I think this would depend on where you currently live in BC. I don't think the cost of housing in Ontario would be much less compared to BC, if at all any different. There’s a way you can work around it, your spouse can apply for a visiting visa and when she gets here, she can apply for a work permit, she can be on the work permit till the spousal sponsorship clicks. This was what my friend did as her husband couldn’t stay away from her for a whole year. Pls note that if you apply for work permit from Nigeria, you’ll be denied, you should get the visiting visa first , then get the work permit when you get here.

I know for a fact getting a visiting visa is not that easy from Naija.
