Smiles.....i suggest you read more....cyberattacks can be successful against anybody! even if you spend Nigeria's 2017 budget on Cybersecurity.....a lot need to be done wrt awareness on this topic.

You should rather read more on the issue.

For your information, any device that has any form of connectivity is exposed to cyber attack however, it is the cybersecurity put in place that prevents successful attacks (or blocks cyber attacks). Cybersecurity can be as simple as anti-malware, anti-spyware or anti-virus software etc.; even complex such as cryptographic software, firewall, Intrusion detection system (IDS), Intrusion prevention system (IPS) etc.

Cyberattacks happen every second.

AntiWailer:
I doubt if a Cyber attack can be successful against a Nigerian Bank.

They are highly regulated and they spend too much on IT infrastructure for that to happen.

Bank customers can be tricked to let go of their credentials via phishing but 2 factor authentication can protect to some extent.

The plenty innovative products exposes the customers to a lot of risks too but they make enough money to cover their risk appetite.

I agree with you absolutely.

However, our banks have been very proactive in customers' awareness in order to reduce the incidence of being tricked to give away their credentials to cyber criminals.

Then it should have been KTN as KTU would be easily mistaken for Ketu. It all shows that those who coined the abbreviations did not do a thorough job.

I guess it was done that way since Ketu is not LG headquarters. AKD is another one that most Lagosians always mix up because AKD used to the number plate abbreviation for Ikorodu Division in the early 70s.

AKD was derived from Akodo, the capital (or headquarters) of Ibeju-Lekki LG.

Its very simple.... During the change of name for unilag, MKO Abiola already had two tertiary institutions named after him, so why naming a third one after him?? Him get 3 heads?

Secondly, the prestigious institution is among the first generation university and has already made name. The mention of UNILAG alone has this swag that comes with it as a mega school in a mega city in a mega location... For those who dont know, the fight to revert the name back to unilag was fought by the ALUMNI not the student.

So therefore you can't just wake up and change the name to MAulag... dafuk ??.. sounds like incantation.

God bless UNILAG. I never regretted schooling there!!

Same way the Old Boys of the first secondary school in Nigeria fought for three years to get Lagos State Government revert to it's old name, CMS Grammar School, Lagos.

In 1973, the state government changed the CMS Grammar School, Lagos to Lagos Anglican Boys Grammar School, Bariga. LASG reverted to the old name in 1976 after much pressure from the Old Grammarians' Society (OGS), the school's Old Boys' Association.

Bros, it says turkish cyprus, so that means turkey. Well, i wouldn't know, I don't condone arabs or fly with their planes or fly to their countries. When i for dun see turkish, na to cancel that route straight.

I have a solution for arabs, let arabs take current day Israel and let all the arabs in north Africa go back to their countries and land, we can give Israel current day Algeria.

Turks are not Arabs but of Caucasian race, that is why they can apply to EU. If you call a Turk an Arab man, he'll be mad at you.

Turkey of today used to be a Christian nation until Islamic jihadists took over the land. Most of the cities Paul wrote epistles to, in the Bible are in Turkey today.

Are you God? Who are you to decide who gets Bethlehem?

Bethlehem is now with Palestine. Jordan retained control of the city until the Six-Day War in 1967, when Bethlehem was captured by Israel, along with the Sinai and rest of the West Bank. In 1995, Israel turned it over to the Palestinian National Authority in accordance with the Oslo peace accord and the Sinai was returned to Egypt.

Most of the sites we read in the Bible are under the control of the Moslems today; the Palestine Arabs already have Bethlehem, Damascus is in Syria, Mount Nebo in Jordan, Seven Churches of the Revelation (Ephesus, Pergamon, Smyrna, Laodiciea, Sardis, Philadelphia, Thyatira) and Assyrian Orthodox Church of Virgin Mary in Turkey and so many in Iran, Iraq, Egypt etc. More than half of Armenia, the first Christian nation is now part of Turkey. All these sites were taken over during the Islam conquest.

Jerusalem which they now say it's their third holiest site but it's the only holy site of the Jews. They won't give it up.

Spare a little bit of your time and read up on blockchain technology and how it is changing the world. It is almost applicable in all sectors of human endeavor.

It's not all about bitcoin, it is about the blockchain.
I kinda feel embarrassed when I see people speaking so authoritatively from a position of ignorance.
Educate yourself brother, bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme.

