I am all for hooking up with someone who is travelling same time as me ooo but please and please be careful with accomodation sharing.I no go fit talk all but some people have had experiences with kleptomaniac mums, mums who come with nothing and leech on others,abi those wey go borrow diaper till they leave america,even a mum who went round an extended stay asking for 50-100 dollars loan under the guise of blocked card to pay back when her hubby came and took from more than 10people and after BC came out,she left the city without anyone knowing.Please when you are in a communal setting,be on your guard always and also be financially prepared when planning for this American journey. Dallas Forth Worth...One POE that still gladdens my heart...I booked a flight via British Airways to Elpaso and choose the option of waiting for 4hrs to connect to elpaso in case they decide to take me in for secondary questioning and ended up spending only 20mins answering questions,waiting for my bag and just sat through the whole 3hrs plus waiting for my flight..

Vo:Good afternoon,so why are you in dallas today
Me:Childbirth Sir
VO:Really Step back let me take a look at you
Me: i did oo and he saw belle(i wore top,jean and sneakers) so i wonder how him no see.Asked me how far gone.i said 35weeks and 4days as BA permits 36 to fly and i was indeed 35 and 4days
VO:Do you have a doctor's correspondence,i said yes,he asked for it,checked it
VO:Do you have other kids?
Me:I said Yes i do,they are back in Nigeria while showing him their zero balance,he just glances through and gives me back.
VO:Do you have your landing card with you?
Me:I said Yes,gives it to him and he turns the back to check the foodstuff i listed and returns it to me(i took everything takeable excluding yams,oil and seeds).
VO:Do you have money to declare...i didnt cos i went with 8k cash and cards.If you have cash to declare, they will just direct you to someone that will count it.
VO:Okay maam,enjoy your stay in elpaso and to pay your bills as you did for the others and get your receipts.
Me:Thank you Sir.Have a nice day.
He then directed me to where i picked my box from Agriculture..Before i got there,they had already screened mine so i just took my box,gave them my landing card and went to wait for my flight to elpaso....

Thank God for safe delivery and for following my instincts irrespective of assorted critics .Doctoreperati ooo,Eastside women's clinic,Del Sol Medical Centre,Drs and Nurses all treated me well and I know that all the people who have used them will testify.I am going back to my motherly duties.If you know you will be coming to Elpaso between ending of March and mid April,send me a pm if you are interested in kitchen utensils so you don't buy any.

All the Doctores critics don show again.We dey Elpaso dey bond ooo,they born,collect all our docs in 3-4weeks go house.Make una well done.Thats why so many El Paso bound people have refused to come back and give POE story or any other thing of that sort and resort to pm's.Dont judge when you don't know anything about a place.Face your own destination.So many people don't criticize MIHS,WHMC,Northside and the likes but when it comes to using Del Sol Medical Centre through Doctoresperati,claws will come out.If you have gotten there letter before,they will advice you on preferable POE's to use if you want.There are so many mamas who used Houston,Chicago and Atlanta POE here with Doctores letter and have gotten here successfully.So if you are not lucky, maybe the letter of responsibility no favour you.Just to add something else,if you come to El Paso,you will know that you don't even need to help them market Doctores.people from China dey come here,Togo,Congo,Kenya,Latinos,Naija and so many more.They are not lacking customers.

Isysleek..i will only speak based on dallas POE hoping that any other POE might do same.if you get to the POE,apart from some normal questions the CBP guy or lady might ask you,you will be asked where you are going to,what for and your documents to show that you have made proper arrangements.So all you need do is show them your letter of medical responsibility sent by Doctoresperati and a copy of the bill they mailed to you and other jara burden of proof you have.I hope I was able to answer your question?

The only reason you will have Houston as POE while connecting to ELP is if you are flying delta.British airways and Emirates(just the two I'm sure of) have POE as Dallas.

This forum is one of the best info forums I must it. I struggled with my self whether to go for visa or not as I was visibly showing but I did in d end and I got it (with the rest of my family). I have sent a mail to the Abuja embassy concerning my change of travel plans as we told them holiday at the interview, hopeful to get a +ve reply. Will be travelling on the 10th of Feb to El paso, I'm struggling with the best route to follow, pls can someone advise me on that putting my condition (will be 35 weeks then) in mind.

Out of curiousity,did you travel after getting the visa for holiday or you just want to change travel plans after telling them you are going on holiday.If it's the latter,I think its a case of misusing the change of intent stuff..Just saying.

However from all the response I have read concerning letter of change of intent, i don't think it's necessary to write it if you had used your visa for the purpose for which it was granted. B1/B2 visa includes medical assistance. If you got the visa for vacation and used it for vacation, you can also use it for birthing purposes later,without writing the embassy. Problem comes when you get the visa for vacation and don't use it at all for that purpose but instead turn around to use it for birthing. In that case it would appear you deceived the VO during your interview and so to clear that impression you need to write the letter of change of intent.

You are spot on as well.

Expectant mamas and daddies to be in the house. We thank God for all the stories and experiences shared here.There are some things i will like to shed light on;
1) Please do not underestimate the power of compression socks ooo. It works big time.The last thing you want to experience when you travel is complications that will arise as a result of deep vein thrombosis caused by swollen feet as a result of immobility. I know someone who has experienced it while going to give birth and it ended up being so serious. Wear the compression socks on long flights and as much as you can, try and be move around on the plane.

2) For those just ing the thread, you have no idea how blessed you are to meet this page up to 300 and something fully packed with information. i have never seen such a generous bunch of info sharers like the people on nairaland and all i can say is please do not start from the last page,take time and read from the beginning. If reading is too much of an issue, start from page 100. You will not regret it.

3) Also one basic thing that continues to be a focal point here is truthfulness. if you are going for your visa and pregnant, prepare well(pack your BURDEN OF PROOF)tell them you are pregnant and God willing you will be given a visa. If you are pregnant after your visa or have gone on vacation before, send a letter and get the standard reply. Let us not complicate issues for ourselves and then begin to blame the people at POE when the gist given to us here is one sided.

There are so many people who have used them and talked about them on the thread.Just try and read backwards.Secondly,it has never been mentioned that their letter of medical responsibility is rejected at POE.It is when using in to apply for visa that some VO's have doubts and this just started recently as some people who secured visas earlier used it.I hope its clear now.

Ezemistic....not to sound biased but I don't know about United airlines being better than BA.So far as you are going to El Paso,It will be fine if you use BA.We are many using BA going to EL Paso.Some with Dallas As POE while some Chicago.The best thing also will be to book BA through their website directly if you make up your mind on BA.
