AGBOR-MAN: dude what are u talking about? d security job for instnce u mentioning,in d entire UK for eg..door security is over £7/hr for 12hrs a day or even sitting at a reception browsing on the internet or watching tele in the name of security job..These guys rake in as much as £2,500 with ease. Meanwhile the keke napep stuff, police, lastma, traffic wardens will eat from little money made in a day let alone the dehumnising nature of the job where drivers fight with ''agbero'' on an hourly basis.. I wish u knew what courage it takes to do this.. 3 Likes |

this is the kind of things u get when some lads are so jobless..turning the mourning of four families into a joke section and some morons r liking the senseless joke. |

md003: they should have just suspended the cop for may be 4 months but not sack. how does he take care of his family now. If only you knew how many nigerians toil all day long, only to end up emptying all they have to these ''daring black clothed armed robbers'' called the police, you wont be saying this. |

I believe there must be a school where they are formally trained to talk and act in the same manner with threats and everything possible.I have been asked before whether I do not have an ATM card

tonte: Was your money stolen by any of the above persons?dude are u okay? must you comment.. These guys are simply demons sent out of hell with a specific mission to torment Nigerians. Even if you were a child then and probably good at current affairs which I seriously doubt then these names will make sense to you after 3 decades of their highly controlled ''relay race'' with the nigerian masses forcefully asked to take seats at the stadium to watch. May b you one of those still believing''the youths are the future of the nation'' |

I'm a bit confused about the lexicon to use.I have never received a bribe before, but as per giving not so sure or rather I wish someone helped educate me if an involuntary response as a reflex action to police extortion with the aid of a gun plus the uniform is a form of bribe or outright robbery.I'm afraid it's not, otherwise every law abiding Nigerian had given a bribe..

bgirl: Thanks, just my thinking..In the most exemplified context, perhaps Nigeria has been more peaceful by killing of innocent children in classroom by BH insurgents.I miss those days when Nairaland was full of intellects contributing to blogs worth using as opinion tools for conducting academic research.... |

obstead200: U guys cud not notice that this post is fishy. If u have worked in a bank, or if u've ever been in charge of an atm, u'll know that it will take a real high powered explosive to break into an atm machine. Boko haram types of explosives wud not even dent the cash box. The only other way to gain assess is if u have the keys and the combination of the locks. Now we all know that keys and combination are held by cash officer and HOP. If u want my opinion, both hop and cash officer should be held for questioning. I smell a massive cover up here. u r dead right bru.the HOPS,cash officer and possibly the internal control dude shud b drilled..besides aw have they been doing the balancing of their cash GL? The security man might just b an accomplish.Wondering if ''the security man'' reconfigures the ATM machine after stealing from the cassettes or is a case of stealing from the rejects? If yes, there's no way the reject will have cummulatively up to N12m.There r smarter ways to commit fraud of huge sums..Mayb they need to b trained on this..just joking tho.. 2 Likes |

It's either this story is a hoax or else there must b an insider(in which case one of the two key holders will have given consent). If an ATM macchine is broken, the signs will be very visible.Besides,it wont even work as the error''cassettes not properly closed'' will crop up from the display console inside and invariably come out as''temporaly out of service''. The investigation will definitely turn out to indicate that an insider is involved. The ATM machine can only be opened via a combination of a set of security numbers known only to the unit heads or else a dynamite must be used.Just imagining in my head how a 20cm thick steel door with keys almost that long can be broken... NAIJA...I hail oh!! 1 Like |

