Like!! we should let osimhen beπŸ€£πŸ€£β€¦.a whole biggest striker currently in Nigeria and even in Africa….we should let him beπŸ€£β€¦..a big popular figure
He for no play for Nigeria πŸ˜‚. When we are desperately looking for our own Salah, Drogba, Eto. For the first time in like a decade we are seeing a glimpse of such, you say Nigerians shouldn't talk about him πŸ˜‚

People should allow Osi be for god's sake angry
It's his life, it's his career, it's his choice, it's his decision
Stop playing god in his life, you have no clue of the full info about this matter stop judging him stop painting him stoopid he knows what's best for him and whatever choice he makes has no bearing with any of you judges
Let the guy be!!!
Enough!!!
You guys should end this rubbish talk, fans commenting on Osimhen transfer saga is normal as a football fan. Even Nigeria manU fan in my village that has never cross his village will give his strong opinion on who and who the club he's ing should sign. Any football fan is free to give his or her take on any player (even though we all know our opinions matters less).

Trust me had it been oshimen accepted Chelsea offer last season with conditions for top bonuses like qualifying Chelsea for champions league to top it 10M annual wage.....by now that wage for him would've been reviewed and improved upon because surely he would've not just qualified Chelsea for champions league but make them compete for epl trophy and also win Chelsea the champions league

He would've been a house hold name now in the world of strikers and the most talked about in the EPL
Oga leave am, that Chelsea offer was an insult. Even though I had want him to take a paycut if necessary but no be that Chelsea own.

Agu did well no doubt bro but saying he reminds u of Ashley Cole too much my brother 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Na so many take hype Osayi after his decent outing against Portugal 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
I'm only talking about similarity in their style, I'm not saying he's on Ashley Cole level just yet, just as some say Uche moves like Yaya.

Bro no hype, I was so impressed with his play, same with Frederick. First thing I ask a guy sitting close to me was, who are this two guys, since I was not too familiar with their faces.

Thank you.

Felix Agu has what Bruno Onyemaechi and Zaidu Sanusi are lacking in their games, the basics.
Felix Agu, has an edge when it comes to movements and interpretation of space and he is also a good defender and shows more concentration
and presence on and off the ball.

Even though Bruno Onyemaechi is more skillful.
that guy is good, I'm seeing an Ashley Cole type of player.

This statement you are calling dumb is the statement that made me respect Finidi as a tactician.
The same statement that made him unable to win a game for the Eagles and got him fired. I won't beg any of the players to play for me blah blah blah πŸ˜‚

A coach that played under Aragounes, Sinclair and Van Gaal can't be tactically dumb. When he talks, it is better to pay attention.

Finidi was actually giving a deep education on modern day philosophy. Players now have roles and duties. Instead of restricted positions. Look at Dembele or Kvaratskhelia play yesterday, taking up multiple positions. It showed fluidity than just formation.

In today's game, teams switch formations to adapt to different changes. Finidi is saying understanding your roles, when to make changes is what leads to winning.
Bros leave this talk, now you are talking about switch formation, all still boils down to formation, whether run, stop, freerole, switch role, overlapping fullbacks, false are all interpretations of different formations coaches introduced into the game of football. The team that execute it's formation better most times win games.

"Spending time in making players understand the formation, is it not same thing with teaching a particular formation "
As you saidπŸ˜‚πŸ’€
You notice his point still goes around formation. But that same formation is not important. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
zicky(m): 6:34pm On Jun 01
TheGoodJoe:

The point is simple. It is important for player to know how to interpret their roles in any formation.Understanding how to interpret roles is more important. This can easily enable a coach to switch formation because players understand their roles.

Whether you play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2, or 4-5-1, that is not as important as players understanding how to play their roles in each formation. As soon as players understand interpretation, they can play better in what ever formation is set.

So Finidi prefers spending time in making players understand the ideas than focusing on just teaching a particular formation.
Turenchi, all this story just to make excuse for a simple sentence that's very clear and needs no explanation. Even your mentor Pep or Enrique or the sarcastic Mourinho wont make such dumb statement at press time. That's why our politicians can make dumb statements and we the ordinary citizens will now have the job of explaining what they mean or did not

Finidi can't be wrong. The point is clear. No matter the formation you set, with poor interpretation, the formation will not succeed. However, if the players are trained to interpret formations effectively, no matter the formation you set, they have a high chance of winning. So the formation is not as important as understanding how to interpret formations.

