If you're a legal immigrant and you don't feel safe or at peace in South Africa, then leave because no one is forcing you to stay and contribute to South Africa's economy.

I'll personally never live in a country whereby I don't feel safe or at peace.

That's the xenophobia we're talking about. You shouldn't have to feel that way in the first place if you're a legal, law abiding immigrant. Personally, I don't even want to know what SA looks like, not to mention breathe its air.

Bike taxi is okada, right? Why do I need an app to hail an okada? Something that is everywhere, I just need to walk out of my house to block. Why all the bells and whistles, AI, GPS, voice recognition, etc. What problem are they solving exactly?

Shouldn’t the term "labelling" apply to situations where someone is falsely accused of something? For example, Black South Africans are, in reality, some of the most welcoming people on earth. Yet, they are often (and falsely) labeled as xenophobic by their Nigerian counterparts.

If there’s one person in a neighborhood who has issues with everyone else, isn’t it more likely that the problem lies with that individual rather than everyone around them? Similarly, when a group has issues with people from different countries, aren't we justified in looking into this group for why they can't get along with different other groups?

It’s true that some Nigerians enter South Africa through illegal means and engage in criminal activities. However, this doesn’t mean that all Nigerians fall into this category, nor does it negate the reality of xenophobia in South Africa. This xenophobia isn’t directed solely at Nigerians but extends to other African nationals as well. South Africa’s own cyberspace is filled with evidence of this deep-seated hatred. And let’s not forget the incidents of outright violence that have erupted in the past as a result.

If foreigners are in a country illegally or committing crimes, shouldn’t law enforcement and immigration agencies handle the situation in a civilized and lawful manner? Why must citizens resort to murder and the destruction of property to address issues that their own government seems unable to resolve? How can a legal immigrant—someone who is actively contributing to the economy of their host country—feel safe and at peace when the air they breathe is saturated with so much hatred?

I didn’t realize y'all took your bags so seriously. I guess we learn something new every day. As a child, my mother would send me to her bag to fetch things—usually money for an errand—and I can’t recall ever finding anything remarkable, even though I was a very curious child. Now, as an adult, no woman can send me to her bag for anything. The idea of snooping through a woman’s bag feels far beneath me. What would I even be looking for exactly? If I ever suspected my woman of running monkey business on the low-low, there are far better ways to gather evidence than rummaging through her bag.

I don't think so. There's Chrome OS.

Touché, just checked, Desktop isn't even their major source of revenue, server and cloud are. So even if another company competes in the desktop os market, it won't be enough to take them out with their hold on Azure and server OS. As at Q3 2024, Azure was doing better than Google Cloud with 20% and 12% market shares respectively (according to statistica.com).

Thanks for sharing your insight.

What sort of journalism are they practicing in that their channel. You'll carry your leg go for interview they'll be busy trying to control what you say as if they want to beat you, then immediately try to twist whatever you say into something sensational that'll make headlines. I like her, because she's fine but honestly I don't believe this story. I know a fake story when I see one, especially by a bad liar, it'll be filled with unnecessary details, aimed at concealing the falsehood.

If the man was calling her in the night with his proposal, she should just release the recording shikenan. He can now deny and say it's AI-generated then the court of public opinion will drag in forensic experts to access the recordings for validity.

I no like nonsense wallahi.

Nigerian Man Proudly Shows Off His Queen to His Parents – Love Just Got Sweeter! 💍❤️

Love is a beautiful thing, and when a man finds the one his heart truly desires, the next big step is introducing her to his family. That’s exactly what this Nigerian man did as he proudly took the love of his life home to meet his parents.

For many, meeting the parents is a huge milestone in a relationship—it’s a sign of commitment, respect, and a future filled with endless possibilities. In African culture, family plays a major role in marriage decisions, making this moment even more special.

The heartwarming moment has sparked reactions, with many believing that love only gets sweeter with time. "The older, the sweeter," they say, and this couple is proving just that!

Could wedding bells be ringing soon? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain—love is in the air, and this couple is embracing it fully! ❤️💍

People get mind oo. You go marry woman wey old your mama. The things we do for money sha.

