Boss I did took that step, I was told to go to their head office which I did, they didn't see it as a robbery or scam case but somehow put the blame on me for not calling the bank (Diamond) immediately. I report the stolen phone to the police and they bill me for 20k. But they said it was 50/50 chance and they started asking the worth of the phone, and if they haven't transfer the money in my . All this operation happens within 10 minutes. The phone is still useless with him till date. SIM lock is the way forward, Airtel customer service advice.
