Balogun (33+). has been tried and gave a decent performance (clean sheet vs. Costa Rica in a pre-WWC friendly), but is currently playing as a backup at St. Etienne (Arkema D1). The other one (Oluehi, 36+) seems past her prime and ready for retirement (Saudi League). There is no one else that's up and coming and credible. GeneralDae: |

Future for the SF is really exciting. Had to opportunity to watch the Florida St. vs Pitt game live on TV. Echegini and Abiodun went at it in the midfield, and both had very good games (Echegini scored the 3rd goal for Florida St.). The commentators were just singing the praises of Abiodun, commending her for her intelligent play on and off the ball. Nigeria is very lucky to have had a coach who discovered these two young ladies and gave them a chance at becoming great players, both of whom are really good box to box midfielders. Very proud of both ladies performances! Nigeria has the personnel and capability to become a top 20 team in the world, without a doubt. Offence, midfield and defense. My only concern is in the goal keeping department, where we don't have any credible #2 and #3 goalkeepers. Otherwise, we can compete with the best in the world. Deltamani: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Barca vs Granada (6-1) Oshoala with a brace and Edna Imade with a very good game, troubling the Barca defense with her pace. Great to see the two Nigerians, Oshoala and Edna Imade talking at the end of the game. |

Saying with a high degree of confidence, this Florida State team will beat any Nigerian Women's League team. They are really a joy to watch - ball movement, finishing and intelligent play. AkinDS: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Scouted from Nigeria to attend Brown Uni? Highly unlikely. Brown is an Ivy League school and very rarely award sports scholarships - in fact, I have never heard of a sports scholarship from Brown, let alone for women's soccer. So, its likely she grew up here and went to school (likely naturalized) so she will be eligible for an invite into the US national team. lovewins: 1 Like |

Until the US calls her to their U19 camp, then it will be all over. Deltamani: |

Didn't see much of Edna Imade's impact in the game today. Hopefully, will get to see more of her and assess if she is ready for the SF. For now, make she dey develop for her club. Deltamani: |

Awful mistakes by Nnadozie today. Sluggish reaction time on at least 2 of the goals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INxwI_3Sp20?si=5bV4zpgKyXJC33rE |

Those highlighted have absolutely zero business being on the team, as Oyono and Comfort are fundamentally very POOR players and definitely not up to scratch at this level. Otherwise, a decent squad. Deltamani: |

Regarding Randy, that’s the very least we could have expected from her, considering that the girls on the team pretty much read her the riot act about what will happen. It was the team leaders that pushed and are still pushing for Randy. I cannot think of one singular initiative she tables that our women’s football has benefited from. Pinnick was the one who really was the strongest advocate, pushing for the betterment of the team thru friendlies and getting Randy on board at all costs. Since he left, it’s been business as usual, especially with these riff rafts in control now. lovewins: 1 Like |

And what will be the purpose IF there is no competition to play in? We all witnessed how useless the men’s B team has become, and there is no reason why the women’s team wouldn’t undergo the same fate. Not impressed one bit with Falode. She is truly bereft of ideas to move our women’s football forward and needs to make way for someone more intelligent and with fresher ideas. She is stale and is no longer useful to to Nigerian football Deltamani: 1 Like |

Fact is that Onumonu is currently up against formidable choices at FC Gotham - Esther Gonzales and Lynn WIlliams are both starting strikers for Spain and the US respectively. There is also Midge Purce. She is not as good as either of them, so she is on the bench. As rightly stated, her best bet is to mover to another team. And the sooner, the better before she is declared as surplus to the team and cut. Deltamani: 1 Like |

I did - and thanks for sharing the video. It actually reinforced my initial assessment of her, when I first saw her play years ago. Still slow in her thought process and decision making, especially off and on the ball, as her movements are almost non existent and she seemed to be MIA on quite a few occasions. Hardly ever came back to defend (see how the likes of Oshoala and Onumonu constantly do that). She cannot play on the high impact, non stop running team that Randy has built, as she looks like she doesn't have that kind of energy. I still would on her - and I suspect that might be the reason why she hasn't been on Randy's radar. She comes across as a low energy player. On another note, the person that impressed me in the video was actually Faith Ikidi - still quick and sharp and full of energy. On and off the ball movements were on point. Would definitely have preferred her to Mummy, who is way past her sell by date. Deltamani: |

Don't know what Anam Imo has to offer. She was touted as the next best thing under Dennerby. She and Rash went to Scandinavia and played in the WC. We all have seen who clearly has been on the upward trajectory since then. Rash has moved on to bigger and exciting things, while she is still in Scandinavia. She is slow and just isn't an exciting player - that's why she has been under the radar. To me, she is in the same class as Ihezuo. Nothing inspiring. There are other exciting players to focus on, please. BascoVanVeli: |

Edna Imeda short video. Pace, power and packs a shot. And she's only 22! Reminds me of Salma Paruello of Barca and Spain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE-Bama8Ndk?si=lVUlUwkpiOpZWARo |

Which strikers you don too get? Oparanozie has retired. Oshoala is getting old and is injury prone Monday is now a left back Onumonu blows hot and cold With this girl, who is built like a tank (she reminds me of Paruello - same speed, build, guile and left foot) as well as Babajide, you have two good options to fill the gap. Exciting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1N1hYxI7FU?si=ZhnYBPoSrFQ1GIO_ Deltamani: |

Stopped reading after this. The fact that you would lend credence to someone who made disparaging comments about of the team (coaches and players), denied the comments and then went on to record an interview to pretty much validate what she said, goes to show where you get your facts from. Like it or not, as I previously said, Onome Ebi has outlived her usefulness to the team. She needs to leave the stage when the applause is loudest, else, those will quickly turn to boos and negate the great work she has done for the team in the past. Its her choice on which form of exit she want's her legacy to be pinned on. This latest team list was certainly NOT picked by Randy, as evidenced by some of the squad who Randy would have never give consideration to. The Monle Oyono goalkeeper, for one, is someone Randy will never have considered. Ditto that for the Folorunsho girl, both of whom had poor performances previously at the national stage. This team is sprinkled with some good players to help mask the incompetent players slotted in. Nice try, NFF! BascoVanVeli: 1 Like |
