Haroldjunior:If only we can appreciate what we have. These dogs are amazing |

coolcentbigman: The local breed is very wise. The annoying thing about the one I have is that it’s choosy with food. And it may be because I spoilt it a little. It’s meat or food mixed in meat water that it eats. Better not give it food without ‘obstacles’, it will not touch it and the food will finally get spoilt. Once it’s on leash, it will hardly poo, no matter how long you chain it except it’s chained for days which is rare. The dog is almost excellent on leash too. Without training, it falls in step with you, looking up at you from time to time like its trying to maintain pace. If I had my way, I would trade my other dogs (and I am talking large breeds) for original local dogs. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have no apologies or care about what people say. The dog has proved itself, so be encouraged OP. 2 Likes |

coolcentbigman:Even if you do not get likes, it does not remove the fact that the Nigeria sherperd is on another level. All you mentioned is not new to me, I have one and of the four dogs i have had (the others are and were foreign breeds), the local stands out abegiiii. It is small but mighty, the most feared too. No one can cross my gate anyhow because of this dog. |

coolcentbigman: My local breed has survived attacks that would kill other smaller dogs, not once and not twice and it still managed to wag its tail when it saw me. ![]() It didn’t not become docile because of this, infact it is like its power increases and it has refused to back down. ![]() |

coolcentbigman: The local breed is better than foreign breeds; you can take it or leave it. |

Haroldjunior:Beautiful dog. I love the Nigerian local breed any time any day. I have and have had the foreign breeds (big ones) and the Nigerian sherperd beats them hands brown. Feistiness, Fearlessness, territoriality, hardiness, self-training; they garrit! But for their size sha. 1 Like |

dayveed1: ![]() Would like to get a pure ekuke puppy that has some big gene DNA, though not one mixed with foreign breeds. |
![]() |
Floryangel8: ![]() My ekuke has now even influenced, for the better, my other larger GSD that was skittish. I had almost lost hope in raising dogs for security. These local dogs need to be given better respect. I have one and have had no regrets. 1 Like |

chidichuddo: Very. |

durubrian: May be they may not be the best choice security-wise when compared to some breeds but anything that moves near the gate of my house, my little ekuke is growling and pacing, barking and snarling like it's life depends on it. I walk my ekuke sometimes and I must say I like the way it falls into rhythm with my steps. Their size is the only disadvantage as it appears they do not grow much no matter what they are fed. 1 Like |

WanyeKest:I know ![]() ![]() I got it from a friend. These are the same breed of dogs I knew while growing up and they were agile, hardy, fierce and loyal. I will send a picture as soon as I snap it. I dont know about starting a diary though. ![]() This puppy has become the aggressor...tiny with high pitched bark yet getting territorial. I just think they do not grow as big as the regular foreign breeds. |

Had a Boerboel, have an Alsie and recently got a 'Nigerian Hound' puppy for 2k. Caused a stir as no one gets why I got it but the puppy is showing lots of potential. Just got tired of the so called foreign breeds and decided to start the local breed fad. ![]() 4 Likes |

I think one of the things not emphasized on Uber is this: The cars are comprehensively insured so even the engers are insured against any eventualities. You cannot get this with normal yellow cab services. I am an active Uber and I must say I prefer it. Why? 1. I prefer having to call a taxi from the comfort of wherever I am than standing by the road side to flag down a taxi. 2. I did a rough calculation of being stuck in traffic for about 3 hours. If a journey takes me say extra 3 hours due to traffic , I get to pay about N1,620 (N9*180mins) extra which makes sense since i would even be in a fully airconditioned vehicle rather than sweating in a yellow cab with a grumbling yellow cab driver who would want to hike the previously agreed fare. 3. I can easily call back the uber driver if I happen to forget any valuable in his vehicle. 4. I get a lot of free rides due to my promo code so I pay less eventually. 5. Hey, the app is so tech as well. Besides I can get chauffered in a cool ride for corporate and social events without hassles. This is just to mention but a few pros. I would expect that the proposed laws should be properly accessed before being implemented, taking into cognisance the peculiarity of this kind of service. 1 Like |

It is actually not MTN's fault. Part of the reason for their sanctions was as a result of this tariff plan. NCC claims the plan was not approved before it was rolled out and this was since May last year. See below: Thisday (May 25, 2015) - NCC STOPS MTN’S NEW TARIFF PLANS NCC at the weekend, ordered MTN Nigeria to stop implementing its new tariff plan called MTN TruTalk+ or face serious sanction. NCC, the telecoms industry regulator, said it did not grant approval for the promo, which is already running. The Commission also barred MTN from further ment of such service in the print, electronic media or websites. In a letter dated May 19, 2015 with ref No NCC/ MTN/18/15 and signed by the Head Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement, Mr. Efosa Idehen and Head, Legal and Regulatory Services, Mrs. Yetumnde Akinloye, the Commission said the records of the Commission showed that the operator has no approval of the regulatory authority before embarking on the new promotional tariff plan. According to the Commission, its Compliance Unit revealed that the new tariff with daily access fee of N5, allows subscribers to call all networks at 11k/sec and N20k/sec to UK , USA, India, Canada and China. The Commission’s investigations showed that MTN Nigeria has already configured this tariff plan on their network and has therefore implemented same without the Appropriate regulatory approval. It said the action contravenes section 108 (1) of the Nigeria Communications Act 2003. http://www.ncc.gov.ng/index.php?option=com_content&id=1686&Itemid=130 |
