuses. A few days after converting and depositing into your foreign currency acct, you get asked for a new statement? How will your new statement meet the new 28-day requirement? Please, stop conflating the forum with additional rules beyond those stipulated by UKVI. You will be assessed based on the statement you submitted at time of application. They may the statement if they have doubts. According to UKVI Guidance, the verification exercise with your bank will produce one of three outcomes: - Document is genuine - Document is not genuine - Authenticity of document is inconclusive. Shalom? Good gracious. The person who was asked for new statement would have to post the message verbatim or screenshot before I can believe them. Otherwise I don't think you're accurately representing what they were supposedly told by UKVI. 4 Likes |

MrSoftlife: She’s right They ask for a new statement of only lf the bank statement is not authentic |
Perryshow: 9:00pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
Jenniferamy: They probably won't need to ask for new statement if it is not authentic....no need ,na automatic refusal. Having said that , I am not sure if there could be need to ask for updated statement or not o...but even if they would ask for it, not because the one submitted is not genuine , that alone would attract a ban |

Headward: Stay away from that agent by all means, you are about to get scammed and possibly earned yourself a 10yrs ban. Research programs is your way out, work on that and avoid that dubious agent. |

I need suggestions please! I have my first degree in Physics and a post graduate diploma in Computer Science, I want to go for Computer Science MSc at YSJ, I want to know if it's preferable to choose the Full time (without an industry placement) or Full time (with an industry placement). Thank you. |
10011: 12:42pm On Dec 29, 2024 |
I’d suggest the uni to ask more about the placement year. Most unis do not provide any assistance getting you the placement, and you’d have to apply and hopefully, be selected for the job/placement. It can be a lot of hassle finding a tech role in the current job economy. I’d say, the uni, do your research and decide what’s best for you. Fatherspride: |

Fatherspride: If interested in teaching,, look into going for PGDE Secondary Education (Physics), it a one year program and a higher chance of getting certificate of sponsorship as a Physics teacher as the UK is experiencing a shortage of Physics teachers. 3 Likes |

Please don’t mislead people with incomplete or limited information. Yes, the UKVI can request updated documents at any time and for any reason! I speak from extensive experience — I’ve traveled to over 87 countries and have handled more than 200 visa applications in the past three years alone (I’m 38, by the way). Let me share a relevant example: A student who had received his visa started his wife’s Proof of Funds (POF) and made application for her visa about a month later. Surprisingly, the UKVI asked his wife to provide her husband's bank statement. In this case, I advised her to ignore the request (,get refused) and wait until her husband had settled in the UK (around 2 months later) before reapplying. She followed this advice, and now they’ve both been in the UK for over a year. PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT YOUR REGULAR AGENT, I JUST DO A LOT OF THINGS FOR KNOWLEDGE SAKE SO, DO NOT ME FOR VISA APPLICATION, ETC! However, you can openly ask me anything about all visa type applications, international jobs- I could help anyhow ![]() Best of Luck! If you're one of these PoF agents looking for more business through PoF renewals, just say so. The funds I used for my application are 100% mine btw - no PoF agent involved. Gallantboy213: Should this question be here? Let's be organised please. Search for the corresponding forum and relate your queries there. Justwise has done and, still doing a great job so, we should also help to make it even better! Best of Luck! |

I actually read this post some days ago but ignored. Now, I think I just have some spare time to write a few lines for your consumption. Following your claim, l will like to first remind you of something called CONTENTMENT!!! So, if you make enough money and live great in Nigeria already and cannot secure your future then, how can that be possible when you arrive the UK or anywhere else in the world? Or you're thinking of having a second port? VANITY!!! One advise, you need to really know how the abroad works. Living abroad doesn't mean your future is secured or you'll be rich either!!! I started considering japa last month and it has been great following this thread for over a week now. Actually what I'm looking for is a more secured future for my family. We make enough money to live great in Nigeria but currently we're in between expanding our business and relocating to the UK via the study route. I've read some quite discouraging things online especially about how UK is slowing turning into a third world country. I sincerely need honest advise so we can make the right decision between expanding our business here in Nigeria or start the UK relocation plan. Is the UK still worth it in 2025 considering we have to apply for two students visa. Also, I'll appreciate other countries recommendations too. Going for UK because I was told it's the easiest to get study visa. Thanks everyone.[/quote] |
