Don’t you know sarcasm when you hear it ??

Trust me I do.

More than half of those on this thread are getting frustrated with AD. It's really a bad time to be sarcastic. The person who asked the question claimed it was for his/her sister, therefore is not aware of the rudiments of the process. She might just do as Bamsz sarcastically suggested.

How can ur sister not get date? She must have been doing something wrong, tell her to check her booking very well, by the way, did she to mail the embassy? She should not forget to attach her ission letter.... Finally, should call the embassy and make them know it is not coolt! They must consider her application.

@Bamsz, you sounded very sure in your tone. Did you mail the embassy with your ission letter ? Do you also felt you did something wrong in your booking or why do you think you are yet to get a date ? Have you gotten any response till now ? Did you also call them to tell them it's not cool and that you must be giving appointment date?

Please, If you would share information, try atleast not to misinform the person in need of it.

Afternoon Nlanders
Please anyone going for this summer semester who has gotten AD yet?
Because I applied since last year no response from german consulate... Anyone gotten a reply?
Please Nlanders what's your advice?

For summer 2020, no one has come forth with AD for any of the categories apart from those who probably booked wrongly.

Please NLers, when booking appointment for either summer or winter , for cat A , which one do u choose ?
1.Live in Abuja
2.Scholarship
3.TestAs

Note :
1. Am in Lagos
2. Not scholarship
3. Not writing any exams

Please help me out . Thanks fam

If you don't have any of the listed above, then you're only in category A by virtue of your degree which must be 2.1 or first class issued after 2018. If you don't fulfill any, just apply for Category B jejeli. But if you do have the above grade, then you don't have to tick any of the boxes.

Bad or good energy....if he really want to go and wasn't suspecting foul, he wouldn't seek our opinions in the first place.

I think the person already have a decision to make, what happens on Monday would only decide who's right and who isn't. Either way a regret is might be a consequence. That is, not going and regret he never took the chance or goes and face the music at the entrance.

That's d problem people are getting this date's, some booked without ission letter, some have no hope of getting BA or SL. But they booked even very early, d sad thing is that they won't cancel their application, "if I nor go others wont" typical Nigerian, quite sad, people that have this ission and funds can't see this date, days are wasted, so what this coldie guy suggested and probably been doing is it right? Incase u guys don't know the space meant for some few of us, those multiple fake entries will get it, and tell me who will attend? No one. That guy is so daft! Cause he couldn't get a date he began a silly plot. May God have mercy on some of us.

The painful part is that a lot of people are buying into his idea.
May God help us all.

I know they are on thread, heard Paulinus mentioned people gossiping him on nairaland. Did they mention this to u?.
Not directly, I overheard him saying it to some people as well. I believe this process will work if only we allow them do their job and people stop booking with false details. He had so many absentees on his list at the gate. We just keep shooting ourselves in the leg.
dollypeeee: 12:46am On Jan 28, 2020
I want to use this medium to implore us to always do the right thing. We just don't know who might be watching.
The Embassy as a diplomatic mission must surely have a plan they wish to accomplish with the CATEGORY booking and it is our responsibility as applicants to abide by it . As unfavorable as it may look for CAT B applicants, I want to believe that since they are not exclusively excluded from applying and the fact that the embassy even gave an opportunity to improve from the category through TESTAS shows their are not left out. Maybe there's a quota at play.

But growing up as a Nigerian sometimes makes us think we are being owed explanations to almost everything especially from bodies representing saner climes. Our government has not explained why we still can't have stable electricity in 2020 and no one has suggested nor implemented a plan to kukuma destroy all the generators or plants used in state houses, federal ministries etc to see if things will change. But instead we demonstrate an impeccable spirit of patience with the hope that e go better. In 2018, the American Embassy denied a scholarly friend who had secured a full scholarship from a renowned university in the US after scoring very high in GRE and IELTS and a host of other Skype interviews with his potential faculty. This denial was allegedly based on their usual pretext " no strong ties"... What other ties do you expect from a fresh 1st class graduate in his early 20s. According to him, he was not even asked to show his scholarship letter nor other important documents. Questions like are you married or do you have kids have become more important for someone who's going to study. The application for study visa for the US seem to even involve more money and time, you're compelled to write IELTS, GRE in most cases, pay for application fee, SEVIS fee, visa fee and just in a couple of minutes with the V/O, you're handed over rejection for no logical reason. Still the aggrieved didn't suggest spamming the US sites ( their site is too controlled to even entertain that). How many have written to the US embassy or the ambassador, has anything changed ?