we sure might commonise this but the times r changing globally and we will b a part of it!!! If the alleged N125million was actually spent on a party by a public servant, then the masses have the right to question the source of funds through public protests. The Arab spring and most recently Brazil have not experienced a quater of this corruption level and yet there were massive protests that ended up with a winning voice. If you guys have forgotten,a few crucial negative indices are stated below -graduates being employed and paid N40k/month -no water, light, good roads -manufacturing sector completely dead -selling of oil blocks to single individuals -embezzlement of pension funds(not govt funds but past employees savings) -entering law school officially over 300k -insecurity,armed robbery and prostitution -children as young as 10yrs fending for parents from hawking -not a single functional refinery -educational sector completely degraded -the disguised use of religion by politians to cause division along ethnic lines -Health care far below standards -Graduates being bus conductors, mechanics ,brick layers etc...(for real bro) please mind you mates, the rich also suffer in this country(middle class I mean),you get a house in the best places like Lekki, only to come back from work and put on gens that hardly allow you sleep... How I weep for my country.... Nigeria a nation that is supposed to bail out most African countries in distress yet the life of an average Nigeria is worthless in the eyes of our leaders.. I practically find the few mentioned ''crimes'' by the 6th largest producer of crude Oil dreadfully wicked against Nigerians. No wonder one of our late activists described Nigerian leaders as ''demons sent out of hell to torment Nigerias) Dudes the time to change our nation is now..LET'S RISE UP TO EVERY NEGATIVE TREND...WE CAN,,YES WE CAN AND WE WILL.. |

gunpoint: Cool bro, I love d fact d MCIPS is an add on to the msc. I'm totaly in. Lik I said keep us abreast of ur doins, to open up our minds to options cos lik I nvr tot abt the private consultancy to small coys bit. I am torn btw coventry and rgu 4 d msc, any partcular reason u went to rgu? Nd jobs in d uk for post msc in scm, any hope/chances? My choice for RGU was due to its strong industry interaction with oil coys in Aberdeen the latter being UK's oil capital. Also had endorsement from sibblings who finished there. For multinational oil coys,RGU still remains a great recruitment choice especially the likes of SHELL etc.BTW RGU's tuition is highly subsidised by Oil coys carrying out t R&Ds. In of picking up some UK experience after school which attracted most Nigerians to UK unis, the 2yrs automatic post study visa's been cancelled since April 2012.I graduated afterwards,so we didnt get it. I can confirm that Canada,Australia, and Norway still awards PSW visas, but won't know much 'bout educational standards like d UK schools.Trust me,RGU is remains a great option in of cost,MSc modules, quality of lecturers and international standards. |

adewale202: where is Nigeria going how can someone sustain with 15k If I ain't wrong-dt's like £3/day (working 20days per month)as against £6/hour in the UK.After factoring t-fair,acc,feeding,etc nothing is left.. God help us! |

.Hi mate, for d purpose of clarity and sheding more light on ur enquiry might b wrong tho,but from my opinion let me state d following 1.Your choice for an MSc in PSCM depends on ur motivation and ofcourse career path u want to further build. 2.Having earlier critically evaluated d banking sector, trust me dr isn't much cross-functional experience u can bring to other sectors apart from d highly volatile job insecurity.Infact as I speak, lots of my former colleagues were excused off while I was away and some r now thinking of aw to further boost what they've got.I'm on d process of heading a vendor management/procurement in one of d banks(but is dt what I really want? No).I am also on a process with TOTAL,tho began it frm d UK. 3.While I might not want to seem like convincing u further as per PSCM msc,I prob gs u've considered d multi-sectoral relevance whether b it FCMG,Oil and gas(especially outsourcing as a consequence of PIB local content policy),telecoms and even public sector.PSCM is just emerging and will remain d fad even 20yrs to come. Its not business models vs business models, but supply chains vs supply chains.compaines r searching ways of achieving competitive advantage especially increasing operational efficiency and cost savings thru supplier collaborations, reducing inventory lead times, seamless logistics, etc.Nigeria is way far from it especially d manufacturing sector.Infact I'm freelancing now on deg supply cahins for a few smaller coys.Nigeria is far frm it.Eventually I wud get into consultancy but need to acquire core experience and dts I'm solicitng any assistance in dis forum. 4.RGU gives d MCIPS but incidentally just from my set 2012 sept grad batch. 5.I can bet u hv also seen d afore-mentioned points and perhaps wanna take this move. 6.If ur mind is good to go,u can't regret it.Its just a matter of time.Mayb u might b d one to partner with me to break the MONOPLY of ACCENTURE supply chain magt consultancy in Nigeria. 7.I will agree with u dr r lots of roles in SCM,but needing over 5-8 cognate experience. 2 Likes |