A bride’s father stirred controversy at a wedding by telling the groom, “YOUR WIFE MUST NOT COOK FOR YOU.” His remark immediately ignited heated discussions both at the event and on social media. shocked

Many critics argued that such a statement undermines traditional marriage roles, with some insisting that it weakens the groom’s authority and disrupts household harmony. “The foundation of marriage should be based on mutual roles, and cooking has always been a part of a wife's duty,” one person commented. Others expressed concerns that this could lead to a power imbalance, making the groom feel less in control in his own home.

On the other hand, some defended the father’s perspective, emphasizing that modern marriages are about mutual understanding rather than rigid roles. “The husband and wife should determine what works for them,” a er remarked, arguing that every marriage is unique. Others suggested that when a woman isn’t pressured to cook, she may actually enjoy doing it more willingly. “If a man doesn’t impose expectations, she’ll likely cook for him out of love and not obligation.”

What are they going out to study? Courses available in Kano or not? Wouldn't investing the resources into North West University and upgrading it to international standard or creating more jobs for the unemployed graduates on ground make more sense? You're shipping limited resources over to Europe when our own educational institutions are in a deplorable state. People will go to the ends of the earth to study only to come back and work the same jobs as us who went to public universities in Nigeria. Some of them are even unemployed. Where's the sense in this?

Where the supermarket is located is irrelevant, the same rules apply, it's just that in the western world people pretend to overlook these things because of labour laws.

The reason why your employer does not allow dreads is because they realise that perception is a very big factor in client engagement and retention.

The reason why most companies in advanced countries especially the US tolerate tattoos and dreads is because they don't want to be sued for discrimination.

A business that is paying your salary has a right to determine how you dress generally especially if you are in a role that requires interphase with clients.

You can't expect an employer to happy to employ you if you're going to be looking like a gangster and end up repulsing clients from whom the business is supposed to generate the revenue with which to pay your salary

I understand your perspective—perception matters, and businesses naturally want to align with client expectations. As you've already noted, appearances can overshadow intent. But this raises more questions:

Why do labour laws include anti-discrimination protections? Who crafts these laws, and who do they prioritize—employees or employers?
If diversity policies risk alienating customers, why do many Western companies, especially in the U.S., actively promote them? Is it purely fear of lawsuits, or could embracing diversity improve a business’s reputation and profitability?

Businesses lobby against harmful regulations, yet many comply with diversity mandates. Doesn't this suggest such laws also serve corporate interests, or is compliance a grudging concession to societal change?

Lastly, let me cite a series of studies by McKinsey titled Diversity Wins, about how diversity is good for business.

https://www.mckinsey.com/featured-insights/diversity-and-inclusion/diversity-wins-how-inclusion-matters

Could ‘projecting diversity’ attract younger, "socially conscious" consumers, offsetting risks of alienating traditional clients? For all we know, this could be a coded PR stunt by Walmart after studying their customer base and realizing that this kind of stuff will buy their loyalty.

And by the way, where the supermarket is located is VERY relevant. You simply can't down play the role culture plays in economics.

If you owned a supermarket would you employ a person with this type of appearance to man your check-out counter? undecided

Where's this hypothetical supermarket located? What is the culture of the place?

For example, my job doesn't allow common dreads, meanwhile, its equivalent in other places have people who wear this hairstyle without issue. Dreads or tattoos alone don't necessarily mean that a person automatically has a bad character, and not every culture views it that way.

And my position on Israel is not bias, it is my very soul, if nobody wish Egypt or Saudi Arabia or common Syria or Lebanon etc to be wipe out of existence , why then would the Arab world plotting that against Israel
And there is no genuine Christian born of the Holy Spirit that can wish Israel evil or the enemies against Israel.

So, the Holy Spirit s the seizure of Gaza and the construction of a holiday resort on it? Would the Holy Spirit inspire a post like Trump’s? That’s the real issue here.

I assume you’ve read the Bible or are at least familiar with the historical s in the Old Testament. If so, then you know that Israel’s conflict with its neighbors predates both Christianity and Islam. The core of the conflict has remained unchanged, it's the portrayal that is used to evoke sympathy and rally for different sides that takes on a modern flavour.

What I’m asking you to do is objectively assess the morality of Trump’s plans—particularly his post, which is the focus of this discussion. Then, with your conscience as a Christian, ask yourself: is this the kind of message a "Christian" world leader should be putting out?
