Can you listen to yourself? Resurrect Abacha and hang him then. Miscarriage of justice in the past can only be addressed by acts of exoneration and reparation in future by those not connected with the events.

Your talk is oxymoronic because if you punish or harm a man wrongly and then die, you cannot come back to regret or undo your action.

It is those who have outlived you that can do the right thing and make that can applogize to that man through acts of exonerating him.publicly.

Even a bright kid of ten can tell you this is no act of forgiveness. It is ission that wrong was done to to Ogoni nine who were not guilty of a crime. The honour bestowed on them is then the act of reparation on behalf of Nigeria. Simple.

Easy tiger! we are saying the same, how could you not have seen that perspective in what I wrote though?

I do not see forgiveness and exoneration as the same. This is where exoneration applies not forgiveness.

There is no forgiveness after punishment. A purported forgiveness after punishment means nothing but revenge.

Infact, there is no forgiveness after punishment for a crime upon an innocent person.

A Nigerian company should just absorb all the sacked staffs…I will just advise anyone that before you challenge your employer, get another job first cos no other employer will employ you once they know you were sacked from somewhere for challenging your former employer.

Boils down to no, slow or bad justice system. If there were laws and the same efficiently enforce, no such employers would dare without paying avoidable consequences.

I will advise the FG to train them in other skills.

As an authority in fx trading I can say with my full chest that it is not something you can just train people about.

It takes years of mastering and emotional discipline to have a headway.

Its better you buy keke napep for each one of them.

I'm a strong authority in fx trading and I even developed EAs that trade for me.

Except they just want to waste money they should please forget this project.

Don't get me wrong.

Fx trading is a genuine business but only very few who have mastered their emotions are making money and they are not even up to 4%

They don't know it is one of the hardest profession to participate in. Only psychology is the biggest obstacle to be conquered among others like internet, power etc.

Maybe it will reform their psychology to make them think better about life in general, about who to vote, why dirt should be disposed properly, why pricing of real estate requires regulation in order not to cause an artificial bubble.

If they don't regulate their training well, tears loading....

and the tears are necessary before a trader that will become profitable understands the importance of risk management.

Forex is profitable but it is a rite of age to feel the pain of loss and how strong the psychology that makes that happen materializes in the individual learning.

Youths never learn engineering and manufacturing finish, you guys now want to take up a probabilistic system that requires a different mindset to master. With failure rates in the 90%s.

If they can pull it off, fine and good. But can they? when the easier task of seamless engineering, manufacturing, agriculture and security is undone?

Wow,

So each street light is as expensive as a luxury house, real estate building.

That's around $150,000 one can use to almost get a house in the US.

What a rich country to be spending so much for a street light. I hope arrangement for facility management, maintenance, repairs, theft and vandalization prevention of the infrastructure has been covered for say 6 years.

We didn't borrow for this, did we?

Maybe the fund allocated for it is designed to sustain the presence of that streetlight indefinitely because it would be a shame for that amount of expense for so little value.

Are you projecting a higher value?

Personally I think the 800bn may have been inflated but I can't prove it although I know for a fact that all the raw materials needed for road construction we have it naturally occurring in sufficient quantities. Coal tar, bitumen, asphalt, laterite, crushed rocks and limestone.

I would like to believe calculations are objective, totally removed from the behaviour of the Nigerian government towards management of funds. Just an estimation except they have a way to differentiate when fuel is sold is for anything other than road use.

What's your take?

Yeah, they haven't factored the degree of devaluation due to inflation and the exchange rate differential. The gains are supposed to be above
about 100% to at least break even.

if the responses to my questions actually answered my questions, what is the need of "extracting"?

you did not answer my questions.

1. Who told you that the army is a complete government of its own?

2. Where did you get that from?

3. What does the army investigate?

4. Is the army's military police meant to police civilians? you said "Largely, Normally, No. Especially in a democratic setting, the Police Force exists to handle civil matters".

if that is your response, then what has this got to do with the questions I asked?

5. oga, where have you seen the military serving as "first responders" or you just want to throw words around?

do you actually know the meaning of "first responders"?

6. Corps of intelligence gathering to gather what intelligence?

7. how will it do that?

8. are the army an investigative body?

9. do they have detectives?

I see. Well, good talk, good talk.

By my calculations, I'm projecting an inflow of N903 billion based on this move.

NGN 0.903 trn can be self sustaining if well managed. When you take away the NGN 800 bn require expense, the rest can go into other developmental things like better, streamlined system of planning, expansion, upgrades and multi-mode connectivity and indigenous research and development, standardization and implementation, and of course welfare.

Yes, they investigate too.

There's also a corp for intelligence gathering, Signals and Military Police. If they know what they are doing, no terror survives when only one of these 3 distinct corps and services is functioning properly. Just one o. Just one.

Great Attahiru rest on. The late COAS wasn't perfect but was the man for the job undoubtedly.

I hope this army chief is not doing photo ops, and if so he should watch his back and be a step ahead of the sponsors of terror because the Chief will have to fight both ground troops and sponsors likewise.

This chief better not repeat Attahiru's slips, he better be steps ahead, ahead.

I wish him and true Nigerians victory.

When next there's another Attahiru you guys will feel both stations shake, infact actually three battle grounds will shake, the ground troops of terror, their country sponsors and thirdly, the foreign sponsors who play both sides to your faces using familiar institutions masking as good, oh Nigerians.

