CashOP: Good morning. I'm sorry to hear about your family's VV refusal. The response you have stated is the generic response given when a refusal is given. The best way to proceed is to apply for a GCMS note. This will explain in detail why you were refused, and that way, you will know what you need to do if you intend to reapply. If you read backwards on this trend, you will see where the steps to apply for the GCMS note were posted; it takes about a month to get it. I hope this helps 1 Like |

Uswingsx: Hello some one posted this some time back, and i have used it, and it was free Just follow the steps:- This is actually for GCMS notes via CBSA - Go to Google, search ATIP - Pick the first option from the list of results - When the page opens, click on next - click/mark the privacy box and click continue - on the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down - from the next drop-down, select a foreign national outside of Canada - fill out your required information in the boxes below (Use your Nigerian address and phone number pls) - Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so - pick member of the public for the category that best describes you - Pick electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records - click continue - on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down - select English in the next drop-down - select case files for the type of records - fill out all necessary information below(for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX) - In the comment box, write a short intro and your request. Eg: Hello/Hi My name is SURNAME, First Second. I have applied for a visit visa, my UCI is ...... and my application number is ......, DOB. I would like to have the notes for my file - then click continue - also click continue on the next page(you don't fill anything here) - You are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info - Check the I certify box and click continue - You should receive a confirmation email from CBSA 1 Like |

Joeblackdedon: Good morning. This is my opinion; at the end of the day, what you want to do is more important. But I do not think applying for your GCMS will affect your application, you are simply asking to know the status of your application, and the agent does not have to know you are doing that. You have waited so long; what harm will it cause for you to request to know why the delay? You have nothing to lose by requesting your GCMS note. But as I said, this is my personal opinion, you have the final say on what you want to do. I hope this helps |

Olacalm11: What you need is your UCI number and your Application number, your agent( i am not sure he will give it to you ) and request for the numbers with out that you are at the mercy of your agent. |

Olacalm11: Hello, do you have your UCI number and your application number? If you do then you can proceed to apply for your GCMS note requesting for the status of your application, there you will see the type of application applied for and also you can request for the documents submitted so that you know if any fake document was sent in that could lead to a ban from IRCC. I hope this helps. |

Uswingsx: Best to apply for a GCMS note to confirm the status of your application, but you need your UCI number and your application number. If you have both, then proceed to request the status of your application. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

FADEO: Good morning and thanks, For the accommodation I used Expedia.com to get hotel accommodation that would allow you to book without payment, once i got the visa I went ahead and paid for the hotel I booked but not before. When you open the site, input your travel date and sort the hotels according to what you want - price and total refund after cancellation and book now pay later options. Then you book and you will be sent a reservation. As for the flight I used a travel agent she got me the ticket on hold and after I got the visa I went back to rebook with her and made payment. But I know people get to do the same by themself on the airline website like Air and KLM. I also used Expedia.com to book the Tours that I will be going on when I get to Paris and I also included that in my application. I hope this helps, all the best. |

Marcgrace: Hello, below are the answers to your questions:- - During your appointment at the TLS center for submission, did they collect the printed version of your completed Schengen Visa Application Form? - Yes they did, they will sort the form out and collect part of the form needed, I printed mine in color and went along with it. - Was your return travel ticket fully paid, or was it a dummy ticket?- No, you are advised online not to pay for any ticket until your visa is approved so I just booked and used it without paying for it, then once I got the visa I went back to the travel agent rebooked it, and made payment. - You mentioned a pension statement and a cover letter; is the cover letter provided by your Pension Manager?- Yes my pension providers and my bank provided me with a cover letter stating how long I have been with them and confirming that I have an with them. - Lastly, is the Personal Tax Card issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service or Is it a form of tax certificate or something else?- Yes I went to apply for the tax card at the Lagos state tax office i have always paid my personal income tax right from time but I never had my tax card so I went to the office gave them my tax number and requested a tax card and tax clearance certificate. All backlog was paid and the card was issued. I hope this helped you and i wish you all the best with your application. 1 Like |

Oluwsaseyepaul: Hello, you are doing the right thing. You need to wait a day for the system to reconcile your paying, and then you will be moved to the calender. Please do not generate another receipt that will mean you want to make another payment. log out and try again tomorrow and hopefully you will be taken to the calendar 1 Like |