Finito.
now you are trying to play around with words. As a coach, you have a formation first before talking about interpreting that formation. There will be no interpretation without a formation. Not for a coach to tell us formation doesn't matter, similar to the popular 'na statistics we go chop'

I already clarified before that Finidi was 100% right with the bolded statement.

Either way, I have no doubt that with time, Finidi would have made us phenomenal. Our quest for immediate results hampers growth of coaches. I hope Chelle gets quality time.

Formation is not the most important that wins games but the interpretation by the players. No matter the formation or tactics put on ground, if the players don't understand and interpret their roles, the formation won't succeed. So understanding roles and interpreting it is more important than formation.

This is one of the smartest tactical things I ever heard and it came from Finidi George. Increased my respect for him as a tactician.
Ogbeni you are contradicting yourself. Formation is not important but the interpretation, what are the players interpreting (formation). How a team attack or defend as a group is what we refer to as formation. So my dear goodjoe, Finidi was wrong and you are also wrong.

The real question is do the players in the NPFL believe in the league? Everyone wants to go abroad. Ask any player what is his ambition next season. Na to Japa.
it's a Nigerian thing and not just the players. The japa syndrome is affecting almost every profession in the country.

None was better.
But you single out Iheanacho, making it look like his sub was the worst.
zicky(m): 10:47am On May 29
Meliforme:
Considering the tempo of the game, the introduction of Iheanacho was a school boy error.
What was needed was a genuine midfielder, who can win duels and slow down the game with good controls of the ball.
which sub was better, Iheanacho, moses or Musa. From the yesterday match, Iheanacho sub seems better than the other two. Moses came try to dribble the whole team as if he's Messi, after that he disappeared.

What's embarrassing when we don't allow other strikers to have longevity in eagles... imagine Osimhen just beat Odegbami record of over 43 years.

Good that we are having Osimhen now
You are getting my point, we discard our players easily maybe because we have 200 million population, so we feel we can easily replace any player.

Which ones are getting close to 100 sad

Godfrey Chitalu holds the highest at 79 in 111 games
Kinan Phiri at 71 in 117 games
Hossam Hassan at 69 in 177 games!

Drogba, Eto'o & Gyan have 65, 56, 51goals in 105, 118, 109 games
Just look at the number of games!

Mane is 45 goals in 113 games. Just 8 goals above Yekini with about 50 games more!

Yekini had only 62 games! You don't know what embarrassment is
Pls I'm not here to talk down on Yekinis achievements, for me having 37goals as a record for over 30yrs is embarrassing as a football power house we claim. Look at The Drogbas, Etos, Gyans are at least more recent.
Pls my comment have nothing to do with Yekinis goals vs number of games debate. Even if it's 40goals in 200 games.

Simple...

If he goes to Saudi today, I'm damn fulfilled. Make English clubs go eff themselves.

He's shown that he's not a small or an average player. Many people saw him go to the Turkish SΓΌper Lig and even thought or wished he won't perform πŸ˜‚

24 years record - The highest scoring foreigner in a single season (all comps.) in the history of the Turkish SΓΌper Lig (not even for Galatasaray alone)... Kokmekn been dey save some drafts...

Osimhen doesn't just break records, he extends them and raise the bar higher to make you sweat to break it! Ask all the U-17 players wey don dey try even equal him record since 2015. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ‘‘
The only fulfillment Osimhen' can give to is to break the Yekini 37goals. That record is an embarrassment to Nigeria when you see other African teams getting close to 100goals as a record.

They've been knocking on the door for a while now so I'm glad they got it done this time.

It's a huge win for privately owned NPFL clubs as it shows that with the right investment and structure, success is possible.

It's also proof that a club doesn't need to be government-funded to compete at the highest level in Nigeria. You are happy a private owned club could compete in the NPFL with government fund but still go on to ask the ogun state government to do something for the club 😲

Hopefully, this will inspire more private ownership of football clubs and better management across the NPFL.

Big congratulations to Mr Kunle Soname, Remo Stars. the people of Ikenne and Ogun state.

Governor Dapo Abiodun suppose do something for the team.

So after all the talks and rumor mills, Man Utd are not in for Osimhen.

Charles, you can rest now. Na Cunha una manager want. Lol
Sorry to say Man Utd is not a serious club as at here and now. You have Casimero on 350k and Mount on 250k. Get rid of one of them or even both and get Osimhen, a top striker, a game changer.