on the other hand made theirs accessible, we gain ission with little effort. Most of us even dodge uniassist schools just because of application fees, we dodge schools that request for IELTS etc. In addition to their sophisticated and open approach we don't pay visa application fee in advance. Yet, to show just little faith in the process, some are devising evil plans. Some of us who are privy to how the German application works in the past will tell you that is it a near perfect system. No issue with AD allocations whatsoever. Denials are very few. Since the turn of 2019, the number of applications they receive skyrocketed, they need to improvise. To come up with plans that'll separate those who are truly ready from the fill-ins. How many of us here know in the past that you can go for interview without BA or SL and the embassy will wait till you successfully completed the BA or sent them your SL. But instead we use our usual prejudice as Nigerians to distort real process before it even begun. Some of us have started seeing German visa as entitlements to the extent that they're willing to block the chances of others if it doesn't work for them. This is what has characterize the black mind since the beginning of time. This is exactly the kind of greediness that our ancestors entertained that made them sell their brothers to slave trade. How people result to these ideas still baffles me.

We all want a Nigeria that make sense yet cannot follow a simple due process. We call ourselves future leaders of this great Nation yet acting already like her present foolish and greedy leaders.

I am not against writing the embassy or the ambassador for intervention, but we must understand that the embassy is an embodiment of in Nigeria and has autonomous right to do whatever it pleases. It serves as a legal border between and Nigeria and thereby shouldering (in part) the responsibility of determining who they let into their country.

I can assure you that our complaints and mails arere being received and just because changes are not forthcoming does not mean they're not being acted upon. So please while we're trying not to fold our arms, don't let us overdo things as well. We read the instructions on the German website and we're willing to take our chances, that's why we proceeded. So why do we suddenly want to change half-way. Don't let us make another US out of who'll probably give thousands of appointment dates and consequently thousands of visa denial (laughs). The German embassy is open everyday and people go for interviews everyday. A vast majority may have been the "audio" applicants who used dummy details. See how we are shooting ourselves in the leg. Some might even argue that they can increase the number appointments and work extra hours or have more interview points. they hold the exclusive right to controlling how many Nigerians they let into their country. Because we don't control our population and check our borders for those who we let in does not mean other countries should not.

Please NLs, let's endeavor to follow the process. Let's be advocates of fairness and justice. Let's allow both foreign and domestic authorities to do their job. Let us all have one application and exercise patience with it. And most importantly let's be our brother's keeper.

Thank you and God bless

Leosexy

They said I should exercise patience that there is an issue going on now.
I was at the embassy this morning in the guise of certifying some document hoping to get more information on AD. The last time I sought for advise from NLs concerning a category A booking since 10th of Dec with enrolment deadline of Feb 25th. My question then was if AD, visa etc is still feasible within the short period. Most here on NL suggested that I cancel and rebook.
The lady who attended to me for the certification also confirmed that it's unrealistic that I must cancel and reschedule since I now have another AL with deadline in April.

Just trying to narrate my experience and not to discourage anyone.

Thank you and let's hope they fix this AD issues on time.

Mein Gott!!..Teil acht schon? Wunderbar..I had to even search this thread. Nice to see that everyone is pushing. It's been a while here. Wrote my first exams here yesterday, Deutsch als frendsprachen. It was very cool honestly thanks to some lessons I took back then in naija..so learn if you can. I cant even start stressing that! You know already even if na pidgin german abeg learn am. It's not easy combining studies with work but mann brauche geld, so you just have to. Currently typing this during my smoke break ( I dont smoke tho) and I have exams on monday( better believe that!).
I see theres been a lot of changes since last winter with the booking and all, it shows that is becoming a favourite study destination. So up your game probably write TestAs ( it's for your own good) while applying if possible apply to schools in cities, this is very important if you want to hustle ( ganz richtig). I have friends complaining that they have no jobs yet jobs are very much available in my area. So choose wisely! Ich mussen los. Bis dann!

Which city are you if you don't mind ?

Hello NL,

Please I need your advise and suggestions on the technicalities of the AD.

I've got some AL from some Universities. I used late February as the enrollment deadline of the earliest AL I received in December. I booked for appointment precisely on 10th of December CAT A. Now I have other AL whose enrollment deadlines are further in April.

Now my dilemma is this, February is just around with no sign of AD coming in but I'm hopeful though. Will the embassy or whichever institution responsible for AD understands that enrollment deadlines can be extended or candidates can have multiple AL. Some people suggested that I leave the appointment booking while others were of the opinion that I cancel and rebook since AD, interview, and visa procedures before end of February is almost unrealistic.

Please I really don't know what to do. Your advise and suggestion will go a long way in helping a sister.

Do we have anyone who might have had similar circumstances directly or indirectly ?

Thank you and God bless.
We shall all possess our possessions.

The idea is very stupid, the coldie guy is suggesting this cause he does not stand a chance , after we adviced him to cancel and rebook in the right category until he eventually was bounced now he wants to use your mind's, why not wait for Feb 2nd that's when they would implement their new policies.

Is there anything we should know about February 2nd ? Please share it with us.

Desperation is beginning to set it in ooo
