Hello guys, I turn 30 in two years time and I have been seriously considering picking up a skill before I turn 30. I have spent my 20s dabbling in and out, learning many skills I haven't mastered. My problem is that I struggle to finish things I start. The motivation usually dies half-way into the learning journey and so I would jump ship only to go find another ship to board lol. I'm moving to Canada next month and I would love to have at least one tangible skill under my belt before moving. The skill should exist within the digital world preferably and it should be niche, that is, it shouldn't be common. I have in the past tried my hands on web development which I didn't attain a desirable level of proficieny in before quitting. I would go back to it but it's too saturated right now that I would rather look elsewhere. I have done a little cybersecurity too but I am finding that I may not be able to do well in it as it's a very competitive industry. I suck at competitions. I'm looking for your recommendations for someone like me who lacks the motivation to see things to the finish line, for someone like me who is looking for a skill they could use here and also in Canada. What would you recommend for me? Thank you. |

What do you guys think of the way Indians are taking over Canada in massive numbers? Brampton's demography is 80% Indian. And it's not like they are assimilating into the Canadian culture, they are instead forming their own parallel society within Canada, posing a threat to Canadian values. Canada is appealing to me and to many not just because of her economic opportunities but also because of her values of freedom and egalitarianism. Diversity isn't importing immigrants from only one part of the world, it is balancing the immigrants who are coming in so that diverse countries can be represented. The US understands this very well which is why Nigerians are no longer eligible for visa lottery because they have taken in over 50k Nigerians, exceeding the threshold they set for Nigerians. 8 Likes 1 Share |

GreatAchiever1:The average Nigerian involves god in virtually everything they do yet they are among the nationalities that suffer the most in the world, the average Nigerian doesn't eat balanced diet, struggles to pay house rent, doesn't take vacations, doesn't have access to basic amenities that make life comfortable and livable. Basic amenities that people in developed countries who do not even care about god, enjoy. Thr average Nigerian is suffering and don't even know how much they are suffering because to them, God is good, God is taking care of them. Lmao. Travel abroad and you will see that either God hates Nigerians, or he is unable to help Nigerians,or he is just a sadist or he doesn't exist. 1 Like |

lyndaoyewole:I think reverse would be the case. AI wouldn't read with emotions or sentiments. It scans through for specific keywords and calculates how thorough, how well the sop explained points and assigns the sop a score. Or the sop can summarize the sop, highlighting the main points which the VO would work with. AI, I think would be more strict, as it is would follow procedures to a T. Humans can easily be influenced in their decision making depending on their mood, time of the day, how well they slept at night, how emotionally charged or beautifully written the SOP is. AI can't. But like I said, I read that somewhere. I'm not sure of the source. But if it is true, it will help to get a professional writer to write your SOP. |

lyndaoyewole:Do VOs even read SOPs? I read somewhere that they don't really do. They have AI do it for them. |

The program I'm gunning for is a two year diploma program which is 4 semesters. I am using a sponsor. Will my sponsor paying for one semester while proving that they are capable of sponsoring me throughout the duration of my studies, will that be enough? Or does my sponsor have to pay for fees for the entire duration of my program before IRCC will take my application seriously?