By the grace of God, we shall revisit this discussion soon.

WHAT IS BITCOIN?

IT'S CALLED MONKEY BUSINESS

A long time ago in a village far far away.......A lot of monkeys lived near the village.

One day a merchant came to the village to buy these monkeys!

He announced that he will buy the monkeys @ $100 each.

The villagers thought that this man is mad.

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys at $100 each?

Still, some people caught some monkeys and gave it to this merchant and he gave $100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and people caught monkeys and sold it to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys @ 200 each.

The lazy villagers also ran around to catch the remaining monkeys!

They sold the remaining monkeys @ 200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys @ 500 each!

The villagers start to lose sleep! ... They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left and got 500 each.

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.

Then the merchant announced that he is going home for a week. And when he returns, he will buy monkeys @ 1000 each!

He asked his employee to take care of the monkeys he bought. He was alone taking care of all the monkeys in a cage.

The merchant went home.

The villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell it at $1000 each.

Then the employee told them that he will sell some monkeys @ 700 each secretly.

This news spread like fire. Since the merchant buys monkey @ 1000 each, there is a 300 profit for each monkey.

The next day, villagers made a queue near the monkey cage.

The employee sold all the monkeys at 700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys!

The villagers took care of their monkeys & waited for the merchant to return.

But nobody came! ... Then they ran to the employee...

But he has already left too !

The villagers then realised that they have bought the useless worthless stray monkeys @ $700 each and they are now unable to resell them!

Nobody has use for stray monkeys....

The rush into trading in Bitcoin is the next *monkey business*

Once the trading stops who will want to buy a digital code with no intrinsic value?

It will make a lot of people bankrupt and a few people filthy rich in this *monkey business*

That's how *Monkey Business* works

Jews bear Sarah too, you know. The name is Jewish.

I would also like to know if the case is still the same.

The last post was as at 2016, I would love to know if this is still the case with North Cyprus. I mean the review made so far.

Nothing has changed. North Cyprus is still an occupied territory which is not recognised by the UN. Parents cannot wire money directly to their wards in that Turkey occupied country, expect through an institution in Turkey. You can't fly into the country except you go through Turkey, it's hellish.

Unfortunately the system allows you to proceed to sign and submit. The confirmation will come with the picture missing but with instruction to bring the picture to the interview. This is misleading though, the system should be amended to follow your line of thought.

Whaooo, this is a negative development. US Embassy should fix this, it is not an efficient use of IT platform. From IT perspective, it is difficult for me to rationalise this configuration.

Ask those that experience such, they probably used a scanned copy. Not everybody is good at manipulating the size and format of a photo to suit the required standard. This was my reason for giving the simplest and most direct method to getting the correct.

If that's the case, the system will not allow them to proceed beyond that point, so they won't be able to submit.

Hello House, please I need urgent advise I wish to attend a film festival in Los Angeles next month, and the fares are pretty high this period except for Qatar airways which seems to be better compared to other airlines. Please,is it advisable to fly QATAR AIRWAYS?, owing to the present middles east issues with the present government of the United States. As alleged by some people that issues might arise at POE.
Please house I need your candid advise, because as a movie director this festival is a stepping stone for my career.

The airline you fly do not matter (for as long as the airline is allowed to fly into US) and if you're taken up on that at the PoE, simply tell them that is most economical ticket available. Chikena.

Good morning everyone. pls I'm new to this page. I have my interview at the US embassy tomorrow. my reason is to go fit my wedding gown at the bridal shop which i already made payment for, so amendments can be done and also shop for my wedding accessories. I'm scared it's not a good reason. should i just tell them wedding shopping and vacation or just wedding shopping? also I filled just one of my occupations which is my office job. I have a business but I didn't mention it in my ds160 form; will it be okay for me to mention it at the interview that I do other businesses aside from the job I filled in my ds160 without making the VO suspicious?

Definitely not a good reason.

I did just that and it ed successfully but not on my confirmation page

I have read a number of similar complaints lately, I hope their is no system glitch. If the system confirmed that the was successful, then there is no reason why it shouldn't appear on the confirmation page, expect there is a system glitch.

again to reprint the confirmation page, if the pix does not appear then I suggest you create a new application from the current one.
