You averaged cgpa 2.8 in your first 3 years at school. Let me do a calculation to see if you can finish with a 2.1(3.50).
2.8 × 3 = 8.4
Assuming you got 5 point in your 400l. Then let's add it to your total cgpa from 100l to 300l
5 + 8.4 = 13.4
13.4/4 = 3.35
In conclusion, at most the cgpa you may end up with will be around 3.30, even after having 5 point cgp in you final year at school.

NB: This is calculation base on my assumptions since I don't know your total credit loads and total accumulated credit points.

I know of assistanships. If you do WES credential evaluation your cgpa of 3.45/5 will reach up to 3/4 in the US grading system. With a 3 point cgpa out of 4 and a good GRE score you'll be able to get assistanships or scholarships.

It's impossible for you to graduate with 2.1 with a cgpa of 2.8 after 300l since you only have 2 semesters left.

I have a low gpa of 2.57 on a scale of 5.00 in my undergraduate mechanical engineering
So I would love to know if there are schools anyone can recommend to me that would accept me for masters degree
I’m just worried because I’ve got ission refusal from MARSHALL and UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN and since then I’ve been down because they’re the school my hopes are on because of the high acceptances rate

I don’t know if anyone can advise me and also recommend school that accept low gpa of 2.57/5.00

Why not do WES evaluation? With that I think your cgpa will increase.