So you really told them that? You get mouth o. That's flippant mehn!
grin grin.

Lols, there's nothing more flippant than for them to assume another sovereign human should just go marry as if it were a one-party operation, that the other person will always agree or that their 'agreement' or 'consent' were inconsequential (imagine how preposterous when it's coming from a woman, what an irony! walking contradictions!), not considering if both parties are compatible. They are basically assuming I cannot recognize what I want in a partner, they even assume all partnership is the same with the popularized traditional roles. The amount of flippancy embedded in that statement especially when they say it so disrespectfully is just inexhaustible.

Imagine that when they say it, So one should just 'kidnap' a partner (they have not even considered the affinity type), will they be willing to handle all requests and blames from that operation because apparently one should get married because of their busy-body, they should draw up the timelines, copulation, handle resulting financial problems, and so on. Isn't that ridiculous? There's so much to say about the ridiculousness it has to be witnessed when it's being said to them pressure for pressure.

Infact let's assume that they really believe their logic, then they should actually consider dieing sooner, really, because if they so wish to be so hasty in cycling out, after a certain age, marriage, then death, then they are also missing out on a step. They miss a step when they marry and yet to have one more child. They miss a step when they fail to die after having the amount of offsprings they want, then again, eff what they want because they didn't consider mine before suggesting marriage. Hence, to die sonner should be their recommendation, mirroring their logic.

Can you imagine a grown human being throwing away personal planning towards lifelong or short term adult partnership to please a total outsider (or even an unaware familiar) oblivious of all parameters about his/her person, completely aware that they will bear no responsibility for any or all incompatibility, conflict and critical situations which will make or mar one for life in the partnership they so hurriedly want to force into reality.

Brah, there's therefore no difference between a gambler relying on sheer luck and no planning and these guys who flippantly harass unmarried adults when they say this.

Pressure for pressure.

It surprises me when they feel so entitled to my life, such that they feel they would live my life better than me. Imagine inferring that I should not be entitled to decision I have resolved to make whether due to careful or not so careful thinking and reflection. Like they don't believe that what ever is outside me is under advisements automatically, they feel because they say, I must do. They be playing, feeling too much of themselves.

This here again is another failure just like many others of the Judiciary, its standards and absence of quality control and checks of processes/tasks validation.

If the Judiciary were working his wrongful accs should have been held instead.

The Police would have been fined and the funds deducted from source so that it can affect their budget for tainting their duty and standard of policing, eroding public trust and disregard of ethical standards of the profession. Nobody will tell the Police command to deliver the officers responsible for eating into their collective budget and thereby affecting every other police officers' paycheck.

When consequences are felt during enforcement, order will stay.

Nobody even mentioned why he was arrested in the first place

He was maliciously framed as constituting public nuisance, said to be fighting in public, just because the street boys around did not get a share in the funds he received from the small fame and encounter with the former Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi and his convoy, so the story I hear goes.

Then the police added baseless charges because there is no Judicial system. They just say one did so and so and it sticks with no evidence or even with evidence to the contrary.

I just wanted to add that, while this is not an endorsement on not keeping a discipline habit of zero littering policy and responsible waste disposal, do you know that even when you have done all you can, you have these scavengers come scatter overflowing or well staked or sealed waste in order to access their finds and leave the place as if the waste was irresponsibly disposed it in the first instance?

There are also loose cattle moving around and tearing up well staked, bagged, or sealed waste.

This two instances is the highlight the impact of failure of regulation on the part of government.

To hasten a better orientation for the country as a whole all components must be responsible, whether individual, corporate, government or otherwise. Everything thing here now hinges back to the judiciary.

The judiciary is weak, slow and endorsing all these discord by its inactions else there would have been very perceivable order in all strata of citizenry as regards this simple cases suck as waste handling at the elementary level.

Even right now with no penalties associated with overstay, the Immigration still milks you dry for one day of overstaying. For example if you have a Nigerian multiple 2year visa, they will only give you 90days at the point of entry. You are then supposed to go to an Immigration office if you are going to overstay. I was reliably informed that the reason they give you especially a Nigerian with all the possibilities of overstaying is to exhort money upon departure. They will not give you more than 90days.

There is penalty associated with overstay even now. In fact, this is arguably an attempt to grab the current contract from the present consultancy the NIS is working with.

The current definition of illiterate is archaic.

This is 2025 where children of 6 years can read and write.

Now, Illiteracy is the inability to learn, unlearn and relearn.

I don't think it is an ability o. It is a state. If it is an ability thing then one is entering the realms of being "challenged", or "handicapped"

Over stay cases on arrival?
What concerns anyone in naija airport if you overstayed on a visa issued to you by a foreign country?

No overstay cases are intercepted at departures. I was only explaining one the reasons for non uniform personnel for Immigration saying perhaps something similar may apply to NDLEA.

Visa issued by a foreign country is regarding access to the country on the said visa. If it came from a Nigerian embassy in a foreign country it is considered as Nigeria issuing that visa.

See generally, every non ECOWAS enger stay regardless of their visa (exception being, STR (green/CERPAC card, dependent and diplomatic visas) is regulated by the e guidelines. If you do overstay AND ARE INTERCEPTED, you will be required to do the necessary extension you should have done in the first place, you will also be subject to a 100% penalty. This essentially means you will need to pay twice of what you should have done in the first instance. All this is whether or not you are able to catch your flight afterwards.
